Once again all of us piled into the SUV, same seating arrangements as last time. Nick and Joe striked up a conversation with my dad about music and Kevin turned towards me and smiled.
"I can tell you're not so happy about this move, but it's nice here, and soon we'll be your neighbors, and I bet you and," he pointed behind him to Nick, "will get along just fine. And Joe and I will too, but I think you a Nick 'cause you guys are the same age and all." I smiled and nodded lightly, "thanks, so what do you guys do for fun around here?" I asked playing with my fingers and turning so I was facing Kevin.
"Oh, well Joe and Nick, and I are normally in the basement practicing our music, but if we have time we'll go down to starbucks our favorite smoothie place with some friends." I cocked my head slightly to the left, "you guys in a band together?". He acted kinda surprised that I ask, but quickly straightened up and answered, "oh yeah! We're in a band...just the 3 of us." I nodded, taking in the information. "You'll have to play for me sometime, " smiled and he smirked and quickly nodded.
Kevin and I started to get into a different conversation about my friends back home and what school I'd be starting at the end of Summer.
Nick
As Mr. Davis and Joe got into a heated discussion about metal, I turned my attention to the front and saw Kevin smiling at Becky fondly and I could see they were getting along just fine. I felt my cheeks flush red, and beam of jealousy go through me. I shook my head and mentally slapped myself. Why was I flustered?
'Cause she's gorgeous and you are atractted to her silly.
But I just met her like 20 minutes ago!
Your point?
Eh, I don't like her.
Whatever helps you sleep at night...
I tried to get my mind back on to the conversation and thoughts of liking Becky out of my mind. I'm a fucking rockstar, girls drool over me in an obsessive way, and I'm fighting with myself over a non-fan girl? Wow. I feel like an idiot. I felt my cheeks flush again and I put my hands up to cover them up. This just freakin' great.
Normal POV
The car came to a sudden stop and everyone pilled out of the car and shut the doors beind them. I was still chatting with Kevin about school and as everyone seemed to out of the car, we all headed inside the restruant I saw as Chili's. Score! I love this place. I couldn't help but grin which Joe took notice of and laughed, "like this place?". I grinned, "love is more the word to use."
Kevin and everyone else laughed when they heard my response, my dad was the first one to the door, meaning he was going to be holding it open for everyone. We all filed in, mumbling 'thanks' to my dad and waited for the host to ask how many in our party. My mom and Denise turned around started counting. Kevin, Nick, Joe, me, my dad, my mom, Denise, Mr Jonas, and Frankie [who I forgot to mention I met before me got into the car:)].
"9" my mom replied with a smile being polite. The waitress, who looked about 17, male, nodded and said to follow him. We didn't end up walking that far and he pulled us to booth together next to the window. Kevin went in first of one side, then me, Nick, Joe, and then Frankie. The adults were one the other side and quickly got the menus and passed them out. The adults got into a conversation quickly, leaving all the boys and I to start one of our own.
"So, did you actually want to move?" Joe asked, leaning forward a little to see me, Nick and Kevin looked at me waiting for my reponse. "No-not really, I've never moved so it's different for me, and I really didn't want to leave everything and everyone being, you know?". They all nodded, "well, we're at home alot, and it's not everyday we get a cute new girl in the house" Joe added and smirked.
What was he, only 2 years older than me? Wait! Are you forgetting about the hot curly head boy next to you?! I mentally slapped myself and blushed at his comment. "Ignore Joe, he'll get over the fact soon that he needs to find someone his own age," Kevin retorted, mostly aiming that at Joe, but looking at me and smiling, kinda like how a brother would smile at his sister when they just were goofying off.
"Haha, I think she knows I'm kidding with her Kev," Joe laughed and started looking at his menu and looking at food, Nick did the same, followed be Kevin and I. The waiter came back shortly and took our drink orders. I got my normal; ice tea.
The parents seemed to be talking about how we all were growing up so fast , we all laughed at them and kept reminding them we at least were all younger than 20. Kevin just shook his head and kept repeating 'one more year'. "
"So, still gonna show me my room when we get home?" I turned to Nick and asked, he looked up and grinned, "only if you want me to."
"Why wouldn't I?"
He just shrugged and looked back down, still smirking I might add.
"Come on!" Nick shouted as he started to run up the stairs, we had just gotten home from Chili's and the whole dinner was amazing. All the boys are awesome and sweet, Frank the Tank is the cutest thing ever too. I started to sprint up the stairs to not lose Nick, and as I caught with him we got to the top of the stairs and I followed his as he turn left to a hallway of 5 or 6 rooms. He kept walking until he came to the 4th door and twisted the doorknob and flung it open.
"Wa-la" he said and smiled that amazing smile that could probably make you weak at the knees. But I tried my best to look at the room instead. It was huge, a desk by the far window with a computer and a bed in the middle pressed against the back wall and a dresser and closet for my clothes. "Oh my, thanks!" I said and hugged him surprising him, and myself.
I did not just do that.
But he didn't seem to mind at all, actually, he grinned and nodded in saying 'no prob'. "I'll just leave you to unpack and stuff, if you want to hangout later, Kev, Joe, Frank, and I will be in the room on the right side of the stairs, first door. It's kinda like a big game room," he added, started to walk towards the room. I nodded, and stepped into my room, closing the door behind me and letting out a high-pitched squeal of joy.
I noticed that all 3 of my bags had been placed on my bed, and I started to upzip my green and blue bag and pulled out my skinny jeans and band shirts [and regular shirts] and put them in my first and second drawer of the dresser. And etc...etc. You get my point? I unpacked my boxes and put my books and journals and clothes all were they needed to go. (I wasn't going to write 3 paragraphs about where I put my shit, what good what that do for you?)
I sighed as I flopped down on my bed and looked around, computer? I wonder if I have internet, I stood up and shuffled over to the desk chair and sat down, finding the power button and holding it down. The screened turned blue, and I had to wait a good 2 minutes for the computer to fully come up. I grabbed the wireless mouse and clicked on the Internet Explore icon. Sure enough, the Yahoo page came up. Score!
I quickly pulled the keyboard towards me and typed in Myspace. Yes, I have a myspace. I typed in my email and password and clicked login. It wasn't the fastest computer, but just having a computer in here was a huge bonus. As the page loaded, it showed I had new comments, messages, Image comments, and new birthdays. I saw my comments were from old classmates telling me how they already missed me and messages from Tyler telling me to call him tomorrow. And the image comment I didn't really care about, but it showed that Jamie's birthday was in a few days. I'll send her a nice email later to make up for not getting a gift before I left.
I answered everything and then went up to the search-bar again and went back to Yahoo and checked my email. I only had junk mail which I deleted, I sighed deeply and looked at the clock. It was only 8:45, but then again today seemed really long from meeting new people and friends, and that long ass plane ride. Maybe I'll just go chill with the boys for a little bit and the catch some sleep.
Yeah; here I come boys.
You take my breath away...
