sorry this is a week late, I went through a bad break up last sunday and couldn't get this part out because I was an emotional trainwreck. | |
It was what he wanted. I did it to shut him up, to keep him from thinking about what I said. Maybe he'd go back to Orochimaru and make things easier for me. But things never get easier for me, so why should I even bother with frivolous wishes?
I pulled away from him. He was blushing slightly, "You were saying?" He shook his head, "I don't remember." Takai walked in the room and jumped up onto the bed. "It's time to go meet Kakashi and the others." I nodded, ignoring Sasuke. "Come on, we better hurry." He snorted, "It's not like Kakashi will be there anyways. Plus you used to be late all the time." I shrugged, "it's better to be punctual."
"Tsukiko, what's wrong with Sasuke?" Sakura glared at me, "What did you do to him!" I blinked, "I kissed him, why?" Sasuke blushed as Sakura threw a punch at me. I stepped to the side. "What?! Why?! You know Sasuke is mine!"
I smirked. "On the contrary, I believe he is his own." She attacked me again. "Do we really need a repeat of the chuunin exams?" She stopped suddenly as I stared at her emotionlessly. "I'm have twice the strength I did then. And the only reason I didn't kill you was because Orochimaru attacked Sandaime." She stood, her face full of fear.
"Perhaps a demonstration then, Tsukiko." I turned around to see Kakashi. I cracked my knuckles, "With pleasure."
"Only, not against Sakura." I blinked, "Doushite?" He smiled, "because you'll kill her. Fight Naruto." I stared at him, "Whatever."
I stood a few feet in front of him. "It's a pity I'll have to hurt you, Naruto-kun." He smiled widely, "I was thinking the same thing." I cocked my eyebrow, "Oh? Well let's just see which one of us will succeed, shall we?" He nodded.
I did a few hand seals. "Beat Mimicry: Chakra stronghold." My demonic chakra was released, doubling my own chakra supply. It whipped around me in small turquoise wisps. Naruto, to my slight surprise, didn't tap into his demonic chakra just yet. I suppose he can only use it when he's low on his human chakra.
He stared straight into my cat eyes. "Invisibility no Jutsu." I disappeared before Naruto's eyes, though everyone else could see me clearly. I walked up casually to him and kicked him in the chin, making him fly backwards and skid across the ground. I yawned. "You make this too easy Naruto-kun."
He cursed under his breath before standing up. "Well if I can't see you then I'll get someone who can!" He summoned Gamabunta (frog boss). I smirked. "A stupid frog? I thought you could do better then this Naruto!" The gigantic frog looked down at me. "This is who you want me to fight? This little girl?"
I growled, "Hey I'm not that little!" I took out a summoning scroll, "This'll show you!" I did the proper hand seals and summoned Yuki. I stood up on top of her head, even though Gamabunta was still three times her height. "Tsukiko, what have I told you about summoning me for idiotic things?"
I snorted, "Shut up, you owe me. Now let's teach this fucker a lesson!" She grunted, "Lovely language there kid. I hope you've noticed that he's bigger then my husband." I laughed nervously and patted her head. "Yes but you've got claws and teeth while this toad only has a dagger."
She didn't seem so sure. "You have nearly three times as much chakra as him, why do you even need me?" I laughed, causing a confusion amongst everyone. "That's for me to know." I did more hand seals. "Beast Mimicry: Kontan Leashes Jutsu!" (Soul Leashes Jutsu) Two strings of chakra came from my hands. One connecting to Gamabunta, the other to Yuki.
"What the hell? She didn't do anything!" The toad boss grunted at Naruto. "I can't move." Yuki growled, "Me either, what are you doing girl!" I jumped off of her and onto the ground. "Pesky demons." I moved the leashes together so that I held them with my left hand. I formed a few more seals with my right hand (like Haku does) "Leash Seal Completion." The two strands connected, forming one. The demons were forced together, and to the ground. So both Yuki and Gamabunta were laying on the ground, side by side.
Naruto jumped down off of the frog and in front of me. I ended my invisibility jutsu so he could see me. "I figured you would do such a thing, so I went ahead and forced you to summon Gamabunta, so I could get him out of my way." His jaw dropped, "You're too predictable Naruto." He began forming a ball of chakra into his hand. "Oh yea? Well try this! Rasengan!"
