Hey everyone! (Or the few people that are actually here >.< ) I know I haven't updated my Sasuke story yet, and I'm trying but it's hard. Technically it IS finished, but I suppose if you want to know Saiyame better then I should get moving on writing it from her POV. I will try to work on that, but in the meantime check this story out.
Now, this is an ORIGINAL RPG story from Fantasy Realm that I started with a friend of mine. What you see here is all that has been written so far, and it's written by 3 different people (Me, Jazz, and Shana). To check out the original format you can go to Fantasy Realm and if you want to make an account you can even join the storyline!
Sorry if this seems confusing, but it's difficult to explain an RPG storyline on quizilla o.O Before you read you should check out these character profiles or else you will be lost:
Shana Rider
If this gets too confusing let me know and I'll try to make it simpler. ONLY SAIYAME IS MY CHARACTER! Jazz and I have given each other permission to use each other's characters as long as we consult first.
Jazz:
A breeze caressed her cheek as it rustled the autumn leaves around her. High above the ground Chiyoko rested on a branch. The rough texture of bark pressed against her back as she leaned against the tree. One leg dangled down while the other stretched out across the branch.
Breathing deep she let the smell of damp earth and trees fill her lungs. It was going to rain soon. It was in the air.
The forest was full of noises and yet Chiyoko sat quietly just enjoying the silence of it all. Her body was relaxed and at ease.
Her mind flashed with a jolt to the body. Images of death, pain, and slaughter filled her mind. Chiyoko bit her lips hard enough to draw blood. Clenched fists rested in her lap, shaking slightly.
It wasn't normally this bad but she had been completely caught off guard by it. Where had it come from? A village wasn't too far away but she should have been able to sense anyone coming before any visions struck.
The vision was strong and engulfed her whole mind...
Shadowmancer:
These were people that Saiyame knew well. In fact, she had spent the better part of the last twenty years of her life protecting this place. As the time had passed, Saiyame marveled at how quickly the humans aged, when she herself looked the same as the day she had arrived in the somewhat secluded village. There were no demons there aside from Saiyame, and the citizens of the village were all too happy to embrace her for protecting them for so many years.
One day, however, the peace that had reined over the village so long was shattered like glass left too long in extreme cold. It was not that Saiyame wanted to hurt the people who she had protected so fervently, it is just that she had no other choice.
Saiyame saw the person's thoughts before she saw his face, and the rage and hate radiating off of him was unlike anything she had ever encountered before. The demoness didn't even have a chance to barricade her mind before she was consumed by the stranger's anger and bloodlust. Her eyes clouded over and she gave in to the man's emotions without a fight, not having suspected one in the first place.
When she awoke from her frenzied slaughter Saiyame was covered in blood and her home was in flames. Below her was the corpse of the man who had brought on her outburst, shredded to pieces by both her whip and her telekinetic powers.
Jazz:
Just as quickly as it had come the vision left, leaving Chiyoko gasping for air. She swung both her legs over the branch and slid to a lower limb, crouched like a cat. Just then an aura appeared through the trees from her left. It was the fox demon from her vision.
Chiyoko's lips drew into a thin line. How had she not sensed her before? Her mind puzzled over it. That wasn't the only thing that was strange. Saiyame's aura was a shining glow of light but close to the middle another light was shining as well. Chiyoko's frown deepened. Souls were not commonly visible to her. It was outside of the demon's body? But why? How?
Chiyoko shook her head. It didn't matter. The demon was a killer of innocence and that was all she needed to know. She didn't need this fox demon's history. Chiyoko lunged from the tree like a tiger at the girl. Three sharp needles already in hand stuck out between her fingers. She let them fly...straight at Saiyame's head.
Shadowmancer:
"'If only, if only," the fox demon sighed, "the nature of Man was not so easy to hide.'" Saiyame let the tune fall from her lips solemnly as she readied her whip and prepared for a fight.
The new aura had not been a threat until a moment ago, when she had somehow caught a glimpse of Saiyame's bloody past. Of course, as the unidentified person had been thinking of nothing but those sins committed by her, Saiyame had seen them too. It was extremely unsettling for Saiyame to see the faces of her friends who she had killed with a passion that was not her own. She flinched as she saw herself snap the neck of a man who had been like second father to her, and bit back a whine as the slaughter continued.
By the time the entire memory had been transferred to Chiyoko, Saiyame's breath was heavy and sweat beaded along her brow. It was only because of her sharp hearing that Saiyame even registered Chiyoko's movement from the branch towards her. A quick glance in Chiyoko's direction stopped the flight of the senbon, and Saiyame had her whip out and at her side before she could even stop to think about what she was doing.
Be careful, Lady Saiyame, Hikari advised. This girl is dangerous.
Yes, I agree. Perhaps I should begin with a different tactic.
Saiyame's hand twitched, itching to crack her whip and wrap it around the newcomer's neck. However, she held back that urge and instead focused on slamming the girl into the tree that she had leapt out from.
