The rain wasn't letting up. It was still there, outside. If anything, it had picked up immensely, pounding at the windows just waiting for the chance to pelt me with it. The clouds wouldn't go away, the darkness that I was now enveloped in wasn't going away.

The grey, colorless world had become a cold place with no color.

I was lost.

Laying on my bed, I was unmoving, staring up at my ceiling. The thunder rumbled outside and through my blinds I saw lightning flash ominously.

I needed to see him.

It had been three days since I last saw him, running out of the cathedral in Ireland, and the shocked, hurt look on his face.

I had done nothing since visiting Fred's grave.

I needed to see him.

I needed to tell him.

---

Diagon Alley was dark. There wasn't a soul around. The rain was pounding around me, the wind howling, the thunder rumbling. I didn't bother to apparate; I savored running through the rain before I saw him.

Coming upon Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes I noticed his light was on above in his apartment.

The thunder rumbled again.

Trudging right up to his door, I knocked without even thinking. I didn't hear anything except the wind and rain. Then the door opened.

At first I couldn't say anything. I just stared at him. His hair was matted and standing up on end like he had run his hands through it too much. His eyes had shadows underneath them like he hadn't slept in days; he looked exhausted. As soon as he saw me, though, shock crossed his face.

"Em?" he asked softly. I looked down at the ground before glancing up at him painfully.
"Can I come in?" I whispered. He nodded slowly and held the door open for me. I didn't look at him again, but fidgeted with the bottom of my soaked shirt. It felt warm in his quaint apartment; I could feel him gazing at me intently.

"I...erm..." was all I could think to say. I had not really thought of what I would say to him once I saw him. I felt George move closer to me. He cupped my chin the way he did many times before and titled my face upward towards his. My heart almost broke when I saw how much forgiveness there was in his eyes.

"I'm sorry," I whispered. "I'm so incredibly stupid." I looked away again and he dropped his hand still staring at me, waiting patiently for me to say something.

"I want you," I spat out before I could stop myself. "I want you and up until a few days ago, I wasn't ready to admit that, but I want you, I love you, and...I'm just so stupid. I didn't understand, and I didn't know why I didn't understand and I figured that everyone just ran away from what they didn't...understand...I'm so sorry...Could you-could you ever f-forgive me?" I looked back up at him; he was smiling and watching me intently.
"Oh, Em. Of course I can forgive you. I will always be able to forgive you. And--"
"Wait," I cut him off once more. "I need to say this. I want to marry you. I do. I want you and I want you every day for the rest of my life. I want to grow old with you and--"

Before I could finish, he was kissing me. Kissing me like never before; like nothing else mattered.

"That is the best thing I've heard all day," he whispered when we broke apart. "I love you and I want you too, and I want to live to be 100 years old with you."
I nodded unable to keep from smiling, truly smiling. "You came back for me, to Ireland, and...And I came back for you."

The next moment, he picked me up bridal style and carried me into his bedroom, kissing me. I giggled merrily as he attempted to pry off my sopping wet clothes.

As I was pulled under blissfully, I thought I saw the sky brighten up briefly through the clouds.

If I don't say this now I will surely break as I'm leaving the one I want to take