I stared at him blankly as he ran at me. So this is this famous Rasengan. It's more powerful then Chidori. Before he could blink I preformed my trans-barrier jutsu. He tried to hit me with his ball of chakra, but it simply hit my barrier. I watched as it slowly began to move through it. Interesting. I gave a look of boredom as he barely managed to break my barrier, which wasn't a surprise since I wasn't using it to the extent of it's power.
I grabbed his wrist before his attack could go into my stomach. "Too slow." I kicked him in the groin, causing him to fall to the ground. I smirked as he held his crouch crying. "That was a cheap shot." I laughed lightly, "No shots are cheap in a priceless battle."
I dispelled my jutsu on Gamabunta and Yuki. Yuki growled at me. "Bakamono! (stupid person) You just summoned me in order to do your soul leash jutsu!" I smiled mischievously, "Perhaps." She shook herself free of dirt, "You need two demons to use that jutsu, that's why you tricked me into coming here."
I stared at her indifferently, "You shouldn't seem so surprised Yuki-sama." She disappeared in a huff, as did Gamabunta. I snorted annoyedly, "Naruto get up, I didn't kick you that hard." He had a river of tears streaming down his face, Sai was making several comments about him not being able to have kids now. I also noted that he had a particular liking in the word penis, which I found very odd.
But, I ignored them. "Kakashi-sensei, this is boring. When will we have missions again?" He laughed lightly, "It always was hard to please you when it came to fighting. We should have one tomorrow." I stared at Naruto as he struggled to stand. My blood lust has gotten worst since Neko-oni left my body. That's probably because I can't go on new moon slaughters anymore.
My eyes narrowed into a glare at him. I felt the urge to continue fighting, but resisted it by starting to walk away. There were so many things I felt compelled to do, but on the other hand I didn't feel like I had the strength in which to do them.
I sat down in a local tea shop, and he sat down beside me. I ordered some green tea, while he ordered nothing. "You wanted to kill him." The waitress put the cup of warm liquid in front of me. "But I didn't." He snorted. "Why did he rape you?"
I swallowed hard, "That's a bitter question Sasuke. If you want to bring that up I suggest you do when we are alone." I closed my eyes, pretending that the question hadn't affected me in any way. "Then let's go somewhere private." I opened my eyes slowly, "I paid good money for this tea, so I am going to drink it whether you like it or not."
He scoffed as I casually sipped my tea. "Plus, you shouldn't pry like that, you might instigate something." I could feel him smirking, "Like you instigated that fight with Sakura this morning?" I glanced at him through the corner of my eye, "That was in good nature. This matter is completely different."
"Not completely-"
"Just change the subject."
I closed my eyes again before taking another sip. "Fine, why did you kiss me?" I sat down the nearly empty cup. (It was really small, so it didn't hold that much tea) "You wanted me to, didn't you?" His blush returned, "Well, I-" I shook my head. "I kissed you because it's something I've been meaning to do for two years now."
I swirled the liquid around in the cup. "Doushite?" I quickly swallowed the rest. "I realized something while you were fighting Itachi in the hotel. When he used his Tsukuyomi on you, it broke my heart. Your screams were the most painful thing I've ever had to listen to. It was a realization of how strong my feelings for you really were." He stood up, "Let's talk about this somewhere more private." I followed his gaze to see several other people in the tea shop before nodding.
"I've liked you since the beginning." I stared at him, unsure of what to say. "You're strong, unbelievably smart, and you're not annoying like my fan girls." I frowned, being very unhappy with the statement,
"Then why....?" We were on the roof of the academy, like the first day we formally met Kakashi. "Why, what?" I looked down at the village below, "Why didn't you come for me?" He blinked, unsure of himself, "I went to Orochimaru so I could-"
"Do you have any idea how long I waited for you? For anyone?"
My bangs covered my eyes, so he couldn't see my exact expression. "Demo-"
"Did you even think about what would happen to me?"
"Of course!"
"Then why didn't you ever come, ever try!? It took you two years just to come back to Konoha while I was stuck there in that horrible place alone! Did you even wonder how I felt?!"
My fists clenched, anger welled up in my throat and my heart raced faster. "Did you ever wonder what your brother might have been doing to me?"
