PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ANIME READ THE MEMO!! YOU WONT GET A LOT OF STUFF IN THE CHAPTER IF YOU DON'T! K? Thanxs. Writing style thingeh ish regular 'you did whatever' If ya couldn't figure that out it would be really, really sad.
You sat on a low outcropping of rock exactly one quarter of a mile from Gingakure's southern entrance. for some reason you were afraid to use the west entrance, though it had been you favorite. You knew it was irrational but you could not help but to think that if you took the west entrance then you would see red eyes staring at you from the tree tops. You shook yourself vigorously then winced. Your wounds had yet to heal. It had been six weeks since you had escaped your personal hell and though your wounds had closed, there was till some damage under the skin that just didn't seem to heal no matter what you did. The freezing rain did not help your aching limbs either. The fact was that you had only come to this mountain village for healing. It was not that you didn't want to see Kearin or Aspen, because you did! Desperately in fact. You wanted little more then to curl up in Aspens arms and sleep for a year but you didn't want to talk about you absence and you knew that was impossible if your wanted you back healed. You adjusted the collar or your light jacket so that at least part of your face would not be stung by the icy rain.
Then you hoped off the rock you had perched on and ran towards the village. "Lady Chikage-sama! Lady Chikage-sama!" Very suddenly a chunin Kearin did not recognize, burst into her office. Kearin squinted at the man. "You are interrupting my card game little man." She said to the ninja. "Ke.. Kearin.. leave the p.. poor bastard alone..." Said Raj who was slumped in a corner Aspen sighed. "I knew I shouldn't of let him switch to hard liquor." Illaria patted Raj's hand "Why not? He can be fun when he is drunk." Raj winked at Illaria suggestively. "What is the matter." Aspen asked the ninja kindly. "She's back!" The ninja yelled Aspen narrowed his eyes. "Who is back?" Illaria asked. Kearin grinned. "Full house!! Two queens, two kings and a joker! HAH! I win!" "It's Black Wolf!" the ninja screamed at the top of his lungs. The bottle of vodka in Raj's hand smashed as his grip suddenly tightened with shock. Aspens jaw dropped and the cards he had been holding dropped to the table. Kearin stood up and walked out of the room.
Okay, I am gonna try the 'I' Person..., witting style... thing... yeeeeaah. Remember 'I' Is Kat or you whichever one you prefer.
I decided that sneaking into the village was a bad idea. It was likely that Kearin and the other villagers assumed I was dead or I had 'pulled a Sasuke'. Therefor I simply walked in the shadows of the low dividing walls and houses as I made my way to where I believed Illaria's apartment was. It was difficult to admit at the time but but I was glad to be back. As I walked I noticed that many of the houses were a lighter shade of brownish grey which suggested that a lot of the city had been rebuilt. "Kearin was always vain." I said to myself. "But really those buildings were perfectly fine the way they were." Just as I finished speaking I heard a load sardonic laugh. I instinctively sent out a pulse to sense out the laughing woman. It was Kearin, and Illaria, Raj and Aspen were gathered behind her. "Oh that is rich!" Kearin said. Her tone sent shivers running down my spine. "Oh yes that is a very amusing comment coming from you." It was obvious from Kearins' tone that she was not amused. I turned to face Kearin. She was standing several feet in front of me in the middle of that particular levels main square, whereas I was standing next to the dividing wall. "Yo... Nee-sama" I said shakily. Kearins' jet black eyebrows shot together. "You little bitch." She growled. "How dare you show your face in this village!"
Now I am gonna try third person okay? Oh and the Point Of View will be... Aspen.
They had caught up to Kat on the eight level of Gingakures' main city. She was limping across level eights main square, keeping close to dividing wall. Aspens breath caught in his throat when he saw his only pupil, his only little sister. Her clothes were torn and smelled of blood and death, Kat was walking with a profound limp and from the trail of blood she was leaving in the wet streets Aspen could see that she was incapable of walking in a straight line. Despite everything Kat had done, Aspen could not help but want to run to her and shield her from the stinging, freezing rain and treat her injuries.
