The Alchemic Prince and the Theif (Edward Elric love story) chapter 1

*~Kaitlyn's (your) P.O.V.~*
*****dream*****
You were standing in the middle of the air with two little kids running far down below you. There was a girl who was 10 and a boy around 5. They seemed scared tears were streaming down their faces. Then, you realized it was the night when... "it" happened...
here's the girl
and here's the boy
"Hurry Jake! We need to get out of here before he catches us!" the girl was shouting over her shoulder at her 5 year old brother.
"But Katie!" the little boy, Jacob, was shouting. "What about Mom and Dad!?"
"Jake, didn't you see them!? They were lying on the floor with that huge puddle of blood under them!!! they're dead!!! I'm sorry Jake, but i can't bring them back from the dead!!! I'M NOT A GOD!!!" the girl shouted with tears pouring from her eyes like rain. "And if we don't get out of here now, we'll end up just like them!!!"
Next thing you knew, everything faded into blackness. There was nothing there but you. Then you heard a dark voice whisperingin your ear.
"If you're trying to get away from me," the dark voive evily whispered, "why aren't you running now?"
you felt your heart racing, and then saw something shiny in the hand of whoever was whispering to you, and it came at a very fast speed towards your thraot. You screaed in fear, thinking that "he" found you, and was now killing you, just as he had killed your parents.
*****end of dream*****
You immediately shot open your eyes and sat up, panting heavily. You were covered in cold sweat, but you were thankful that what just happened was all a dream.
"Kaitlyn, are you all right?" you heard a calm voice asked you.
You looked over to the source of the voice and saw a wolf with brown fur and black markings around his eyes lying down next to your sleeping bag. This was Fang, a wolf who decided to stick around with you forever after you saved his life. You sighed and looked at his golden eyes, and then scratched him behind his ears.
"Yes, Fang, I'm fine." you answered, smiling down at him. "I just had a bad dream, that's all... So, Fang, how much farther is the closest town, and what is it called?"
"Let me check." he answered. He walked over to your bag and pulled out the map with his mouth, and opened it in front of you. Then, he put his paw on a poart of the map. "Here's the next stop for us. And it looks like it won't take us too long."
"Hmm..." you read the name of the place in your head and smiled. "I've heard a bit of that place. A large castle is in there, so that must mean that there's a royal family there... so that means that there might be a prince..." you said that last word with bitterness in your voice.
"Kaitlyn, you have to realize not all princes are like that."
"I know, Fang, I know... So I'm going to get dressed, so if you don't mind Fang..."
"I know, I'm out of here."
He walked out of tent you were in and you saw his shadow on the tent from the morning sun and saw he was lying down as you got dressed. You put on a black tank top and black pants and pulled your brown boots on. Before you got out, you grabbed your tan cloak and put it on over your other clothes. You walked outside and Fang pricked his head up.
"Well, let's go ahead and see if we can get some breakfast." you said to him.
You clapped your hands together and placed them on the ground, and a bright flash came up. When the bright flash went away, you had a bow and arrows in your hands. You looked at Fang and nodded your head. He nodded back, then let out a very loud bark. As soon as he did that, a lot of birds flew up into the sky and you quickly set and arrow into your bow. You took careful aim at one and fired the arrow, and the arrow struck it. you quickly loaded another one, aimed, and fired another arrow and hit another bird. You and Fang walked up to the two dead birds and grabbed them. You walked back towards your campsite and tried to start a fire. Soon, you got a spark and the twigs slowly began to become engulfed in flames.
"I still can't believe i have to do this to survive..." you complained watching the fire grow and prepared to cook the birds.
"Hey, there were a lot less birds than usual." Fang replied. "Be thankful you got anything to eat at all."
"I guess you have a point... I just wonder when i'll get another decent meal that doesn't involve me hunting it first."
"Well, hopefully we'll get lucky at our next stop."
"Yeah, I hope..." You pulled the map out and looked at your next destination. "Yep. Next stop is..."

