It was many hours after the Task and the headache still hadn't gone away. You went over to one of the open chairs near the fire and curled up in it. Harry was around some where, you'd talk to him later, right now all you wanted was to close your eyes and for this headache to go away.
You were sitting on top of something. There was only air around you. You couldn't look anywhere but in front of you. You were flying through the clouds. A slight mist was hitting your face.You could hear a soft thudding in the air, the sound of wings flying through the air.Through the fog and clouds you saw a thick long neck and head of a teal dragon. You shot up in a cold sweat. You were extremely dizzy. You couldn't make sense of anything. You got up from your bed and walked down to the Common Room where Harry, Ron, and Hermione still sitting down there. You walked past them and barely heard Harry call your name. You didn't know where you walking but you knew you needed to be somewhere. You kept walking, you heard footsteps far behind you and someone calling your name, but that wasn't important right now. You left the Castle and continued down the lawn in the dark. The wind blew on your face and you felt a chill go down your spine. You finally reached Hagrid's cabin and you knew that, that was where you needed to be. You were about to knock on Hagrid's door when a hand touched your shoulder and surprised you.
You turned around and saw Harry looking at you with concern.
"Harry what are you doing?"you asked looking around confused.
" I was gunna ask you the same question." he said and took off his cloak and wrapped it around you're shoulder.
" I remember having a dream and then getting up and getting here." you said.
" You walked by me, and I called you but you just kept walking, it was like you were in a trance or something." Harry said.
Why are you down here anyways?" he asked.
" I don't know but it feels like I just need to be. I don't know why." you said.
"Lets go in, its freezing out here." Harry said and knocked on the door.
You saw Hagrid peer through the curtains of a window before opening the door.
"Emmy I was, jus' about to send you a letter...its hatching."he said and let you in.
You ran over to the fire and saw in the hearth your teal egg.Hagrid brushed by you with oven mits on and grabbed the egg and layed it on the table where it began to crack.
An hour later and you were walking back up to the castle with Harry walking by your side.
"I can't believe it, it actually hatched, I actually have a dragon!" you exclaimed.
"Do you think you'll be able to keep it?"Harry asked you.
"I can, Hagrid already said that Dumbledore allowed it."you responded.
"Yeah Dumbledore said, but its illegal says the Ministry, and if they find out...." Harry began.
"Since when have you ever set store by what the Ministry has to say."you cut off.
"I don't but, if they find out you have one, it could be bad news for you for owning it, for Hagrid for helping you, and for Dumbledore for allowing it." Harry said.
"Then we won't let them know then shall we." you said looking at him.
"They'll find out, Em, its a dragon, Hagrids house is only so big."
"Then I'll keep him in the Forbidden Forest."you replied.
"Oh cause I am sure the centaurs will love that."Harry snapped.
"Then I'll go and talk to them." you snapped back.
Harry stopped."The centaurs won't let you do that Emmy, they aren't that kinda of people."
"We'll see." you said and ran from Harry into the forest. You kept running and you could hear Harry running behind you. You strayed a little off the path before you saw something walking in the distance. You began to follow it, you were walking slowly trying not to make a lot of noise because you didn't want to startle it. It hadn't noticed you until you stepped on a twig which snapped in half loudly. The thing jumped and looked at you.
"Sorry I didn't mean to startle you." you said softly.
The thing took a step closer to you and a beam of light from the moon hit its face. You realized it was a centaur.The centaur had a palomino body and white-blonde hair.
"haa..ha..Hello." you stuttered.
"Hello, I am Firenze.What are you doing in the forest at such a late hour?"
" I came to ask you something." you responded, not feeling as afraid. You looked into Firenze's astonishing blue eyes and were sure he wouldn't harm you.
"Emmy...finally... I found you....you can't do this." said an out-of-breath Harry, who had just found you.
'Harry Potter, you know this girl?"Firenze asked.
"Firenze!! Thank you for finding her."Harry said.
"I didn't find her, she was following me."Firenze said softly.
"Sorry." you said to Firenze.
"No matter, may I ask why you were?" Firenze asked.
"I wanted to ask you something, you and all the other centaurs." you said.
"And what is that?"
"How would you feel about a Dragon living here?"you asked anxiously.
"I can not answer for all the creatures that call this forest home, but I believe you would find the same answer. And that would be that they would not accept a Dragon residing here."
"But it wouldn't hurt anyone. I know he wouldn't." you pleaded.
"Emmy, its a dragon, it'll do whatever it wants to."Harry said.
"Not my dragon Harry."you said.
"Emmy, please lets go."Harry said taking your hard and began walking.
"Please just talk to the other centaurs, please.' you begged.
You wrenched your arm out Harry's grasp.
"Why would you do that? I thought you'd be on my side."you said angrily.
"Emmy, Hagrid tried to keep a dragon in my first year. I saw how much pain Hagrid was in when he had to give it away. I just don't want to see you get attatched and then have to give it away." Harry said looking at you.
"Its took late Harry because I am attatched to it. I'm not giving it away Harry."
"Emmy, Ron's brother works with dragons, he can take good care of it, I promise. Just let me write to him."Harry pleaded.
" Harry, Hagrid already talked to him, and he said that this type of dragon doesn't get as big as most dragons and he should be able to stay in the forest, so thats where he is staying." you said and didn't say anything else on the matter.
It wasn't before you were in the Castle that you spoke again.
" I don't think I really said good job today." you said.
"Thanks."Harry responded.
"Your welcome."
You were at the Gryffindor Portrait Hole and just as you were about to say the password Harry grabbed both your hands and you turned towards him.
"I'm sorry." he said and wrapped his arms around you.
"Me too." you said and took his hand and entered the Common Room.