"I did, I know-"
My nails were digging into my palms, "Do you know what it feels like to be isolated in one room for two whole years? To be afraid to sleep? To have your heart race at the sound of a door opening? Humor me Sasuke, how many times did they come for you? How many times did they try to bring their precious Sasuke back?"
"Three-"
"You want to know how many times they even went to look for me? How many times I crossed their minds?"
My kekkai genkai was automatically triggered, "None. Not even once. You didn't even want to go back to Konoha. But all I ever dreamed about was for someone to come for me. But no. No one would dare come for someone like me."
"Tsukiko," I cut him off, "You want to know what Itachi did to me? Fine. He tortured me, raped me, impregnated me, then sliced open my stomach to kill any chance of me being able to have a baby." He gasped,
"And this went on for two years, until in the end I finally realized that no one would come for me. No one would ever care to wonder what happened to Tsukiko? Who would care if I was dead or alive? No one. And because of that I found just how much I began to adore Itachi for showing me something I should have seen a long time ago. No matter what I do, this village will never accept me. It doesn't matter how many times I risk my life for someone, I will always be blamed for the damage. And I realized how much I hate this village. How much I hate everyone in it. And most importantly, how much I hate you, Sasuke Uchiha."
I disappeared from the rooftop and into my own compound. Kakashi was there, waiting to take over his shift. I was angry, and wanted to blow off steam. How dare he even think about loving me, when all he did was run to Orochimaru? I was being selfish, but I don't give a damn! I deserve to be after everything that's happened!
Kakashi stared at me as I paced back and forth, debating on whether if it was selfish to be mad or not. "Tsukiko, I suggest you calm down." I glared at him intensively. "Hand me my weapons pouch."
He was reluctant at first, but eventually handed it over. I took two of the sleeping pills, instead of one. Takai barked at me, knowing how long I would sleep because of it. I fell back onto the bed, my eyes closing. All I wanted to do was sleep all my troubles away...
"Tsukiko, we have a mission to get to." My eyes opened groggily. Sixteen hours had passed in restless slumber. Kakashi stood patiently, "Every one is downstairs ready to go. Pack for two days." I nodded and he walked out. After packing and showering I went downstairs, carefully avoiding everyone's looks. Takai was at my heels, trotting happily along.
"There is a gang of thieves near the edge of fire country. Our mission is to kill them off, before they cause any trouble." I stuck my hands in my pockets, not particularly caring, "What rank is it?"
"B." I sighed, figuring that this would be another waste of time. I wonder why Sai and Naruto haven't watched over me yet. Unless they did while I was sleeping last night. I glanced back at Sai. He was a strange, vulgar one. I also found out that he didn't have a last name; also strange. Though I had met a few people with such cases, I never thought that someone of his skill would be...like him.
He tried to connect will people, I noticed, but it never seemed to work. I remembered Naruto telling me that he had read a book about relationships, and that's why he acted so abnormal. He seemed emotionless, and I had a feeling that he'd had a run in with Orochimaru once or twice.
It, however, didn't bother me. As I no longer cared for Konoha's safety. If he was a spy, then I would let him be. Why should I care that he is a "traitor" of the village? After all, I am too. I grunted in aggravation. This topic was cumbersome. Who was I to care of Sai's business?
I activated my kekkai genkai, sensing something near. We weren't that far from Konoha. It should have been another hour before we got to the gang's location.
Fifty men stood ready for us. All with weapons that resembled those of Gatoh's thugs. Six against fifty? Of course we'd win. None of these guys had any ninja training. However, at the same time we seemed to get a spider bite. I looked down at my arm, a small arachnid had bit my skin. It wasn't hard to tell that it had injected a poison, as nearly instantly my vision began to ware away. I looked at the others, also having the same thing happen. Sakura fell to the ground, being the weakest out of all of us. Our deaths were evident now, but there was no way to prevent it.
I blinked before deactivating my kekkai genkai. Spiders? I quickly looked around our surroundings, spotting a spider web. I glared at it, seeing six spiders. The web was made out of chakra strings, rather than silk. Kakashi would have said if these thieves had any ninja ability. But, apparently that wasn't in their description. This technique is native to the Aburame Clan though. How could it have migrated outside the village?
