Five weeks.
Five weeks since Eliza and Elli moved into the apartment.
Five weeks of battling against relentless feelings.
Five weeks of Elli playing that tape every waking moment.
Five weeks of working in the very place that started it all.
Five weeks of wondering if she had made the right decision.
Eliza stumbled into the apartment tiredly, it had been another busy day at Luigi's and she was completely worn. She threw her bag and keys onto the kitchen bench as she passed and collapsed onto the plush magenta lounge she had bought by Elli's request. She closed her eyes and kicked off her black heels as her aching back sank deep into bouncy foam. It wasn't very often of late that she had a moment to herself, but as Linda had asked if she could take Elli out Eliza was all too keen to oblige.
Eliza rolled onto her side and stared blankly at the black television screen which was reflecting her slumped form in its depths. The nightly phone calls to Frank and Mikey had been dwindling somewhat of late, and even though Eliza knew that it was because of their schedule and the problems that kept erupting between the once tight knit group, she couldnt help but feel neglected and lonelier than ever. Every night she played back the hours that led up to her decision to leave the tour and every night her fists would bunch and she would force her face into the pillow, screaming at her stupidity.
Fighting her demons head on was failing miserably, her yearning for not just her friends but the one person she was trying so desperately to get over was growing ever more. Even though she knew that that part of her life was over and there was no hope left there, she couldn't help but slip into daydreams where he strode in through the door and proclaimed his undying love for her. Fairytales are for naive children.
Eliza pushed herself up from the couch and ambled over into the kitchen, pulling open the fridge and taking out the bottle of orange juice in the door. She put the bottle on the bench and went in search for a clean cup; she was on the verge of pouring the juice into the glass cylinder when a knock came at the door. Eliza sighed and put the bottle down, rubbing her hands over her face tiredly before she made her way towards the door where no doubt Elli and Linda were waiting.
She pulled the handle and stepped to the side, waiting to Elli to run in excitedly and for Linda to follow behind chuckling. When no one stepped in though Eliza furrowed her brow and peered around the door, jumping in shock when she saw who was on the other side standing in confusion as to why Eliza seemed to invite strangers in without even acknowledging them.
"Do you always let people in your house without saying hello?" Mikey asked with a grin as he leant casually against the door frame, a backpack was thrown over his shoulder with what looked like a sleeping bag attached.
"I was expecting someone else," Eliza replied, mimicking Mikeys grin. Frank stepped in front of Mikey and threw his arms around her, squeezing her already aching body as tightly as he could.
"I was meant to say trick or treat but you ruined it," Frank said as he pulled back and pushed past her into the apartment, throwing his backpack that looked the same as Mikey's bar a blue ribbon onto the floor.
"Halloween isn't until next week," Eliza informed him knowingly as Mikey stepped forward and hugged her as well before following Frank's actions. Eliza closed the door and watched as the two unexpected guests crashed onto her couch and smiled deludedly up at her as if waiting for something. Eliza cleared her throat and shuffled further into the room, unsure of what to say without seeming rude.
"So..." she attempted as she began to rock back and forth on the balls of her feet.
"You want to know why we're here?" Frank asked, though it came out like more of a statement.
"That would be nice," Eliza answered with a laugh as Frank patted the couch next to him. Eliza crossed the room and sat in between the two comfortably, waiting for an explanation to this little visit, not that she didn't want them there or anything, she was just really surprised was all. Frank adjusted his position on the couch so he was facing her better and clasped his hands together.
"Well you know how I've been telling you on the phone about the fights that keep breaking out with Matt?" Frank asked, Eliza nodded to signal she did and for him to continue. "Well they kind of completely blew up two days ago and he's officially not a member of My Chemical Romance anymore," Frank finished with a sigh. Eliza gasped slightly and turned to Mikey for conformation that it was true; he nodded sadly to indicate that it was.
"But what are you guys going to do now?" she asked in shock, still trying to process the news. She never really had much to do with Matt, given, but she knew that he was still an integral part of the band and once was obviously close friends with the guys.
"Well Ray and Gerard are up in New York with Brian sorting that out, we might have someone in mind who we worked with on a couple of the tours we did for the last album but yeh..." Mikey sighed; Eliza nodded and turned back to Frank.
"So how come you guys aren't up there as well?" she questioned, earning a grin that passed between the two boys.
"Well we wanted to see you of course, there's not much we can do but sit around feeling sorry for ourselves up there anyways," Frank replied as he poked her shoulder lightly. She brushed him off and nudged him in the side as she stood up, mentally deciding to go and get that glass of juice she was planning on devouring before.
"So how long are you staying then?" she asked as she made her way over to the kitchen.
"Don't know, depends on how long it takes to organise a drummer I suppose," Mikey replied as he too stood up and made his way towards her, stopping half way though when a knock came at the front door. Eliza put the juice bottle down that she had only just picked up and looked between the boys and the door, knowing full well what was probably about to happen. She silently strode towards the front door and pulled it open, stepping aside as a small figure bolted through the door as always.
But unlike normal she didn't run into her room or over to the television, this time she stopped suddenly and stared in shock at the two visitors.
Rest In Results.

"UNCLE FRANKIE AND UNCLE MIKEY!" she screamed in excitement.