Kearin started laughing. "Oh that is a very amusing comment coming from you." She said. "Yo... Nee-sama." Kat said. Her voice cracked on each syllable. Kearin actually began to growl. "You little bitch how dare you show you face in this village!" Kearin screamed. Slight confusing and and a deep sense of loss was emanating from Kat. Kats' Eyes widened a little. "Nee-sama" Kat started to say "Dont ever call me that!!" Kearin interupted. Kats face darkened. "Kearin then. Are you not happy to see that I am alive?" Illaria gasped. Rajs' jaw dropped. What is this girl playing at?' Aspen wondered. "Don't you dare even speak to me little bitch. I should have killed you six months ago." "Kearin." Aspen said quietly. "Please keep yourself calm." "Shut up!" Kearin yelled. Aspen sighed. "Before you try to kill her Kearin. Perhaps we should ask her-" Kearin interrupted Aspen suggestion. "No. Absolutely not, I don't care why she did it." Kearin charged Kat. The younger girl managed to dodge Kearins blind charge but ended up flat on her ass only a few feet away from the raging woman.
Aspen could tell that Kat was surprised and hurt by what Kearin had just done. But why would she feel that way. Aspens instincts told him that something was very wrong here. Right now we are switching back to the 'you' thing. we will be switching around frequently so that you get a good taste of the styles I wanna use so that way you can message me about witch style you want me to use. oh and it is kats POV obviously. You jumped away from Kearin but slipped on the wet cobble stones under your feet and fell flat on you ass. You tried to stand but your left leg would not move and was throbbing painfully.
Kearin checked her charge and turned to you. The rage that was rolling off Kearin was scalding. You flinched. Kearin reached down and grabbed your arm and pulled you to your feet. "Wait a moment Kearin. What are you doing?" You asked desperately. "Shut up!" Kearin screamed. You felt Aspen flinch and Illaria's heart skip a beat. Kearin spun you around and twisted your arm behind your back with enough force that you felt the bone break. You screamed. "Nee-sama! What the hell are you doing! Why are you doing this?" You felt bile rise in your throat as pain from your broken arm shot up your shoulder and neck. "Shut up bitch!" Kearin yelled. "Did you honestly think I would forgive you for almost destroying this village!?
Third person, Aspen, Raj and Illarias' POV
Kat arched her back trying to push Kearin away but Aspen Knew that Kearin wouldn't let go even if she was killed. Not now. Kat was shocked to hear Kearins accusation. Genuinely shocked. That made no sense at all. Six months ago Aspen saw with his own eyes that Kat and about sixty ninja attacked the village and destroyed many buildings and lives. He saw her kill the genin that Kearin had, though only for one month, charged her to look after. Aspen could feel that the murderer had been Kat but then why was she so surprised and hurt now. Kearin raised one leg and kicked Kat somewhere on her lower back. Aspen heard Illaria gasp. Kearin kicked again. This time Aspen heard a distinct sound that had to be Kats' arm being forced out of it's socket. Kearin stopped kicking and then hurled Kat into the dividing wall. Kearin stepped back. Kat was coughing and groaning. "What- Do you mean "I attacked the village?'" She asked. "Don't play dumb with me! Everyone in this village knows that six months ago you tried to destroy us!" Aspen started to shake. he smelled burnt flesh. Had Kearin been burning Kats' arm as well as breaking it? Kat stood up slowly and faced Kearin.
"I never attacked this village Nee-sama. Never. It has been my home for better or worse for well... my whole life." Kearin Stepped forward and punched Kat square in the face. "I told you not to play dumb!" Kearin yelled. "You can not deny attacking this village just like you can't deny nearly destroying Konoha and Suna!" Kats' eyes almost bugged out of her head. "I never did anything like that. It is impossible! There is no way I could have been able to do that!" Kearin did not bother to tell Kat to shut up again. Kearin stalked up to Kat and grabbed the collars of her jacket and shirt and rammed her knee into kats' stomach. Kat screamed. "Nee-sama stop, dammit!" Kat said between strikes. Blood began to leak out of her mouth. Illaria was sobbing and even Raj had to avert his eyes because of the ferocity of Kearins' attack. Kat was so shocked and in so much pain. Aspens' Ability told him that Kat at least thought she was telling the truth. "Nee-sama stop it! Please..." Kat begged. Kearin threw her into the wall again. "What!? You aren't going to fight back?" Kearin asked. Kat shuddered. No. Aspen thought. This is not right. "Kearin!" Aspen yelled just as Kearin was about to punch Kat in the face again. "Kearin stop!" Kearin did not look at him. "What do you want Aspen. Don't tell me you still care for this piece of shit!."
