alive-tonight - Map of the Problematique Hello all! I bring you this one shot. It's about Gerard Way. Yes, again because he's all the rage. Speaking of which, this one is for all the rage. I'm not if I'm fond of this one. Oh, well. I leave you with a quote from my favorite show. What kind of scary ass clowns came to your birthday? - Chandler. >_< I love FRIENDS.

Once upon a time...
A website became the artist and photographers's cyber home.
A drawing sparked an interest.
A comment started their daily conversations.
An email made one another realize how close they are to each other.
A meeting made them friends.
A trip to a local carnival developed feelings.
A New Year's Eve party made things awkward.

"I can't believe your making me do this," a brunette muttered while tightly wrapping her warm coat closer to her hour-glass figure.
The man next to her sighed. "Well, this New Year's thing came on short notice."
The brunette shook her head as the two walked up the stairs of an apartment complex. "You sure you didn't forget?"
The tint of pink from the cold grew to a bright shade of embarrassment on the man's cheeks. "It may have slipped my mind..."
The brunette quickly glanced at her friend. "Figures," she teased. "-it's quite difficult to grab the attention of that artistic mind of yours when it's at work." Her mocking tone ended with an overdramatic sigh.
The man rolled his hazel eyes and stopped in front of an apartment door. "Oh, uh, I forgot to mention something else," he knocked on he door.
The brunette turned and looked at him expectantly.
"Isortoftoldmyfriendsyou'remygirlfriend," the words rushed out of him right before the door opened.
"Hey, Gerard!" a feminine giggle greeted the two. "And Gerard's lady friend."
The brunette froze upon hearing the words Gerard had said.
"Hey, Frank," Gerard met the blank stare of the brunette. "This is Lindsey-" Gerard coughed, feeling uncomfortable with the words he was about to utter. "-my girlfriend."
Lindsey grimaced at the use of the term 'girlfriend'. It's not that Gerard is a bad person because he's not. Lindsey just thought of Gerard as a friend who happened to be a boy. Sure, Gerard was an attractive man and Lindsey could easily say that she loves Gerard, but the connotation of the word 'love' reaches to the highest extent of brotherly love. Nothing more. "Hi."
The man introduced as 'Frank' stepped out of the way. "Come on in."
Lindsey gave a weak smile to Frank then muttered as she walked into the apartment. Gerard followed his supposed girlfriend and grinned at the people he was deprived of due to work; his friends.
An out of tune chorus of "GERARD!"s filled the living room area of the apartment. Much to Gerard and Lindsey's amusement, the majority of the party attendees were drunk.
Gerard carefully placed his hands on Lindsey's waist, leading her to the location of his friends.
"Girlfriend?" Lindsey harshly whispered.
Gerard's pleading eyes met the gaze of his aggravated friend. "I rather not deal with them and their mockery."
"'Mockery' is such an odd word when it's coming out of your mouth, love." Lindsey said beneath her smile.
Gerard lightly shoved Lindsey.
"That's not how to treat a lady, Gerard," Frank came by again, this time he laid his arm around Lindsey's shoulders and sat her onto the couch.
Lindsey eyed the people who were anxiously staring at her. "Is this the part where you all interrogate me?"
A lanky looking man smiled at her. "Pretty much. I'm Mikey-"
"Gerard's younger brother. That I do know. The rest of you, I don't know," Lindsey stated as Gerard occupied the empty spot next to her.
"Except for the midget," Gerard added.
Frank muttered to himself.
Lindsey let her giggle audible to those who were surrounding her. "Okay, name then question. Who's first?"
"Ray," Ray stuck his hand out to Lindsey, which she took, and shook it. "How did you two meet?"
"We met on one of those internet dating sites. Instead of getting a slightly obese forty-year-old male, I got Gerard, much to my disappointment," Lindsey tried to sell her story with a serious face. Technically, it the lie was partially true.
"Seriously, how did you meet?" Mikey asked, giving Lindsey a blank stare.
"I bumped into her in a coffee house, spilled her coffee, and did the rest of that cliche shit," Gerard informed his friends. "By the way, the guy sitting next to Mikey is Matt, that's Bert, his girlfriend," Gerard pointed to the person as he said their name.
"I have a name..." The woman next to 'Bert' said as Gerard went on to name the people he knew.
"I really don't care. That's-OW!" Gerard rubbed the spot Lindsey had elbowed him.
"I can already tell this is an abusive relationship," Frank stared at Gerard and Lindsey with his own hazel eyes wide as whatever people tend to compare this to; saucers, yes, that's what I meant. "Anyways, LET'S GET DRUNK!"
"More than you already are?" Lindsey questioned Frank.
"Well, yeah, that's the whole point of New Year's, right?" asked Frank, letting a confused facial expression cover his former excited one.
"Welcoming the new year with a handover and possibly a stranger next to you in someone's bed? Nice..." Lindsey mused out loud.
Gerard grinned.

Gerard Way is a complex fellow who told Lindsey almost everything. Well, he would blurt out his secrets due to the nerves that would not settle when Lindsey was around him. Yes, Gerard Way likes Lindsey, but his insecurities prevent him from telling her the truth. This is where the alcohol comes in...
Gerard steadied himself behind Lindsey, making her shoulder his resting spot for his chin. "What would happen if that thing got stuck? Would we be stuck in time?"
Lindsey laughed softly, watching the bright, shiny ball go down. "I'm not sure."
"Three," They chanted.
"Two," Gerard grabbed Lindsey's chin.
"One," They kissed.
"HAPPY NEW YEAR'S!!!" Frank's screech voice broke Gerard and Lindsey from their kiss.
"Could we say we're one of those couples who found love on the internet?" Gerard asked, going back to his resting position.
"Sure. Or we can say we bumped into each other in a coffee house and all that cliche shit," Lindsey grinned, feeling content with having Gerard around her.

Fine, things didn't go awkward, but life did go on.
Meaning, relationships come and go.
Not every relationship has a happy ending, you know.
I bring you the end of this modern fairytale.
I wash my hands of this weirdness.
