Chris Halliwell is a whitelighter........Ch:5

Lexi woke up the next mourning and quickly changed into her uniform as she put her jacket and hit the snooze button on her alarm clock.
It was 9:30 and she had 15 minutes to walk to work with 4 mintues to spare. On her way she stopped by Jessy's usual spot and got a bottle of water.
Jessy had her light blonde hair in twin braids and had her dark glasses over her eyes as she looked over a her article for the local newspaper she worked
for. Her mouth was clenched to the sighed as she corrected errors efficently.

"How's the article doing?"
"I there is something missing I mean the cops found ashes but there wasn't a fire and they can't relate it to any human DNA"
Lexi covered easily "That's weird"
"I know right? So you on your way to work?"
"Yep"
"You going on that interview later?"
"Yeah during my lunch break"
"You will get it, you have the resume for it I mean you would be great at working with kids"
"I hope I do get it-" Lexi sighed checking her watch.
"I got to go or I will be late, I'll see you at Ruby's on saturday!"
"Don't forget to bring a date!"
"YOU'RE FUNNY!" Lexi yelled over her shoulder going down the street.

Lexi rushed into the kitchen and stamped her card. She then tied up her hair and tied her apron around her waist.
Her bangs fell into her eyes as she tied the laces on her black converses yawning she brushed them aside and took the plates on the counter.
She gave the ordered tables their plates and went to a lady waiting patiently by the table near the entrance.
Her eyes were light grey and her hair was a frail white color but she was sharp.

"Hello may I take your order?"
"Yes dear can I have a water with a lemon in it?"
"Of course would you like any app-"
"No thank you just the drink please"
"Alright I will be back in a moment with your drink" Lexi responded polietly.

She poured water into a glass and grabbed three lemons and placed them on adjancent sides of the glass.
Whistling on the side of her mouth she grabbed a napkin and delivered the glass to the woman.


"Would like to order or would prefer another minute?"
"Just the water for now"
"Okay if you need anything just call me"

Lexi saw no tables without out food or a corresponding waitress so she sat at the counter next to chris.
He was appearently on his break because he had half a hamburger and french fries infront of him.
She leaned back against the counter and yawned.
"Mourning" He said through a mouth of food.
Lexi laughed "If it's mourning why are you eating a hamburger?"
"Because i'm sick of breakfast foods"
"Nice"

Chris finished eating and faced the same way Lexi did. He thought for a few moments then decided a direct approach was the best way.
"Lexi? You know the other day what Anna said?"
"What do you mean?" Lexi asked honestly confused.
"She said she knew you had been fighting"
"Oh that....I just am very clumsy and she always assumes I got into some fight"
"Explain to me why there are two owners" Lexi changed the subject easily.
"Anna manages it and Piper creates the recipes and finances"
"Oh see that makes sense"
"You are so short" Chris laughed suddenly looking at how her feet couldn't even touch the first bar on the stool.
"Oh please your six foot anythings short to you!" Lexi shot back defensively.
He chuckled slightly then nudged her "Oh come on I'm not that tall"
"Well i'm not that short!" She replied sticking her tongue out at him.
"Sure you aren't"
"Whatever gigantore"
Chris laughed and got up to go get a tables leftover dishes.
"You fiesty little midget"
