I stood in front of my locker, turning the combination lock to the numbers which opened it as somebody 'bumped' into me. I turned around to see Him, Alex staring at me, a funny expression on his face. My face flushed as I forgot that someone had ran into me, and I immediately spun around facing my locker. I quickly shuffled books around, removing some from my messenger bag and placing some in it. I quickly shut my locker before quickly walking away.
There was something about that kid. The cute and overly adorable guy who could make any girl swoon. His smile wasn't flat, or straight-it was tilted and adorable. His hair swept off to the side-not over his eyes like most guys like him. He was flirtatious and a joking kind of guy who could make anyone laugh, and I was completely crushing on him.
Being near him sent me into nervous shock. Meeting his eyes frightened me, sending me into panicked fear. I was afraid he knew that I liked him, and I was afraid of being mocked-as everyone who knew me, did.
I sit in the back of my English classroom, doodling bubble words and child-like stick figures over the page of notes I wasn't writing. As usual I spent the entire class doodling, for I already knew everything that teacher was saying. The bell rang, and I put my notebook and felt pen back into my messenger bag, as I stood up to leave.
As I walked towards my locker, to put my unneeded books back into my locker, somebody tapped me on the shoulder. I turned around to look into dark, chocolaty eyes. I inhaled sharply as I had nothing to say.
"You're Sarah, right?" he asked me as I stared at Alex with a most-likely shocked expression
"Yeah, I am," I said nervously.
"I'm Alex," he told me.
"Yeah, I know who you are," I said, smiling. Confidence I didn't know I had came to me as my nervousness was lost.
"Ah, cool," he said, "You know, I like you a lot. That may sound a bit odd, saying as we haven't talked since we were in middle school, but, I do like you a lot."
"Really?" I asked, shocked as he nodded at me. "I really like you a lot too..." I said, smiling.
"That's awesome... I was wondering if you'd like to go out sometime," he asked.
"I'd love to," I smiled.
Maybe it will work out with Alex, because if he's waited as long as I have for him, then I must be pretty special. He chose me over every other girl that is better than me, and that means a lot to me. I smiled, focusing on only the here and now.
Hope you liked the cliche-ness =] Haha