A loud crack told Saiyame that her attack had hit full force, and the stranger had crashed into the tree hard enough to damage the thick trunk.
Oh my, Kami-sama. Did you hear her neck snap back? I think you gave the girl whiplash without the whip, Saiyame-chan.
Hello, Anko-kun. Don't praise me yet, though. This fight is far from over if she insists on continuing her assault.
Credit to the Author of Holes for the original "If Only, If Only" song thingy. I tweaked it, but it's still her (his? I haven't read that book since I was 12) tune.
Jazz:
A cold smile crossed Chiyoko's lips as she fell to the ground. Like a limp doll her body moved toward the hard ground but before she hit Chiyoko regrouped and landed firmly on her hands. Her legs stood straight in the air for a second before she leaned back and let her feet fall behind her head; pulling the upper half of her body up so she was once again standing.
Something filled her and Chiyoko wasn't sure what it was. Excitement? Something about this demon told her that this was going to an interesting fight but in the end Chiyoko knew who would win. After all Chiyoko had never lost a fight and she had no intention of starting now.
Tilting her head to the side, Chiyoko stretched her sore neck. The soreness reminded her of her mortality and it left a bitter taste in her mouth.
"You are going to have to do better than that, Saiyame Ryuujin." Chiyoko told the
fox demon.
Chiyoko ran to the left in front of Saiyame and, stopping with a slide, she lifted both of her arms. Saiyame went flying into the air. Bringing both her arms down Chiyoko followed suit by flying into the air and stopping in front of her opponent. Lifting her leg with lightning speed she aimed a kick at Saiyame's head. Unfortunately the demon had created a force field so it didn't actually hit her but the force was enough so that Saiyame still went crashing toward the ground.
Chiyoko came down landing a good distance from the fox demon. And then the fight really began...
Shadowmancer:
Saiyame sailed through the air, caught off guard by the familiarity of Chiyoko's attack. As she was falling, Saiyame felt Chiyoko leap up for another attack, but this time Saiyame was ready. When Chiyoko kicked at her head, Saiyame used her telekinesis to create a small force between the girl's leg and her own body. As a result, Chiyoko kicked the barrier instead of landing another direct blow on Saiyame, and the force from her shield breaking sent the demoness crashing toward the ground.
Saiyame blinked when she landed, but otherwise wasted no time before standing back up.
Wow, it is a good thing you decided to change into some good old hakama pants, ne Saiyame-chan?
It's cold outside right now; I figure it was a logical choice considering the weather.
Yeah, but you don't get cold, can you imagine fighting like this in that kimono of yours? Oh the girl's looking at you again. You should really pay more attention to your opponents, it pisses them off when you ignore them like that.
Saiyame smiled and broke her connection with Ankoku for the time being. She didn't need him pestering her during a fight.
"Yoko-chan," Saiyame began, "I'm quite opposed to fighting humans, no matter how strong they are. Would you by any chance be willing to forget this quarrel and move on? It would be quite kind of you to do so."
Jazz:
Yoko-chan?
Chiyoko growled on the inside and clenched her teeth. "Opposed to fighting humans, huh? I see...so when you kill them in cold blood, you prefer them not to fight back? I cant allow that to continue...Saya-chan."
Gathering her energy in her hand Chiyoko ran at Saiyame.
Amber (Jazz) pinned all of the fight scenes on me >.<
Shadowmancer:
Saiyame took the time to quirk an eyebrow before blocking Chiyoko's energy blast with a ridiculously similar attack.
She uses the same techniques as me. Who'd have thought I'd be facing such an opponent?
Well I certainly didn't see it coming. Summon me! I bet even this little shrimp couldn't top that. And what the hell is her problem anyway? Is she an idiot?
I don't think that's the problem, Anko-kun. She saw a bit of my past and jumped to conclusions.
...So she is an idiot?
Ugh!
Saiyame pushed Ankoku away again so she could concentrate solely on the fight. If their attacks were similar then Saiyame could easily counter whatever Chiyoko threw at her, but the strength of the attacks could also be a problem.
Here's to hoping my telekinesis stands up to hers.
Chiyoko regrouped from her stupor in time to send another mental blast at Saiyame. This one was stronger, and Saiyame had to furrow her brows so that she could focus on keeping it away from her. The energy from the psychic attacks was incredible, and Saiyame could hear trees being uprooted, although the exact extent of the damage was not something she could fully understand without her sight.
The force of the powers continued to expand, uprooting more and more trees in the surrounding area and shredding the bark from their trunks like paper. Pebbles lifted higher and higher off the ground and spun with the momentum from Saiyame's and Chiyoko's energies, creating a sort of whirlwind of dirt and rock. Leaves and bits of splintered wood, along with a few broken branches and trunks were also pulled like magnets to the demon's and the human's power.
Chiyoko and Saiyame continued to push all of their energy at each other, and the resulting chaos was so great that anyone nearby would have to be incredibly dense to miss it.
