Love Is A Crazy Ride [Jonas Brothers Love Story] (Chapter seven)
*Hope's dream*
I'm walking in the woods, ducking under branches that jetted out on to a path that you could tell hadn't been traveled on very much. After a little while, the trees grew farther and farther apart. Up ahead, I saw a pond with sparkling water and green grass all around. As I stepped out of the woods and into the meadow, I saw two people lying down on the grass. Thinking that I was invading someone's secret spot, I turned to leave. Then I heard that giggle. The giggle that's been haunting me since freshman year.
I turned around and stepped closer. Yep, that was Joy alright. And she was on top of some guy, no suprise there [me~they were both fully clothed, btw. They were just snogging...he, I love that word!]. But as I moved closer, the guy started to look familiar. Then it struck me.
"Joe Jonas?!" I said, exasperated
Joy and Joe stopped. Joy looked up. "Well, look who it is? Why it's Hope Richardson. What do you want? You need some place to puke?" she said in a nasty tone. She started to laugh, and Joe joined in, just as harsh of laugh as Joy.
"How could you, Joe?" I asked him
Joe then disappeared and Joy stood up. "Why? You think Joe wouldn't like me? Let me tell you, I'm sure he doesn't like the taste of stomach acid!" she said
"Really? I figured he'd like that better than the spit of about 50 guys that swirls around in your mouth!" I retorted
Joy scoffed and the scene went blank.
*Grace's dream*
I'm sitting in a dimly lit room on a rather uncomfortable wooden chair. All of a sudden, a movie starts playing on the wall. I saw a 7-year-old girl playing with her dolls. But in the backround was a totally different story. There was a man beating a woman.
I gasped. My dad beating my mom...
The scene changed into my 10th birthday party. I had invited a few friends over for a sleepover. My mom was really hesitate to allow that, and I didn't understand why at the time. But my dad came into the picture, carrying a tray of juice boxes with a big smile on his face.
"Here you go girls!" he said cheerfully. He then bent down and kissed me on the top of my head...That's the way he always acted in front of company.
That scene faded and turned into the first time I got it. I was 14 years old and I came home after curfew. My dad was waiting for me in his recliner. As I closed the door, he stood up and walked over to me.
"Why are you late? Your mother and I agreed that you be home by 9:30pm. It's 10pm!" he said, placing a firm grip on my shoulder and leading me over to the couch.
He forcefully pushed me onto the couch. He then grabbed a chair and sat in front of me. He stared into my eyes for about 2 minutes, then SMACK!!!! His hand collided with my cheek. I let out a small yelp. My face was in the couch, but my ears could hear my mom rushing down the stairs.
"No! Do NOT start this with her!" she said
But that didn't do anything. He smacked her across the face so hard that she almost flew across the room.
My eyes burned with tears as I watched this terrible replay of my life.
Then it went to the day he changed from hand, to leather belt. As I painfully heard the cries of my mother and I, I felt the scars on my back searring with pain. My face was in my hands Tears were falling from my eyes.
Then suddenly, it was silence. I looked up at the movie, and burst out crying. There on the screen, was my mothers dead body...
Then everything went black.
*Faith's dream*
Again, I was walking down a dimly lit hallway with checkered tile floors. This is the third time I've had this dream. I saw, again, the light underneath the door. I hurried my step, but the usual music wasn't playing. I stopped outside the door and put my ear against it.
There was a guitar, most definitely, playing an intro to a song I knew oh so well.
"They come and go
But they don't know
That you are my beautiful
I try to come
Closer with you
But they all say we won't make it through
But I'll be there forever
You will see that it's better
All our hopes and our dreams
Will come true
I will not disappoint you
I will be right there for you
Till the end, the end of time
Please be mine"
I threw open the door, but there was no one there, and the music stopped instantly. 'What?' I said to myself. I looked around, but no one was there. "Hello?" I asked. No answer.
*Third person*
Grace was the first to wake up. When she did, she had tears on her face. 'I'm not suprised,' she said to herself. Faith woke up next. In a startled sort of way, actually.
"You okay?" Grace asked
Faith nodded. "Yeah," she said and then stretched
Hope was next to wake up. She was always a peaceful waker-uper [me~yes! that's a word!].
Ding! The seat belt light went on and the captain came over the intercom: "PLEASE FASTEN YOUR SEAT BELTS, WE ARE PREPARING TO LAND. AGAIN, PLEASE FASTEN YOU SEAT BELTS, WE ARE PREPARING TO LAND"
Grace, Hope, and Faith looked out the window and the bright city of New York below. Then they looked at eachother, smiled, and sang, "Jonas Bros, here we come!!"
