Here is the A Lack of Color "official" soundtrack. This one, unlike NL4LAH was easier to make one for because there are only 20 parts, so I just had one song for each part. There won't be much of an explanation because it's probably self-explanatory for each part but here it is!! Feedback is always welcome!!
Enjoy!
1. Come Home by One Republic
This is for Part One. It's good explaining how Emily's feeling because of the funeral and all.
2. Keep Breathing by Ingrid Michaelson
This is for Part Two.
3. Thank U by Alanis Morissette
This is for Part Three.
4. Let It Rain by Paramore
This is for Part Four.
5. How Does It Feel by Eskimo Joe
This is for Part Five. This is good for when George and Emily are kind of bonding more and trying to get over their grief.
6. Sunday Best by Augustana
This is for Part Six.
7. Luv by Travis
This is for Part Seven.
8. Someday by John Legend
This is for Part Eight. This is when Emily is leaving and she's thinking maybe it could work...someday...
9. Soul Meets Body by Death Cab for Cutie
This is for Part Nine. When Emily is back at her childhood home, she's feeling slightly comforted by the familiar faces and all that.
10. Wasteland by Augustana
This is for Part Ten. George came to find Emily and she's slightly happy about it though doesn't exactly know how she feels about it.
11. The Conversation by Motion City Soundtrack
This is for Part Eleven. This is for more towards the end of the part when George and Emily are talking in the dark after her family finds out, but it's good as background music to it.
12. Trust Me by The Fray
This is for Part Twelve.
13. Forever Young by Youth Group
This is for Part Thirteen. I thought this was perfect for when Emily's getting ready for the party and then George asks her to dance -- like this would be something they would dance to, or something -- and things go from there: they leave, go back to the house, and she tells him she loves him for the first time.
14. Falling Away With You by Muse
This is for Part Fourteen. This would be to explain how Emily's falling quickly -- like, I can picture her and George walking down in the village shopping and browsing while this song plays in the background, you know?
15. How We Breathe by Pinback
This is for Part Fifteen. When Emily goes into The Clover to meet up with Sean, she's uneasy, and this song seems like it would be playing when she's uneasy around him and listening to what rubbish he has to say.
16. A Lack of Color by Death Cab for Cutie
This is for Part Sixteen. Of course the title song it in here; it only makes sense. George is beginning to see how Emily's sinking back into that quiet depression she was in when they started seeing each other a few weeks before and he's trying to ask her about it, and she's saying she's fine, but he knows better.
17. Coffee & Cigarettes by Michelle Featherstone
This is for Part Seventeen. This is when they're in the cathedral and Emily's trying to find out why she's feeling like this again when she wants George and loves him like she does.
This is for Part Eighteen. Kind of self explanatory. Emily visits Fred's grave and is trying to get him to answer in some way to tell her that she shouldn't marry George. But she knows he would only want her to be happy which she can't bring herself to accept. She finally just has to let go. It's perfect.
19. Work by Jimmy Eat World
This is for Part Nineteen. Emily goes to see George and apologizes for how stupid she was being and how she wants to spend the rest of her life with him if only he would forgive her and take her back. He says of course he would forgive her and take her back. I love this song and think it's great for this part.
This is for Part Twenty. This is kind of a happy, feel-good song, perfect for the ending of this series. Some days will be hard, but otherwise, Emily's finally happy with George and the color has come back into her life.
Let me know what you all thought! Hope you enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed making it!
