You turned to look at who had shouted your name.
It was Naruto.
"N-Naruto?" you whispered, a small smile escaping your lips, but then quickly fading away. "No, get away from here Naruto!" you screamed.
"Get away!" you continued screaming.
Naruto looked confused, but his usual carefree look returned. "Hikari, I'm going to be okay!" he assured you as he rushed towards the snake. The snake turned its attention towards Naruto and started slithering towards him.

"Naruto!" you shouted his name again, you couldn't move due to your fear. You clasped your hands and crouched down, Please, go away! you pleaded closing your eyes.
Sasuke glanced over you, "Hikari, get up" he ordered you and also rushed towards the snake. He made rapid handsigns and shouted; "Grand fire ball jutsu!" blast of fire went towards the snake.
While on the other hand Naruto was throwing some kunai and shuriken at the snake and the grass ninja.
The ninja grimaced in pain as he failed to dodge the kunai Naruto had thrown at him, the ninja took the kunai out from his arm and threw it back at Naruto. "This will show you!" he shouted as he charged towards Naruto grabbing his neck.
You still had your eyes closed, not wanting to see what was happening. Suddenly you got up from the tree branch, though you still had your eyes covered. "I'm sorry!" you shouted as you started running away from the fighting scene.
You could hear the grass ninja laughing as he saw you running away. You could also hear Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke calling your name.
I'm sorry everyone, I'm just too of a coward to fight by myself. Everyone always protects me from danger . . . you thought to yourself as tears trickled down your cheeks as you jumped tree to tree. Then why don't I just stand up for myself? you asked yourself.
Is it because I'm afraid of dying? Or just because I see blood wherever I go? you halted to a stop and jumped down and leaned against a tree. You could hear animals running around, everything seemed peaceful for now.
But then . . . you just couldn't believe that you had just run away from your companions like that. "I'm sorry" you whispered, covering your face again.
You started crying, "I'm not fit to be a ninja at all!" you shouted, wiping your tears. "Why did I even become a ninja then?" you asked yourself quietly. You didn't even know the answer to that.
Was it because you had promised to your father that you would become a great kunoichi? Or was it just because you wanted to follow your brother's footsteps? Or maybe you just wanted to show everyone that you could at least fight like your twin brother Sasuke.
A rustle could be heard just behind you, but you didn't even bother to look to see who it was.
"So, you're just going to give up?" asked a person, sitting beside you.
You nodded, "Yeah . . . maybe luck will come and maybe right now someone will kill me" you mumbled, looking down at the ground.
The person-a man started laughing. "Come on Hikari-chan don't say that."
You glanced over at the person and noticed it was Kabuto, his two companions standing beside him. "Oh, it's you. Are you here to get the scroll?" you asked in a monotone voice.
Kabuto continued smiling, "No, I know that you don't have the scroll" he replied sitting beside you.
"Then why are you here?" you asked him, not wanting to talk to him. Somehow you felt that he was hiding something secretive about him.
"Well, I just heard you talking with yourself as we passed by you." He replied frowning. "I think you're a great kunoichi Hikari-chan."
You smiled at that, "Thanks Kabuto-san . . . but you don't know the real me. Even Sasuke notices me as not a sister but just a coward that can't even fight."
Kabuto tilted his head a bit, a confused look on his face. "Why, does he really hate you that much? Or is it just you thinking that?"
You looked at him widening your eyes a bit, "Well-" you paused. "I don't know how to answer to that question. I'm sorry."

Kabuto nodded, "It's okay. I'm sorry that I just came here all of a sudden" he stood up from the ground. "Are you sure you don't want to go back to your friends Hikari-chan? They . . . might be in danger."
He smiled at Hikari and gave her a medicine bin, "That might come in handy. Well, got to go." He said as he disappeared his two companions right beside him.
You looked down at the bin Kabuto had just given at you, "Why did he do that?" you asked out loud. You got up from the ground after a few hours; you decided you should go back to your friends
"Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, I'm coming back" you whispered as you started to go back to where the fight was going on. "Arigato Kabuto-san."
If it wasn't for your words, then I probably wouldn't have go back you thought, a smile forming across your face.
You hoped everyone was okay, hoping that no one had gotten hurt, no one had died.