Aspen looked at Kats' bloody face. "Kearin let her go. She is telling the truth about not attacking the villages." Kearin whipped around. "What are you talking about! Have you gone insane?" Kearin was really enraged. "Kearin listen to me." Aspen walked up to her and grabbed her arm, keeping her from punching Kat a fifth time. "I don't know what is going on but she dose not believe that she attacked anyone. Persecuting someone who doesn't know that they have done anything wrong just doesn't make sense!" Kearin blinked. "Are you telling me she doesn't remember attacking this village?" Aspen nodded. "Yeah that is exactly what I am saying." Kearin let go of Kats' collar. "I don't get it..." Kearin muttered. "Nii-san..." Kat said weakly. "Quiet!" Aspen shouted. "You are not off the hook yet little girl." Kat flinched. Kearin actually growled. "I can not take this!" She yelled and then stalked off. Aspen turned to Kat. "Leave this village now." Kat looked up at him. Her unbroken arm was wrapped around her stomach, blood was streaming down her face and the bone in her broken arm had been forced through the skin and was bleeding heavily. "Leave Kat. If you don't I swear I will finish what Kearin started." Kat rose to her feet and limped away. She had gone numb the moment Aspen had looked her in the eyes.
Yes... If you can't tell I am quite attached to the Kat/Aspen sweet sibling idea... oh and in most of the above chapter when I said Kat was 'hurt' i meant like emotionally. but you know the physically hurt bit is more obvious and does not need clarification... well it shouldn't anyway. I writing style. POV=Kat
I walked as smoothly as I could in order to avoid jarring my aching bones. A week had passed since Kearin greeted me in Gingakure and I had managed to walk many miles since then. But that, I suspect, is only because I was unable to stop moving. The last time I stopped to rest was six days ago when I tried to set my broken arm and bandage my ribs. I did not speak. I did not hunt. I did not cry. And I did not stop. My mind and body were on the verge of collapse. Yet even though I knew that my body desperately needed medical attention I could not bring myself to seek the help of humans. Humans could not be trusted. I had been burned by that species one to many times and I refused to crawl to them for help. What Kearin had said about me attacking the villages was complete nonsense! Did she not know that the Akatsuki had been keeping me in a cage for almost two years?
If she had been looking for me she would now that I am innocent! I thought. That bitch! That bitch accused me of betraying her and the other villages when I refused to give up information about them to the Akatsuki! I bled for them damn it! I stepped up onto a log to get a better look at my surroundings when I heard a loud crack. The log broke under my weight and I fell to the ground. I screamed. I felt as though someone had set fire to my whole body and I tasted blood. I lied on the ground for some time, waiting for the pain to dissipate enough for me to start moving again. But where- I wondered. Am I going? At the time it didn't matter where I was going only that I needed to get off of the cold, wet ground. I slowly pushed my self up with my good arm and then stood. My skin scrapped over one of my broken ribs and I felt blood trickle down my side. At that moment I realized what a miracle it was that I was even alive, let alone upright and mobile. The wind had shifted while I was on the ground. It now blew from the south.
