Zodiac Garden (Furuba Life Story) Part 1

"Today, I present our new transfer student, Rei Tadeshi," the teacher announced to the class. You heard a slight murmur throughout the room. "You may sit at that seat," the teacher pointed at an empty seat at the back of the room next to the window. 'YES!' you thought to yourself, happily. You made your way to the back of the room and sat down. The teacher began class and you soon began to lose focus and began drawing in your notebook. Finally the bell rang and you made your way outside for lunch. You sat under a cherry blossom tree and began to eat. "So this is the new student?" you heard a voice ask. You looked up and saw three people staring at you. "Nice to meet you!" the one with brown hair said, smiling happily, "I'm Tohru Honda!" "P-pleased t-to m-meet you," you stuttered, "I-I'm s-sorry!" After saying this you fled. (Me: Noteyou are VERY bad with people.) You stopped by a large oak tree and tried to catch your breath. You were starting to feel a little dizzy. "Excuse me...are you alright?" a voice asked and you turned to see a boy with silver hair and grey eyes. "Y-yes," you barely whispered and suddenly felt eyes glaring at you so you ran again. 'Agh...there's so many people' you thought and you collapsed at the fire exit. You slowly began breathing normally again and glanced at your watch. There was still so much time before class starts so you pulled out your sketchbook and started drawing. "Oy, what's someone doing here?" a voice asked and you froze. You looked up slowly to see a boy with orange hair. 'Orange? People dye their hair orange nowadays?!?!' you thought to yourself. You then realized he had taken your sketchbook.
"It's good," you heard him murmur as he flipped through your book. "P-p-lease" you manage to say but then fail to get out any other words. "Are you ok?" he asked, somewhat hesitantly as he moved closer to you. You squeaked and then fled. The bell rang, signaling the end of the lunch period and you breathed a sigh of relief. ~~After school~~ You stumbled through the park to a small, abandoned and dilapidated house. "I'm home," you said cheerfully despite the fact that no one was there. You smiled at an old, faded picture of your parents holding you as a baby. You then heard a strange noise outside and peeked outside cautiously, hoping it was not another hoodlum or pervert. You came face to face with a mouse.
"Ah" a voice mumbled in surprise and you looked up to see Tohru. "I-is t-this your p-pet?" you managed to ask and her surprised expression slowly faded. "Y-yes!" she stuttered and you turned back to the mouse and smiled softly. "It's really adorable," you murmured softly and noticed that the mouse seemed to blush. "E-eh...you live here?" Tohru asked. "Y-yes," you said. "I didn't get your name last time, what is it?" she asked. "R-Rei," you smiled up at her, trying to quell your fear of people. The mouse suddenly ran off and Tohru did so too after bowing apologetically. You shrugged off your confusion and went to sleep. The next day you saw the boy with silver hair and Tohru waiting outside the park. You smiled slightly at Tohru and began to hurry off when the boy stopped you.
"Y-yes," you stammered surprised at his concern. "Ummy cousin owns a house that you're welcome to stay if you have no where else to stay," the boy said. "Eh?!?! B-but I could n-never impose like that!" you stammered turning red. "It's fine. Besides staying at the park isn't safe," the boy said.
