I was walking along the roads of Tsarina. I walked past the sushi shop, owned by Asuka. I ran past the Japan Fashion Shop. That’s right; I was heading towards my brother, head samurai. I was his Messenger. Slowly I walked over to his wondrous home, returning from my latest   message.
As I walked into the castle, My brother, full of knowledge, I addressed him properly.
“Oh, I have returned from your message to the king in Hotaru, our brother city.”
He paused.
“Kurushi, I have never been served by such a fine messenger like you for years. I have been keeping this since I was born.”
He handed me a necklace, of gold, with a rainbow stone implanted in it. I put it on. He smiled, and told me,
“This necklace has magic of Fairies, every single fairy ever in the land. When they came to Tsuri, they all worked day and night to make this very necklace. As soon as they found this jewel, they had put half of their magic in it. I am not allowed to tell you about this, because it is a secret between me and the fairies. But some things must be done.”
I stared at him, and asked him why it must be done. He didn't reply but handed me my next message.  It was for...Mom!? My mom was a fairy queen, and I couldn’t see her very often. I took it anyway and walked out of the castle. Me, being a fairy, jumped up and flew to Fairyland. It didn’t take very long because Fairyland is very close to Tsurina. But on the way to Fairyland, I found an island. It began to rain, so I flew down to the island and walked across its sandy floors. I wandered, scared, as I approached a small, wooden house. I grinned and ran inside.
Inside was a girl. She was reading a book on a bench by the lit fireplace. I tip-toed across the wood floor, making sure she didn’t notice me in her house. I stopped and sighed. The only way for me to be able to stay here was to ask. I couldn’t just barge in and force her to let me stay. So I tip-toed out of the house and knocked.
“Come in,” she said. I did, and she asked, “Do I know you?”
I told her no, and she asked me if I needed anything. I told her I needed a place to stay, and she told me she would need an explanation first. I sighed and  told her I was a messenger on my message, but it was raining so I needed a place to stay. She shrugged and let me stay like I asked.
She handed me a bowl of rice.
“Can I see the message you need to send?” she asked me.
I shrugged. Why not? Even though I wasn’t allowed to read them myself didn’t mean she couldn’t. I handed her the letter to mom.
"Oh yeah, I forgot. My name is Satomi," she told me.
I smiled at her for a moment.   I slowly walked away to make another rice bowl.
I walked to her with one for each of us. She thanked me and showed me my room. I thanked her back and walked to it. I sat on my bed (it was a bunk bed!!), and tried to eavesdrop. Satomi sighed and said,
“Mom, I can’t tell her yet!! The message…It was to you! I think that fairy was my sister, like you said earlier!”
I gasped softly. Me, her sister? Nu-uh. No way. Impractical! The rain stopped, but it was night, so I slept in her house.
