"Hello?"
"Hey Kenzie, its Riley." I said into the phone.
"RILEY! OH MY GOD! I HAVEN'T TALKED TO YOU IN FOREVER! HOW'S YOUR LEG I SA-"
"KENZIE! I like to be able to hear what people say." I said laughing at how excited my old friend was. She giggled a little.
"My bad. So how's your leg?" She asked.
"Ah, it's been better. I'll be able to compete in the next Olympics." I said in sad voice, she sighed.
"I'm sorry. So do we still hate that evil tomatoe?" She asked, I started laughing out loud at this.
"Actually, you know. I'm kind of dating him now." I said holding the phone away from my ear. Scream
"RILEY STREET BRING THAT PHONE BACK TO YOUR EAR I HAVE TO TALK TO YOU!" I smiled and brought the phone back to my ear.
"Yesss?" I asked exaggerating the word.
"Since when?" She asked calmly.
"About, two days?"
"AND YOU DIDN'T TELL ME?!"
"I'M SORRY! But, I kind of have a favor to ask of you."
"Do you want me to be your bridesmaid? Because I refuse to wear pink, no scratch that I refuse to wear an ugly dress."
"Kenzie, lets get back to Earth for a minute. I was wondering if you would go on a blind date with a friend of mine?"
"Hmm. Is he cute?"
"Yes."
"Does he skate?"
"All the time." I could almost see her goofy smile as she thought about it.
"Forget the board, ride the skater. I'll definatley go on a date with him." She said. I smiled.
"THANK YOU SO MUCH! HE WILL LOVE ME FOREVER FOR THIS!"
"HEY! I thought this was to benefit me, not you. And besides you have a boy." She said.
"Not like that, come on now. I'm just saying I will be his best friend forever now." I said smiling.
"Alright, when is this date?" She asked, I looked to the watch on my wrist.
"Oh about, three hours." I said.
"I'm coming over right now." She said and hung up the phone. I laughed and wobbled my way back into the pool room where Shaun and Ryan had stationed themselves while I talked on the phone.
"So?" Ryan asked.
"Your date will be here in a bit, you sir. Go home and shower and change, Shaun go help him get ready. I'm helping my friend get ready. Be back here in three hours." I said, they nodded and set the cues on the rack and walked towards the door, Ryan walked out and Shaun turned towards me. He wrapped his arms around my shoulders.
"So, while the kids are gone. You want to go on a date of our own?" He asked.
"Yeah." I said smiling. Shaun leaned down and kissed me before walking out to his own car. I waved to them and closed the door.