I threw a kunai at the web, making the spiders scatter, before nodding to Takai, signaling him to make sure it was taken care of. Kakashi gave me a quick glance, knowing that I had a reason for doing it. "What was that for?" True, my former team was used to me doing things too profound for them to understand, but Sai was not.
I stared at him condescendingly, "To kill our enemy's wildcard." He seemed confused, "They were going to use the spiders to poison us."
"How did you know?" I stared ahead, "I saw it happen." Kakashi just shook his head at the confused chuunin, signaling him that he'd explain later. It was a mild annoyance, but nothing like Naruto used to be. The thought made my eye twitch.
Kakashi stopped, making me look ahead. Just like in my vision, fifty men stood with various weapons. I took a step in front of Kakashi. "I'll take care of this. There is a jutsu I have been working on, it should take care of all of them." He nodded as I began my hand seals.
"So you're the ninjas sent to destroy us? And this girl is going to do it single-handedly?" The leader smirked, obviously pleased. "Beady Mimicry: Chakra Stronghold. Evil Chakra release." Both my demonic chakra and cursed seal chakra were released as I began another string of hand seals. "Barrier Override; Ashi Chakra Cage Jutsu." (Barrier Override; Evil Chakra Cage Jutsu)
A cage of my purple chakra formed around the mass of men, it was indestructible. They wouldn't be able to get out, and only I can get in. I jumped inside, in the middle of the gaping crowd. I put both hands in front of me, and with one hand began doing one-handed hand seals, and with the other a separate string of hand seals, simultaneously.
"Time Lapse no Jutsu." This was one of those highly advanced genjutsus I mentioned earlier. It had the power to completely stop time- only problem is: it uses up all of my demonic chakra. Anyways, I now stood in the midst of the world. Everything frozen in their last stance. And I began my slaughter.
It didn't take long to kill them all, seeing as I used a few jutsus along the way (claws of death, sword of the neko, etc.). I held my stomach in pain as the chakra cage jutsu was dispelled, as well as my time lapse jutsu. To the others, it looked like I had killed all of the men in a matter of a second.
I ended up throwing up. It was another cursed side effect of using up so much chakra. Sort of punishment, in the case that I was being careless. Which this time, I wasn't. "ARE?!" (Jap. Translation: slang What the fuck?) My eyes were closed in pain, but it suddenly passed. I stood up straight, my stomach muscles tensing.
Only about a sixth of my human chakra was left. "Well our job is done, shall we go back now?" They looked astonished, one second I was throwing up, the next I was acting like nothing happened. I wiped the blood from my face and hands. "Doshita?" (slang: What/What's wrong) They said nothing as I approached them. The pangs in my stomach slowly stopped.
"How did you do that?" I gave her a bored look, "It wasn't that hard. I just used one of those advanced genjutsus I was telling you about." Takai rejoined us, he was calm at the sight, clearly used to it.
Sasuke stared at him, wondering why a nindog such as he could be so eased at my display of power, as it was thought that I hadn't used such techniques in my flee to Konoha. I walked past them, and began on my way back to the village. "You shouldn't gape like that, someone might get offended."
Naruto looked up at the sky, "Is it just me or is the sun moving faster?" My skin twitched at his noticing, "We lost three hours." I smirked, but none could see it. I was in front of them now. "Hai, Naruto-kun, you figured out my genjutsu."
I had wondered how long it would take for someone to notice, "A freezing jutsu" I snorted, "Hardly. I stopped time itself, however it is virtually impossible to make the sun stop as well. The throwing up was just from using so much chakra, since my body isn't used to it."
Takai nodded in agreement. "Pesky curse, Tsuki-chan, pesky curse!" I stared at him, his speech only became that way in the presence of certain-"What curse?" My eyes sparkled as I stared at my nindog. He just nodded knowingly as I held back the want to scream.
It felt like I hadn't seen Itachi in years, and just the thought of being near him made my heart flutter. "Tsukiko-chan?" I looked back at them, "Nani?" Sasuke's eyes were narrowed, "What curse?" I shrugged, "Just a little something I picked up, nothing that would be of your concern Sasuke-kun" I was still frustrated with him, and he knew it. I wanted to ask Takai more about the older Uchiha's whereabouts but that was clearly out of the question.

But does she really hate him?
this is my favorite chapter ever.
