"Heather come on! You are going to be late!" I heard a door slam. I put my pillow over my head. Five more minutes. I dared to raise the pillow off my head and glance at the clock. Bell rings in twenty minutes. Thats plenty of time.
I laid back down smiling to myself because of the warmth of the blankets and pillows. It was paradise.
"Heather, mom said to get up." Someone said from across the room. Oh, did I say paradise? I meant hell. With a capital H.
"But moms not here is she, Ella?" I snapped back at my identical twin sister. She went silent and I laid back on my bed. She kept skuttling around the room. A few minutes later she said "im gone" and closed the door more loudly than needed.
I groaned to myself. Of course little miss perfect will 'be gone', she has a car, and what do I have? My feet and a pair of shoes. Well, that is unless Micahel comes and picks me up in his BMW.
Honk As if on cue the elegant, yet severe horn on the bmw went off. Micahel's signal for me to get my booty downstairs.
I had one leg off the bed, eyes still closed, pants still off when I heard it. The sound of my best friend coming in the door screaming at me.
"Would you hurry up chica?! I ain't got all day now. Dang." Slam Yup, thats my southern bitch. She's my best friend with an attitude.
Dressing quickly, not even bothering with make-up because I knew Falicia would just fuss about it and end up doing it in the car anyways.
I ran down the stairs stopping only at the dining room table to grab my lunch money and bag.
"Well, look who decided to catch the Michael Express today?" Falicia said smirking at me as I got in the passenger seat.
"Oh hush." I replied rolling my eyes.
We drove in silence, Falicia was being quite, for once, because she was painting up her face as she calls it. Normal people, well we called it doing make-up. Michael wasn't one to make conversation, though. He would rather have silence, than petty conversation. That's what I liked about him, nice and shy. Rich too but he doesn't boast about it.
"You're not wearing that eyeshadow are you?" Falicia asked pulling her eyebrows up and together.
"I'm not wearing eyeshadow."
"My point exactly. Come here."
"Guys," Micahel said pulling his bmw into the parking spot at our high school perfectly, "We're here."
"Ya'll are no fun." Falicia pouted. I smiled, she was too cute sometimes.
Falicia and I parted ways as we set off to homeroom. Micahel was walking beside me,carrying to many books to be going to first period and smiling to himself.
"You're such a nerd." I smiled as he looked at me an entertained smile on his face.
"You've told me many times before Heather." His top book, history, toppled to the side. I grabbed it and held it.
"Just making sure you know." I kept my eyes on the door down the hall dreading walking into the room, but I felt Michaels eyes still on me. "What?"
"Nothing. I'm just thinking." He smiled to himself again. It's like he has a secret. A secret I don't know about.
"You have a secret don't you?" He kept smiling. Alrighty, I'd get it out of him the hard way. "Tell me!"
"No can do." He replied, grabbing the book out of my hands and going into his homeroom. Note to self: Kick Michaels ass I entered the door right next to the one he had just entered.
"Nice of you to join us Miss. Winters." Mrs. Owens said sarcastically. I wasn't even late today.
"Nice to be here." I scowled and replied sarcastically. I turned away from her desk and made my way to the back where Damien was sitting looking at the girl in front of his desk's G-string.
"Nice view, eh?" He said smirking.
"Yea, yea whatever."
"Where were you Friday? Party was killin'."
"Places." I replied. He had been calling me off the hook all weekend trying to see what my deal was.
"And these places would be?" He leaned over his desk and put his ear towards me. "I can keep a secret."
"It's not a secret, I just like to keep you waiting."
"Well, waiting." He said impatiently.
"Alex and I crashed another party." I said twirling my black hair in my fingers. Damien was quite. I looked up and his mouth was hanging open.
"I wasn't invited?" He asked. He was, honestly, shocked.
"What can I say, you're popularity isn't what it used to be." I smiled. I loved getting the one up on him.
"Whatever, Me and Alex are going to do some major talking about this." I laughed and nodded. The bell rang and we left, slowly, but surely.
The four hour periods before lunch went as usual. My day was boring, as Mondays usually are, until lunch.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" I asked Alex sitting down with my bottle of water and baked, salt free chips.
"We, my love, have a new kid." Alex said nudging the new boy in the side. He smiled shyly, and uttered an almost uncomprehendable hello.
"Micahel, move over there is a new shy kid on the block." Falicia said laughing.
"Alright," Damien said sitting down, a few girls waving at him, "what the fuck is up with you two crashing a party without me?"
"Shut up, we have more important stuff to talk about." Alex interrupted putting his hand over Damien's mouth. "This is Jacob, and you know what?"
"Oooh, what?" Falica asked in a sarcastic southern drawl.
"He plays guitar." Damien's face lit up. This was just what he was looking for, a new guitarist for the band.
"Are you for cereal?" He asked, face glowing, and eyes sparkling.
"Yes, I'm for cereal." Alex said. They began talking about unimportant things like the band while I gazed at the new kid. He was focusing on the conversation, but he seemed to be in deep thought. I recognized him, he was in my first three classes. I didn't know his name as me and Damien were talking all through class. Damien was in all my classes, but my favorite class was seventh perios art. All my friends were in there. It was amazing.
"That's Heather, she's a hoe. Easy lay." Damien said pointing to me, as he talked to Jacob.
"Jack off." I said, still thinking.
"Shhhsh ya'll, she's thankin'." Falicia said grinning widely.
"Yea, shsh." I said. I glanced over at Ella's table. She was staring straight at Jacob. I laughed to myself, as if Ella.. As if.
"So band practice tomorrow? We'll see how you do." Damien said, getting up to take his trash away.
"Ok."
The rest of the day passed slowly. Damien and Alex ditched, but I stayed. I was being a "good girl" today. Ok more along the lines of, I didn't want to get busted again.
"Here's your stop. Thanks for traveling the Micahel Express." Michael chuckled as I got out of the car. "Call me." I nodded and he drove off reving the engine of that sexy car.
I ran up the stairs, and shut the door. Diary time. Today was good. Sort of. I wasn't late for school. I'm getting better I think. Ella, well she's still a bitch, though I didn't talk to her today. Just the way she looks at me sometimes. It's disgusting, yet it hurts. But we'll never tell anyone. There is a new boy at our school. His name is Jacob. I think he's is nice looking. He has amazing blue eyes and brown hair. Alex asked him to come try and see if he fit in with the band. I'm not going to miss this rehersal. I think I deserve a break, so I'm going to go nap. Peace out.
