My scream echoed out of my room and down the hall. I waited for him to stop while I twisted and turned, and screamed again. my lips curling back from my teeth. He smiled, obviously he was getting pleasure from this. "ok, ok," I choked out. "Say it!" he demanded. "You're the best musician ever!" I cried out with a laugh. he stopped tickling me and backed up. I held my sides and kept rolling on my bed, I giggled some more before turning too far and falling off the bed with a thump.
"Are you ok?" he asked rushing forward. "ow" I said before laughing some more. "see what you did Demyx!" I said as he helped me up. "now my beds all messy." I said smiling. "well you shouldn't have said you were better than me". Demyx had come to hang out in my room, and I had said I could play music better than him and he glomped me. Also, I'm very ticklish. my weakpoint you could say, well, one of them.
There was a knock on my door. "c'min" I answered. Vexen walked in. "HI, Master Vexen!" I greeted happily. he gave me a look. "do you know what day it is today?" he questioned. "uh.. OH" I said. "todays testing day right?" He nodded. I looked at Demyx. "i gotta go, see ya k?" I said. He nodded and with a small wave he left my room. I followed Vexen down the hall. "how do you think I'll do? I asked. "if you've been good, you should do fine" he said. I smiled brightly at him.
We took a portal and eventually made it to his room, I twitched with excitment. "I've been working on the treament and if it works you may have them" he said. I let out a gleeful squeek. He motioned for me to get into place. I got into the glass tube and waited. He played with the button sthat controlled my heart and I began to fall into a hazy sleep. the beeping of my heart monitor went away. this was the one and only time that I had dreams when I slept, and it was wonderful.
I could go to the most amazing places in a dream, I could fly, run fast and breathe under water. I had told Vexen about the dreams and ever since then He had been trying to find a way for me to have them without having to be exposed to exess radiation, that came with being in the glass tube, and I was only in the tube to be tested, for my brain, heart, and overall health. as I danced through one of the most incredible places I had ever been to, a rose garden that shimmered under pale moonlight with a dark blue sky, it faded and white room came into view.
I stepped out. "aww, over already?" I asked. "yeah" Vexen said patting my head. I flinched happily. "how did I do?" I asked. "well, you brain is great, and your health is regular, but..." he said pausing. "?" I questioned in a low squeeky noise I used often when curious. "your heart seems to be under some stress, and is weaker, is there something wrong, you know I don't want my greatest creation breaking because it wouldn't tell me what was wrong." he said. "nothing's wrong master Vexen, maybe I need more sleep?" I said.
That wasn't the truth though, there was something wrong. you see, Vexen was in something called, the underground, which consisted of, Vexen, Zexion, and Lexaeus, I think of them as my family, but... there's also a group who are above ground and consist of Marluxia, Larxene, and now I believe they added somone named Axel, I think of them as my very good friends, so the problem lies in the fact that they don't really like each other too much, so yes, it has given me some stress.
Vexen had a meeting to attend to in the *underground*, so I tagged along. "hi Zexy!" I said walking up behind him, he was seated crosslegged on the ground. I knelt dow and gave him a hug around his neck before sitting next to him. he didn't say anything but looked at me from the corner of his eye, he was always a quiet one. Lexaeus walked in and I gave him a wave. Vexen began talking about something and I couldn't help zoning out, it wasn't very interesting. "are you bored my dear?" he asked after a few minutes.
I looked up quickly. "uh--" I responded not knowing what to say. "you can go and do something else" he said, so I smiled and walked to the door and waved before leaving, grateful that I could go. I trotted down the hall and stood outside a particular door. I opened it just a bit to look in, I didn't see anyone, so I walked in. "helloooo?" I called. I saw that little girl, Namine, I believe was her name drawing like always in the corner. "hi" I greeted, but she didn't respond. she just looked up, with misery in her eyes.
I wish I could make her feel better. A portal opened and I looked to see who was coming. one thing sure stuck out, bright red hair. He looked surprised to see me. "hello" I said. his eyes narrowed. "hey..Ella right?" he said. I nodded. "I heard about you" he continued. "the names-", "Axel, got it memorized?" I finished for him, vexen had hissed Axel's quote at times like it annoyed him. Axel looked like he was gonna smile, but held the laughter in his eyes.
I heard some more whooshing and turned to see Marluxia and Larxene. I know I said that Larxene was my friend, but she wasn't exactly nice, it was more that she just tolerated my existance for Marluxia's sake. I flashed a friendly smile. I ran forward and looked up at him. "how've you been?" I asked. "just fine" Marluxia said while putting a hand on my shoulder and pulling me up to him to face Axel, who looked unhappy. it was a tad unusual but I accepted the affection and gave a small hug back.
