I know it's been a while since I bothered to update, but I've been... coaxed into writing this. So here you go. Enjoy.
QUIZ START {3rd person}
It has been a couple months, and the two teams have gotten much better at working as well, a team, and are now working on a highly dangerous mission to track down and defeat Sensui, who is somehow alive and well. Unfortunately for both teams, they both have a member being held hostage!! (DUN DUN DUN DUUUUN) Because of this, both teams are working together to bring down Sensui.
As the two teams search the underground lair, they are separated into five different groups: Hiei and Yuna, Kurama and Rein, Orie and Jin, and Yusuke, Chuu and Touya.
"Where the crap are we?" Yuna mutters as she and the fire demon walk down the hallway into which they were dropped.
"Hn, as if I know," Hiei answers, obviously annoyed at the situation. Yuna sighs quietly as they continue walking.
After a few minutes, they reach a room with six different passageways.
"What do we do now?" Yuna asks, exasperated.
"We pick a passage and hope it leads us to our destination," Hiei says as he begins to walk down a path. Yuna jogs to catch up and walks beside him, glancing over her shoulder nervously.
Suddenly, as they are walking a demon appears from the shadows, catching the two off guard and injuring Yuna.
"DAMMIT!!" she yells, clutching her bleeding side. Hiei glares at the demon, pulling his katana out of it's sheath.
Before the demon has a chance to strike again, Hiei slices its head clean off. Yuna clutches her wound tighter, attempting to halt the blood.
Silently, Hiei walks toward Yuna, and she looks at him strangely.
"You're wounded," he states bluntly. A light blue glow surrounds his hand.
"Hold still," he moves Yuna's hand and places his own glowing hand upon the open gash. Yuna winces slightly, but her side is filled with a tingling sensation.
To her astonishment, her wound is healing.
As her gash fully disappears, Hiei removes his hand and takes a step back.
"Tell no one," he warns, and Yuna nods dumbly.
Meanwhile
"KYAAH!! BRING IT ON!!" Rein yells, slicing the head off another shadow demon, panting as it dissipates into the darkness. Kurama sighs.
"You're very... enthusiastic," he says, using his rose whip to dispose of another shadow demon. Rein grins at him, resting her scythe against her shoulder, glad that the demons are gone.
"Hey, at least we haven't fallen into a deathtrap, right?"
Kurama sighs, shaking his head. They walk down the corridor, Rein humming happily. Suddenly, the floor falls out from beneath them, and the plummet down a thin tube.
"HOLY CRAP!!!" Rein screams.
They both groan as they lie in a pile at the bottom. Kurama stands up, brushing himself off as Rein sits up, rubbing her ankle.
"That hurt man..." she mutters, attempting to stand up, but instead of standing, she ends up falling forwards into Kurama.
"Shit, my ankle!! Bloody hell!!" she hisses as Kurama helps her to stand up.
Finally taking in their surroundings, they are surprised to see many mirrors around them everywhere they look. As they focus on the mirrors, they are horrified as familiar scenes begin to play on the mirrors.
This can't be happening... Rein thinks to herself, trying to tear her eyes away from the mirrors. The mirror's images are of her own blood covered scythe, sickly green demonic eyes that seemed to laugh, and the image of a young blonde girl impaled upon a construction pole, the life slowly draining out of her pale blue eyes.
While this happened, Kurama was being shown horrific images from his own past. As he watched, entranced, images of treasures were shown, but quickly flashed to that of a pendant, then a bloody image of a dying bat demon, his body impaled with what looked like sharpened bamboo rods. (I LIKE THE WORD IMPALED!!)
As they both watched, they retreated into the only safe places they could think of: their minds.
But they weren't safe. As they retreated, they were both forced into images of one another's pasts.
A young blonde girl stood atop a cliff with younger versions of Rein, Yuna and Orie, along with an older looking demoness.
"We'll never let you through the portal!!" she yelled, and the demoness laughed.
"You think that you'll stop me? You can't even begin to comprehend my powers!!" she smirked, her sickly green eyes glistening with malice. The blonde rushed forward to attack, but as she gets within attack range, she slows to a stop and turns around to face the three girls, her eyes soulless and empty.
"As I said, you can't even begin to comprehend my powers," the demoness grinned as the blonde attacked the girls.
After a prolonged fight, Rein finally gave in to the reality of the situation: if she didn't kill her sister, her sister would kill her.
"I am so sorry Chikaze!!" she whispered as she swiped through her sister's body with her scythe, and Orie tripped, knocking her over the cliff.
She and the other two girls watched in horror as their sister's body was impaled upon a construction pole and the life drained from her eyes. Yuna and Orie both began to cry, but Rein turned around to attack the demoness.
As this was playing in Kurama's mind, Rein was seeing the opposite: the death of Youko Kurama's partner and friend, Kuronue.
But as she watched, the memory became twisted, and instead of what really happened, she watched in horror as Youko Kurama was the one who killed Kuronue (Just like in the movie ^__^)

"Hello my dear guardians? Remember me?"
Yuna gasped at the sight of the demon before her. Rein glares and Orie widens her eyes in fear.
Sensui just smirks as the demon before the curves her thin, yet plush lips into a devious smirk.
"So you DO remember me. Rein dear, are you guilty, for what happened or was it Orie's fault. After all, you could've saved her. If only Orie didn't pushed her over.
"So how's young Yuna doing? Still doing nothing in battles but getting in the way? Pathetic"
"Shut up!" Yuna and Rein growled.
"It wasn't my fault There was no way to save her There was no way to save her! And I didn't push her over the cliff. I tripped. And besides, it wasn't MY idea to kill her. It wasn't My weapon that killed her. It wasn't my fault!" Orie yelled, tears streaming down her face.
RAWR!!! IT IS DONE!!