I turned to face it head on and took a deep breath. Food! Albeit human food but I wasn't to injured to steal from those bastards. I hobbled off eagerly. The food I had smelled was being cooked in a small village about a mile from where I had fallen. It seemed that a celebration was going on in the the heart of the village so I was able to blend in and steal a good meal of kabobs and ramen samples before my stomach started to complain. There were a lot of people packed into the one village so I decided it was the perfect time to do a little reconnaissance. I did not know if Kearin was lying or telling the truth about believing i had attacked three major ninja villages but It was a serious thing and surely someone here would know something about it. Asking random people about what powerful ninja village has been attacked lately however, was a stupid idea. I decided to simply talk to people and mention that I was thinking of visiting Konoha and see which gossiping busybody tells me whats what. It took a while to get any bites and by the time someone did mention konoha my wounds were screaming. "Konoha huh?" I said to a man who generously shared his sake with me. "Ya know I was thinking of visiting, for medical treatment ya know? Their kage is famous for her medical ninjutsu." 'There' I thought. 'Innocent enough, now what is his reply?' "Konoha!" The man exclaimed. "Don't bother! They closed their gates to travelers months ago!" I blinked and feigned surprise. "Why did they do that?" I asked. "Well..." The man leaned closer to me. "Now don't tell anyone this, I am sure those Konoha shinobi don't want people to know but... Six months ago sum bat-shit crazy woman decimated the hidden leaf with only herself and maybe sixty other ninja." My eyes widened. "Your serious?" I asked. This just could not be. "Yeah, She attacked Suna and this village called hidden silver as well." The mans' voice became even more quiet and serious. "They say that the woman who did this was actually a Bijuu in human form! Anyway even with those obvious injuries I doubt they will let you in." His words shocked me to my very core. This just could NOT be happening! Never since I gained my Empathic powers did I EVER consider attacking a friendly ninja village. I thanked the man for his information and left the village. I walked two miles from the helpful little town in a completely numb state. My mind had just totally blanked. I sat down on a rock, not very comfortable but I knew that the rock at least, would hold my weight. How had this happened? Who could possibly think that I am capable of attacking three ninja villages? There was no way in HELL that my friends could have believed that! At the very least Aspen would have been able to notice a fake me... I shivered. It was dark and I was in pain I needed to stop worrying about the false accusations against me and go to sleep. On missions I would prefer to find a strong tree to sleep in but climbing a tree was beyond my abilities so I simply curled up at the base of the rock I had sat on.
I didn't even have the energy to cry. When I awoke I ate the cold dumplings i had saved from yesterdays little festival. I knew I should be thinking of a way to get more food and get treatment for my wounds but I could not help but wonder what the point would be. Why bother? Well I quickly shook off all thoughts of just siting against my rock until I starved or died from my wounds. I had contemplated suicide when I was younger and just gaining my Empath powers but I did not- could not end my own life and swore I would never try again. By the time the morning dew had been burned off the grass around me I had formed a plan. I needed to get my wounds treated and I needed to figure out who had framed me. I did not wish to visit Konoha, It had been a long time since I had been a Genin in squad seven but there was one person I still felt close to. Yeah you saw this coming. I was going to go beg Gaara for help. I was not to far from the desert where suna was hidden I was sure I could find it but i needed a way to cary watter. Not a problem I was wearing a jacket which I doubted i would need in the desert. It has a water proof lining so I cut it up with a knife I stole before I went to hidden silver. I decided to collect water on my way to suna rather then search for it now.
About a week later i was limping through the sand and was quite throughly pissed at myself.
I had no more water, I underestimated how much liquid my injured body would need. It was also hot. really really really, head achingly hot. I had sand in every crevice of my body and eyes, my wounds forced me to stop every hundred feet or so and i was now spitting blood. Bright side to my situation? I could see suna. I really didn't want to go though. Not after the welcome I got from Kearin.
If Kearin had tried to kill me I shuddered at the thought of how pissed off Gaara would be. But I dunno maybe just because of my wounds or the heat stroke ,i just wanted to be comforted and if Aspen and Kearin wouldn't help me- - well gaara was the only person I could think of who might. Well I can certainly tell you that i felt like a hypocrite right about then. All this complaining about Not trusting humans and now i wanna be comforted by one? Yeah I felt like and idiot but can you see another decent alternative? No I thought not. Anyway I had been traveling mostly at night while i was in the desert. Just because it was colder and if i walked at night i could keep my body temperature stable but i could not find a place to take shelter today and I was so close to suna that I could smell the humanity inside. I cringed at that smell and yet... i had some hope. If I could only convince Gaara that i was not the one who attacked the villages then surely he would help me. "Stop right there!"
Someone yelled. I stopped and tried to stand up straight. I would have reached for my knife with my good arm but it was keeping my bad arm from flapping in the wind. From behind a nearby rock that i had figured to be to small to hide a person stepped a youngish looking girl with brown hair a Suna headband. "Okay, So I have stopped." I said quietly. I could sense two other ninja. but they were lacking the sort of confidence and experienced ninja would have. these kids were barely genin. Are they on patrol or sentry duty? I asked myself. why would kids these young get stuck with sentry duty? perhaps the more experienced ninja were all busy the village must be still recovering from the attack. The girl took one step forward and held up a kunai. She was trying to appear more menacing then she actually was, it was almost cute. "State your bussines here." she said sternly. I put on my most charming smile, which seemed to startle the girl. "I am here to ask, or maybe beg, help from your kazekage." I told her. What was the point in lying or hiding the truth?