"oh, guess what" I said turning to Marluxia. "hmm?" "Vexen said, he was making something so I could actually dream!" I explained with excitment. it might seem silly to be so excited about dreams, but when you can only have one every few months, you appreciate them.
Riku, or, what was said to be replica Riku walked into the room. He was created by Vexen, like i was. "Vexen is going to tell Sora" He said. "Axel, take care of it" Larxene said. I looked up, a bad feeling pulling at my heartstrings. "what's gonna happen?" I asked. "Vexen is turning traitor, so we have to get rid of him" Marluxia said, like it was a shame. "wait, like...k-ki " I couldn't say the words. "NO" i said instead. I ran to the door but petals blocked it. "i'm sorry but it's to late now, there's nothing that can be done". something glistened in the light, like glitter was swirling around me in the wind, but there was no wind.
I dropped to my knees. frustration pervaded me, this was new, a feeling of wanting to destroy anything around me, regardless of what the future consequence would be. the sound of sharp stings ringed through the air. I looked up to see that small holes had pierced through every inch of the door and flower petals, like a shrapnel bomb had gone off. I looked Marluxias way, he had a shocked look on his face, a tinge of fear even maybe. I buckled and began to cry. Larxene looked away like she was trying not to care but marluxia stepped forward.
He scooped me up and sat down in a white chair. "poor Ella, I'm sorry" he cooed. I sniffled. "I think I'm, gonna go and clean up his lab" I said wanting to be alone, though being held, I must admitt was very comforting. He put me down and I ran down the hall to the basemnt where the others usually were. I ran in and saw Axel there, with replica Riku. "wha?-" I began. but they were cornereing Zexion. Silver specks came from nowhere, flying through the air like angry bees. "Zexion!" I screamed as he was held by his coat choking for air.. "STOP" I screamed again. silver shot forward and pinned Riku to the wall, but it was too late Zexion was already fading away. Lexaeus wasn't there so I assumed he had been killed also.
Axel turned to me, he grabbed Riku away from the silver. "I'll kill you!" I shouted, nothing I thought would ever come from my lips. he smirked, but in a strangely sad way and dissapeared with Riku into a portal. "wait, stop..." my voice was horse from screaming. I wiped my eyes and turned to go back to Marluxia, Why was everything suddenly...so crazy? I ran down the halls ad heard a scream. I saw beyond a boy with brown hair who i'de never seen before, was Larxene. "I refuse to..." I barely heard her say before she faded.
I ran ahead of the boy and through white doors. "wait" he called but I ignored him. I ran into the room, with the glass sphere, the table riddled with crayons, and kept going. I finally saw who I wanted to see. "marluxia!" I called. a chakram whizzed past my head, i shrieked and dropped to the ground in shock. "you almost hit Ella!" Marluxia shouted. "oh" Axel's voice said. hands grabbed my wrists and pulled me up. the blade of a chakram against my throat. "so you really like Vexens little puppet huh?" Axel asked.
Marluxia had a look on his face that I couldn't read. "I'll borrow her, while Sora takes care of you" Axel said turning slightly. the brunette boy had come in the room. so HE was the Sora I'de heard so much about lately. darkness enveloped us and I was released. white walls came into view, this was the hallway outside Marluxia's garden. "why" I asked choking back tears. I turned to him, "you should get out of here" he said turning around. "and go where? and with who? I don't want to be alone!" I screamed. I watched his back as he stopped. looking down, he shrugged. "thanks home ruiner!" I hissed. I turned to Marluxia's door and opened it.
of course, what else did I see other than my last resort, last friend Marluxia fading away and this Sora person looking angry. I grabbed my chest in pain, it felt like i was falling apart inside. I remebered that Vexen had said. my heart was weak. I slightly panicked. Sora turned to face me. I ran, as fast as the pain would allow to Vexens lab. Sora followed yelling after me. I ran into the lab and locked the door. The controls weren't so hard, I needed to heal my heart, so I dialed a number in the controls and climbed into the glass tube.
I heard a clicking noise as I began to fall into my haze, unusually slowly, I guess that since I was so alert it was taking longer for me to go into sleep mode since before hand I was always relaxed. "it's that girl!" I voice said. how did they get through the locked door? "hey maybe this computer thing can tell us about organization 13". "I don't think you should touch that it might-". "it's not working!" the boy, who sounded like Sora growled. a loud bang was heard. "sora stop you might cause it to..." a long beep was heard. "oh no, the heart monitor" "see what you did". "I don't think she's breathing".....
wow, the haze is turning to black, darkness i guess you could call it. this is a strange place. what are those figures. Oh, Vexen! and Zexion too? theres Marluxia, and Larxene, and I see Lexaeus. this is the best place ever, everyone's getting along. time feels like it's going by so fast but I don't think it matters, I see more people coming too. I don't know what this place is, but's it's definately not dreamless sleep, I don't think It's even a dream. it's better........
