There he was sitting in the corner with a beer in hand, minding his own business as a party raged on around him. I had seen him around plenty of times, and the fact that I was a Penguins fan helped a bit. He looked so alone, his brown eyes holding sadness. His brown hair, which was getting quite long, hung in his eyes. His lips forced themselves into a smile as one of his teammates told him something, inaudible to my ears. A while later, his head turned in my general direction, and his eyes fell upon mine. I held his gaze for a couple of seconds before being interrupted.

"Earth to Casey." I heard from my side. I looked over at my cousin Colby. His face held an expression of amusement.

"What, Colby?" I snapped. I really didn't mean to, and he understood that.

"Sorry, Case. So I see you checking out Geno over there." He motioned towards the lonely boy. "You should go talk to him."

"I was not checking him out. I was just intrigued by how calm he could be in this madness."
I made a disgusted face as a couple drunkly stumbled passed me.

"Mmhm. Right. Still, you should go talk to him. He looks a little lonely over there." He looked over at the boy again, and I looked back too. I felt bad in an instant.

"You know what? I think I will go talk to him." I said as I got up from the chair I was currently sitting in. I made my way through the sea of people and ended up right in front of him. "Is this seat taken?" I motioned to the chair next to him.

At first he looked confused, but he answered with no problem. "No."

"Can I sit there?"
I asked.

"Sure." He replied. I took a seat, but he just turned to look back at the party.

"Hi. I'm Casey." I tried. He turned to face me, the sadness still in his eyes.

"I'm Evgeni. Call me Geno." I then noticed the thick, Russian accent.

"So, Geno, You played well today. Nice goal by the way." I really didn't know what to say. I just couldn't think.

"Thank you." Was all I got from him. Although, his eyes did twinkle with happiness for a second. We kept up a simple conversation. Just getting to know each other. Nothing too personal came up. He was a very nice guy, and the fact that he was pleasing to the eyes did help. His eyes no longer held so much sadness. In the hour that we talked, I had gotten him to crack a couple of smiles.

"Hey, you wanna go for a walk or something?" I asked. The party was getting a little too rowdy for my liking. It wasn't that I didn't like parties; I just wasn't in the mood today.

"Mmm, yeah. A walk sounds good." He replied in that Russian accent that I've grown to like. So we headed for the door. I didn't realize how cold it was until we started to actually walk. Geno looked down at me. "Are you cold?"

"A little bit."
I shivered. He let out a small chuckle.

"You know, you're really cute when you're cold." He smiled. "And as much as I'd love to give you a jacket, I don't have one. Although, I do know one way that could keep you warm."

"And what is that?"
I questioned with a raised eyebrow. He simply wrapped his arm around me, pulling me into his body. Even though his touch sent a chill down my spine, I had to admit, it did help a bit. "Thanks." I mumbled.

"No problem. So, where exactly are we walking to?"

"Mmm...THE PARK!"
I exclaimed with the biggest smile plastered on my face. He just laughed as we continued our walk to the park. We got there within five minutes, and I headed to the swings. I sat on one as he stood in front of me. Since the swings were so high, by the time I got up, I was almost eye level with him. I started to pout. "I'm cold again. Geno, come warm me up."

"Ha, fine."
He wrapped his arms around me, sending another chill down my spine. I ignored it and rested my head on his shoulder.

"Geno?" I asked. He nodded, and I took it as a sign to continue. "Has anyone ever told you that you have the most amazing eyes ever?"

"Not that I can recall. Has anyone ever told you that you make the cutest faces when you're cold?"
He asked with a smile. His smile was so cute, I couldn't help myself.

"No. You look really cute when you smile." I blushed.

"Thanks." He chuckled. I pulled my head off of his shoulder and looked him in the eyes. This boy was one of the kindest people I have ever met, and I knew that I was starting to crush on him. I shook my head as my thoughts were interrupted. "Why are you staring me like that?"

"Like what?"
I asked, acting dumb. He raised an eyebrow.

"I don't know. You were just staring at me." He chuckled lightly.

"Oh, sorry. You're just, I don't know, you're gorgeous." I admitted.

"Did you just call me gorgeous?" He asked with a hint of amusement in his voice. I blushed.

"Maybe." I said looking away.

"You're so cute." He surprised me, and I turned my head to look at him. He looked me in the eyes, and his face began to get closer to mine. Before I knew it his lips were on mine, kissing me. At first I was surprised, but then I started kissing him back. I ran my hands through his thick, brown hair.

"Wow." I whispered when we broke apart. No other words had come to mind. That was all I could get out. Geno just looked at me with a smile on his face.

"Casey, you're a really amazing girl, you know that?" He looked completely serious. I couldn't help but believe him.

"You know, you're amazing too Geno? I've never met someone and just clicked with them right away, like I did with you." I smiled up at him. He planted a small kiss on my forehead and I kissed his chin. I pushed him away a little and hopped off the swing. I grabbed his hand and led him to the grass. I started to sit on the ground.

"What are you doing, Case?" Geno gave me an amused look.

"We're gonna look up at the stars." I looked up at him, innocence written all over my face. He just laughed and sat down with me. He laid down first, and I followed, resting my head on his chest. We spent about an hour pointing at random stars before I got a text.

'Where are you? Are you ready to go?'

"Hey Geno, I think we should get going. I think Colbs wants to leave." I started to get up. He pulled me back on top of him.

"Can I get a kiss first?" He asked innocently. I laughed and obliged. I kissed him softly at first, but it started to heat up. His tongue began to roam my mouth, and I let out a small moan. I broke the kiss, but left my lips on his.

"Let's go before Colby gets too worried." I said, kissing him again.

"Ugh. Fine." He kissed my again, and we began to get up. I texted Colby a quick reply, and we started walking back.

"Casey? Can I see you again sometime?" Geno asked nervously as we walked hand in hand.

"I'd like that." I smiled up at him. We exchanged numbers quickly before continuing our walk. We got back to the house and Colby was already waiting outside. He smirked when he saw our hand laced.

"I'll just go start the car. Don't take to long." He laughed as he walked off.

"I had fun today." I said as I wrapped my arms around Geno's neck.

"I did too." He snaked his arms around my waist. "I'll call you tomorrow."

"Kay. Well I should get going."
I said as I leaned in to kiss him. We stood there making out in a random front yard for what felt like years. It only lasted about 5 minutes though.

"Bye, Case." He whispered.

"Bye, Geno." I whispered back. He gave me one last hug before I pulled away. I started to walk away, but he called after me. I turned to look at him, and he ran up to me. He kissed me one last time, sending chills down my spine. He pulled away and I couldn't help but laugh.

"You could have just asked for another kiss." I said as he blushed.

"Yeah, but it wouldn't have been as dramatic." He laughed. I laughed to as we said our good-byes and headed our separate ways.
