[Chad Michael Murray] If we were a movie [#0: Intro]

The girl this story goes about is called Melinda (Mel) McGeddes.

She is 19 years old and has pretty normal looks: brown long hair, which covers about half her back and sprakly dark brown eyes. She not the girl you turn around to look at on the street, but shes still very pretty.
She has lived in San Francisco her entire life and is studying at Stanford at this point.

For as long as she can remember, she has been friends with Chad Michael Murray. They met the summer after she turned four. He was ten at that point and his father, who was raising him and his brothers and sisters alone, decided he needed to get some time away from home, so he called Melindas mother, who he had been in high school with. They hadnt had much contact ever since they both got married, but she was happy to let Chad spend the first month of summer with her family.

Although there was an age gap of six years between the two, Melinda and Chad never seemed to have a problem with that. They soon became friends, Chad would always be taking care of Melinda and she would look up to him as if he were her big brother. He would call her his little princess and she would be calling him pretty boy.

When July ended, Chad went back home to his family, but from then on, he would be coming over every July until the year he turned 18.
That year, he decided to move to LA to work on a modeling carreer and although that never was his plan, he soon was casted to play the role of Tristan in new TV show Gilmore Girls.
Although LA wasnt that far away from San Francisco, Chad was always very busy and didnt had the time to spend the summer with Mel anymore.

They did keep in touch through letters and e-mails and she would still recieve gifts at christmas or on her birthday.

Six years later, on the day she turned 18, Mel walked out of school and started to head home, when suddenly two hands covered her eyes. "Guess who Princess ?" A voice whispered in her ear. Knowing that there was only one person in the world who would call her that, she turned around and jumped in his arms.

Chad spend the day with her and it felt like the six years she hadnt seen him never excisted. They talked and laughed and had more fun than they had in a very long time. But Chad, who was living in Wilmington at that time to film One Tree Hill, had to head back there because he couldnt be missed on the set very long. However, he invited her to spend the summer with him and his friends in Wilmington. Off course, she gladly excepted his invite.

That 18th birthday is almost a year and a half ago when this story starts. Melinda has just started her second year at Stanford and during her first year, she went to visit Chad a couple of times. She and Chad have grown closer than ever, but during her last visit the past summer, something happened which could change their friendship forever.