The girl did not seem to know what to do with this information, she was probably expecting me to say something like 'I am here to eat you prepare to die!' but would I really say that.... don't answer that question actually uuuhh moving on. The girl had composed herself. "Now why would you need Gaara-samas' help?" she asked. Keeping up my charming smile was starting to make my cheeks hurt. I gently slid up the sleeve of my shirt to reveal my broken arm. It must have looked worse then i had realized because the kids face turned paper white. "My ribs look pretty much the same kid." I stopped smiling. "I had heard that your village had been attacked and i assume that you guys are not allowing visitors but... well i am kinda desperate and i do know Gaara. He is the only person i can think of who might help me. Would you be a dear and take me to him, i might not get a warm welcome if i just walk into your village." The girl frowned. "Let me see your ribs." She demanded. "If your wounds are as serious as you say then I would have no choice but to help you out." I cringed but lifted up my shirt as far as my wounded muscles would let me. The kids reaction was priceless. She actually screamed! Well it was more like a squeak but still. The girl made a small hand gesture and the two ninja i had sensed before appeared behind me. I knew they were there, their ages and general skill level just from touching their minds before but I looked behind me and checked them out just to keep up appearances.
"Whats your name kid?" I asked. The girl seemed startled. "Why do you want to know?" She asked suspiciously. "Well it seems rude to just call you kid." I replied. She relaxed a little and motioned for me to start walking. "My name is Matsuri." She told me. but she refrained from telling me the name of her two companions and they did not offer, they didn't even speak. I realized with a shock that if I told them my name then they might just try and kill me so i gently pushed their minds away from that little thought and made them think that they already knew it. So i just limped along in the company of little genin worrying about how I might be received at the village. "How did you get those wounds?" One of the male mini-nin behind me asked. "I got on the bad side of a drunken, village-less ninja." I replied sadly. This was lie I had gone over even before I had decided to go to Sunagakure. "How did you get on his bad side?" Matsuri asked. "It was a woman actually, I had only told her to quite drinkin'." "Thats all?" Matsuri asked. I replied "Well she was very dru-" I was suddenly knocked backward by what felt like a brick wall. I flew end over end for a few feet before one of the mini-nins pinned me to the ground. I must admit my wounds felt as though they had been beaten back open then had liquid metal poured into them. "Temari-sensei!" Matsuri yelled. "What are you doing? isn't it obvious that she is injured?" I looked up. And saw Temari standing on a tier built into the 'gate' of the village. "Long time no see." I said to her quietly. "Are you going to try and kill me too?" Temari did not speak. She seemed barely in control of her anger.
When she did manage to speak nothing encouraging came out of her mouth. "You- you little-" See what I mean, under no circumstances is stuttering or stumbling over words a good thing. "I don't understand whats going on!" Matsuri yelled at her sensei. "Tell me why you are attacking an injured wo-" "Shut up!" Temari yelled. The kid shut up. Very suddenly i was surrounded by a bunch of full sized ninja rather then my fun sized escort. And these all managed to look menacing and angry. Temari gave orders to one of them, I didn't quite catch what they were saying but the images int he minds of the people who had overheard told me that Temari had just sent for her little brother. "Moment of truth." I said to myself. Then a little louder I said. "Am I to assume that i am to stay where I am until whoever you sent for arrives." My voice was shaky I had wanted to sound confident but maybe it was good that I didn't. Temari did not reply but one of the other ninja pointed to me and said "Sit!" Loudly. I smiled. "Sorry friend but the only person capable of ordering me around isn't here yet." This of course was a stupid thing to say, confusing and angering your captors when you want their mercy and help is bed, very, very bad. Temari was about to tell me to shut up and sit down when you know who arrived. I was actually expecting a dramatic swirl of sand but nooo I a not worth that amount of effort. Gaara walked into my little circle of menacing ninja in a pair of black pants and a fishnet shirt. "And I suppose that the person who is supposed to be capable of ordering you around is who? Me?" Gaara asked.
Stuff!! and stuff... yay.
