'My first internship... and it's in a mental institution.' Sakura thought, walking down a sidewalk near her house and to her place of internship. She would be there for half a year, then go off to graduate and pursue her dreams in being a Therapist. She sighed lightly, though, not really liking the thought of where she would be at for half a year. After a few minutes, she was looking up to a somewhat tall building. She sighed again, then walked to the front doors. She pushed a button, sending a buzzing sound through it and to the front desk that was being worked by a woman with a slightly annoying voice.
"Yes? How can I help you?" the lady asked. Sakura shook her head and spoke back, "I'm the new intern; Haruno Sakura. Age nineteen, blah blah blah. You get the point." she stared at the door as she spoke, not paying attention to the intercom at all. Another buzzing sound was heard, then someone opened the door and looked down at her. She smiled and walked past him, looking around the building. It just so happened that it was a dull color.
She shook her head and walked through the next door that oddly resembled a fence. She shrugged it off, though, and walked through a dimly lit hallway. She was supposed to go to the boss' office; she knew where it was, too. It wasn't that hard to find seeing that there were signs pointing in its direction. She knocked on the door, but no one answered. After a few seconds, she was about to knock again but people rushed past her and towards some yelling she thought she'd heard earlier.
Her curiosity getting the better of her, she followed the few people that rushed by and soon found that they were all in one room. A high pitched scream was heard, then a thump. Sakura, being mostly trained in the medical field, ran to her aid. She found that it was a nurse, but she brushed Sakura off and ran out of the room with her head in her hands.
Sakura stood and looked to her left to see a blonde woman and a few security guards struggling with someone; a young man that could barely be any older than her. The blonde woman held her hands up, showing that she was no harm.
"Easy Gaara... we're here to help." Sakura had gone on unnoticed, but must have exhaled a little too loudly because the young man glared over at her. Some of the guards backed off and she had the chance to see him a little more clearly. He had a pair of the palest, jade eyes that she'd ever seen. They clashed with his bright red hair, but to her they went together well.
Soon enough, the blonde woman noticed that his focus was no longer on getting away from them but on that of a young, pink haired girl. She looked to her, also, and smiled some, "Hello. You must be the new intern, Sakura. I'll be with you in a moment; let me take Gaara to his room."
Sakura nodded and blinked when Gaara was directly in front of her; what? How did he get away from those guards? She looked past him and saw that they were no longer there; probably sent away by the blonde lady.
"Leave." a voice brought her back into reality and her head snapped back up to the one known as Gaara. She stared at him and blinked, "What?" he shook his head and sighed, "Leave. She's going to assign you to me... and you won't be able to keep your own sanity in tact." he smirked and walked to the door, "I'll be outside, Tsunade." he was then gone.
Sakura looked to the blonde woman, assuming that she was Tsunade since they were the only two in the room. She smiled lightly and nodded some, "Hello. I'm Sakura as you've guessed already."
Tsunade smiled back, "Nice to meet you, Sakura. I'm Tsunade; and Gaara was right. Welcome to the job because you'll be handling his case from here on out!" she smiled a little too much and handed Sakura a folder, Gaara's name written on it before she left the room.
Sakura blinked and sighed; they sure were to the point around here. Looking from her left to her right, she spotted a desk behind her. She shrugged and sat down in the chair behind it. Might as well read up on her new patient... what could it hurt? She sighed again and rubbed her temples. It was only her first day and she had a feeling she'd gotten the worst patient possible already.
