AUDREY'S POV
-~-*-~-
"So would you like to see our room?"
"Yeah, that would be - wait, our room, as in both of us, and one room?" This could turn from just weird to creepy.
"Well, my parents thought it would be a good idea, bonding and all that, so, um...yeah."
"Let me see it then." I could not believe that we were expected to sleep in the same room. The same bed. I would be sleeping with a stranger. Wow.
Damien took me up a flight of stairs and then went to a door at the very back of the hallway. He opened it, and then stood aside to let me walk through. I walked into what I guessed was a sitting area. It was beautiful.
"You have got to be kidding me. This is awesome!"
"Glad you like it. The bedroom is through here," he said, going to a door on the left. He still talked to me like I was a business associate rather than his fiance. I walked through the door, and again, it was beautiful, but simple.
"Wow."
"The bathroom is through the sitting room." I ran past him like a little kid in a candy store, through the sitting room, and opened a door.
"Oh. My. God."
The bathroom was gorgeous. I can't believe I get to live here. Marrying him might be worth it. I walked back into the bedroom to see him looking out his window. His head popped back up when he heard me approach.
"Um...if we want to get to the mall in time to buy everything you need, we had better start to unpack." His business only attitude was starting to annoy me now.
"Okay. This box is all CDs. They can go wherever, just find a spot," I said. He nodded and put the CDs on an empty shelf in the bookcase. He was silent while doing that.
I started to unpack my bookbag. He was still silent. "So what music do you listen to?"
"I don't."
"None? Not even one group?"
"Nope." It must be a sad, sad world he lives in. A beautiful one, but sad nonetheless.
"I have much to teach you, Damien."
"Okay."
By now, I wanted to slap his business act away. It gets annoying. Fast.
"So you have never heard Fall out Boy?"
"No."
"Brad Paisley?"
"No."
"Finger Eleven?"
"No."
"Linkin Park?"
"No."
"Beetoven?!?" I was frustrated when I said this, I mean seriously - he knows no music.
"Yes, actually."
"Wow. You have no taste in music."
"Well, Beetoven was a great composer and his -" he stopped when he saw that I was staring at him with a 'you must be from Mars' look on my face. "Well he is!"
"We have so much work to do. Do you have a computer?"
"My laptop is on the table in the sitting room. What do you want it for?"
"All computers have built in CD players."
"Okay..."
"We will start with the best band ever."
"Which is?"
I shook my head sadly before I answered the question. "Bullet for My Valentine. Duh."
He searched the shelf and then the CDs still in the box until he found the right band, then he handed it to me with his 'you must be from Mars' look. It was nowhere as good as mine. But he was starting to loosen up a little.
'Once more I'll say goodbye to you,
Things happen but we dont really know why,
If it's supposed to be like this why do most of us ignore the chance to miss?
Oh yeah
Torn apart at the seams and my dreams turn to tears,
I'm not feeling this situation,
Run away try to find that safe place you can hide...'
I loved this song, so I forgot about Damien and started to sing with it.
yea,
All these things I hate revolve around me,
yeah,
Just back up before I snap
Once more you tell those lies to me,
Why cant you just be straight up with honesty?
When you say those things in my ear,
Why do you always tell me what you wanna hear?"
"Wow," he said.
"What?" I said, startled at the sound of his voice, because I forgot he was there, and I forgot I was getting married; I forgot everything.
"You are a great singer." I don't ever let anyone listen to me sing, it's like my art - it's for me.
"Am not."
"Oh yes you are."
"Whatever."
"Are you ready to go shopping now?" He had his business act on again.
"Yeah. Let's go." Grr. I'm not some business partner!

Picture it about five times bigger. I imagined it with a wall of built-in bookcases too.
I want this bathroom!!!