I vote you break the connection, Ankoku said, forcing his way back into his master's mind. He spoke quietly so as not to distract her, and Saiyame's ears perked up so she could hear what all he had to say. If you break the connection first then you will have the advantage, Saiyame. It will catch her off guard and you will be prepared, therefore you will have a better chance of dodging all of the falling debris.
Alright, Saiyame agreed. She took a deep breath and broke the connection on her end, sending debris flying in every direction.
So much damage had been done to the landscape because of Chiyoko's and Saiyame's combined power. Now that it was only Chiyoko emitting the power, some of the larger debris began falling toward the ground, fast. Saiyame was prepared, so she dodged easily and waited for Chiyoko's reaction.
Jazz:
Chiyoko felt the auras of others nearby but she didn't give them any mind. They were not a threat at this point. However, she did shut her mind to their sins. It wasn't wise to take in visions while fighting.
When Saiyame broke apart suddenly she was caught a little off guard...but jumped back as well. It was easy to avoid the falling debris. They stood there far apart, ready for the other to attack.
Having sensed the power that the fox demon gave off, Chiyoko realized that they were both going to have to take this fight a lot more seriously then they were.
"Saya-chan, I think it's time to stop going easy on each other. Wouldn't you agree?" Chiyoko was eager to see to fight. It had been such a long time since she had fought anyone who was on even terms with her.
Chiyoko reached for her favorite weapon, pulling a chain off that was wrapped around her body showed it to be whip. Chain locks rolled down it, at the ends appeared a long dagger. It came off with a snap and she stood before Saiyame with an evil smile. For any who were watching this it would be chilling.
Sliding the whip across the ground Chiyoko took her preferred stance and then swung her whip at Saiyame.
Rest in results, I promise!
Shana:
One of the best parts of her frequent travels, Shana thought, was the endless amount of time she had to train.
The oversized wolf Ragnarok stood before her, his white fur standing on end and his chest rumbling with a vicious snarl. He had completely peeled back his chops, every sharp fang showing. The image was slightly skewed, what with his great tail swinging back and forth with excitement, but he stood his ground against Shana strongly, his paws almost clinging to the earth as though it were life.
Off to the side with his eyes showing amusement was Asmodaeos. He was leaning on an arch-shaped mirror that was nearly a foot taller than he was, which, as his mirrors always did, seemed extremely out of place in the grassy field. Frail, as he usually was, the mirror was helping him to stand more than anything else. He had been surprised that he had wanted to follow Shana on this recent trip (and even more shocked that she had let him). The fresh air and sunlight was wonderfully soothing, though even that would never repair his shattered powers.
Shana stared into Ragnarok's eyes, standing in a loose fighting position with Apocratis sheathed and resting against a tree nearby. The wolf's golden gaze cut through her and gave her chills. They were the same eyes that her father once had...
If I am my father's daughter, she thought, why don't I look a thing like him? She thought about her shoulder-length, wine colored hair, her gray eyes. If this is supposed to be my true body, why don't I look like either of my parents, who gave me this power to begin with?
"Shana!"
Dias's voice snapped her out of her thoughts just in time to see that Ragnarok had leapt at her throat, not knowing that she had paused in their sparring match. His golden eyes burned into her own...
Shana's aura exploded. Power filled every inch of her, allowing her to catch the wolf with energy alone and toss him aside. He landed on his feet and barked at her, shocked that she had treated him so roughly and unevened the odds with power that he did not have. Her aura burned exactly opposite from its usual form; this time it was demonic black just barely lined with white. She stared at her hands in shock, her nails having lengthened into claw-like points that she and her father had both once had.
Asmodaeos jumped as the mirror at his back shattered and vanished. Normally, Shana's powers strengthened his own feeble energies. "Lady Shana, be careful."
Shana nodded absently, feeling the power that was pouring through her like water through a broken dam.
Shaking shards of glass out of his coat, Dias said, "Do you sense that all of a sudden?"
Ragnarok barked that indeed, he did. Shana smiled, almost able to understand his thoughts with her power like this. "That feels like Saiyame.. but... We should go. Something feels wrong."
She grabbed Apocratis and tore off at a run, her companions struggling to keep up with her. When she came upon the battle between Saiyame and Chiyoko she froze, throwing out her arms to keep Dias and her wolf behind her. She watched as a strange woman swung a long chain whip at Saiyame and tried to decide what to do. Even Dias was fingering the loops of thin chain around his chest, his hand falling towards his chainscythe even though he knew it was probably foolish.
I made the banners and that siggy, btw. I take requests, too. >.< Enough! This isn't advertisement for that! Anywho, if you want to know what happens next then you're out of luck. The next part has not been posted yet (though I believe it's my turn). If you would like to join Fantasy Realm then click the link provided earlier and at least check it out. Please don't join if you aren't going to post regularly or if your spelling and grammar is LyKe DiS. Ok? I love feedback too, so message me or whatever if you want.
Oh, and HAPPY EARLY TURKEY DAY!!! I can't wait for Thanksgiving and I have Thursday and Friday off from work. Yay!