*~Edward's P.O.V.*~
You were walking through Jade Forest with your bag slung over your shoulder. You were very excited and a large grin was on your face.
"There are fewer trees now... Not mucl onger now!" you said to yourself excitedly.
You ran out of the forest as fast as you could and ended up in a field. You spotted a certain hill and ran up it. As soon as you were at the top of the hill, you wiped the sweat off of your forehead, and then shieled your eyes from the sun and looked off into the distance. Not too far away was a large town with a castle. The grin on your face grew wider as you stared at the down. This was a place you haven't been to for four whole years. It was your home: the Kingdom of Meyalch.
"Heh... the Kingdom of Meyalch... It's been four long years since I've been here. I bet everyone well be suprised to see me here at home. Kingdom of Meyalch, Edward Elric has returned!" you shouted at the sky with excitement.
You raced down the hill and started heading for the town. As soon as you got close to the town, you saw two guards standing outside the gate leading into the town. You recognized them as Falman and Breda, two of the guardsmen at Meyalch. You ran up to them, and right as you did that, Falman noticed you, and had a shocked expression on his face. He was about to say hello to you, but Breda, who was leaning against the wall with his eyes closed, only heard you coming, but didn't know it was you.
"State your name and reason for being here..." Breda said to you in a tired tone of voice.
"Hey, Breda, I thought you'd be more excited to see me, but you sound like you're about to fall asleep any moment now! I didn't think my return would be that boring!" you said to him, somewhat laughing. Breda's eyes immediately shot open and he stred in shock at you.
"E-Edward? I-is it really you!?" Breda asked in a shocked tone of voice.
"That's more like it!" you answered with a big grin.
"Man, it's been forever since I saw you!"
"Technically, it's only been four years." Falman stated. "But yes, it does feel like it's been forever!"
"Welcome home, Edward!"
"It's great to see you two again!" you said to them before walking into town.
The town seemed to be as busy as you remembered it. But as you walked through town, things started to slow down. Quite a few people were sstaring at you in shock or disbelief. But they all realized that it really wasyou back home, and the whole town seemed to be happier to see you back after four years. A lot of people happily welcomed you back home or gave you a high five, and a few little kids would run up to you and hug you.
"Well, not much has changed since i left, huh? Well, i guess I better hurry and go see--" You were cut short by some commotion in town.
"Theif!" one of the townsfolk shouted.
"What the hell!?" you said to no one in particular.
You quickly turned around in the direction the shouting had come from, and two figures suddenly ran right past you at very high speed. They ran so fast, you couldn't see their faces, but you could tell that one was a person, and the other one was a dog. And then, a few guards ran past you, and you recognized one of them as Havoc, another one of the guards here at Meyalch. You ran quickly towards the group and caught up to Havoc.
"Hey, Havoc!" Long time, no see!" you said to him while running right next to him. Havoc looked at you and smiled.
"Hey, kiddo! It has been a while!" Havoc happily stated. "I was starting to wonder when you'd come home!"
"Well, I'm home now! It's great to see you again."
"Oh, so you say hello to Havoc, but you say nothing to me?" a voice stated from the other side of you. "Yeah, that's real nice, Edo!"
You looked over and saw a girl with long blonde hair and sapphire blue eyes. You recognized it as a friend of yours, Rachel Mistalchem.
"Oh, Hey, Ray! I didn't see you there. Sorry." you appologized.
"It's okay, Edo! After all, you did just come home, and i knew i was going to get a hello from you sooner or later!" she happily replied with a big smile on her face.
"So, I take it the two of you heard about the thief." Havoc stated, now focusing back on what he was doing.
"Yeah, i heard the comotion on my way back from Winry's" Rachel answered.
"Anything I can do to help?" you asked.
"Well, you are an alchemist, and it'd be nice to have a little extra help." Havoc answered.
"There they go!" Rachel pointed out.
"Looks like they're heading down that alley! Let's go, Ray!" you shouted over your shoulder.
Rachel followed you down the alley and you saw the two figures running. Rachel looked like she was about to clap her hands together and perform alchemy, but you beat her to it. You clapped your hands and placed them on the ground.

~*Kaitlyn's (your) P.O.V.*~
"Sheesh, I don't see what the big deal is over stealing a loaf of bread is!" you shouted while running.
"Maybe it's the fact that you stole it." Fang calmly said, with emphasis on the "stole".
"Well, I don't really have the money to pay for it, now do I?" you replied. Suddenly, a large wall cut you off in the alley you were running down. "Well, well, well. Looks like we have an alchemist on our tails, Fang."
"It would appear so..."
"Let's show 'em what we're made of, Fang!"
"Right!"
Fang turned himself into a falcon and flew over the wall, while you clapped your hands together and placed them on the wall. After a flash from alchemy, there was a hole in the wall and you ran through it.
"Too bad for them, I'm an alchemist too!"

~*Edward's P.O.V.*~
"The thief is an alchemist!?" you yelled in disbelief.
"I'm more shocked about the dog! It turned into a freakin' falcon for crying out loud!" Rachel shouted.
"Any plans on what to do now?"
"Yeah. You go down the alley after the theif, and I'll lead Havoc and the others to the other side of where the alley leads. There are plenty of us to corner them. Good luck, Edo!"
Rachel ran off towards Havoc and you ran down the alley. Then a bright flash appeared and the hole was gone. The thief just fixed up the hole. You were about to transmute the wall down, until a thought occured to you: maybe there was a trap waiting on the other side. So instead, you transmuted a ladder on the wall right next to you and climed up to the rooftops. You looked down and saw that there was a trap waiting for you, so you were thankful that you didn't transmute the wall away. You ran across the rooftops looking down the alley for the theif. You eventually spotted her and tried thinking of a plan to catch her and the dog. You then decided to transmute cages and drop them on the two of them. You transmuted the first one and dropped it on the dog, successfully capturing it. The theif turned around, obviously shocked that her dog was captured. You used that to your advantage and transmuted a cage and tried to catch the thief.The theif suddenly backflipped away, so you didn't catch her. But before she got away, you jumped down from the rooftops and landed behind her. She turned around, obviously hearing you land behind her.

~*Kaitlyn's (your) P.O.V.*~
You turned after hearing something catch Fang. Then, you saw a shadow above you, and quickly backflipped away.
'That was a close one...' you thought.
Suddenly, you heard something land behind you and turned around. Next thing you knew, you were pushed to the ground and hit the ground with a loud thud. You felt pressure around your waist and on your shoulders, and you also felt warm breath on your face and you heard someone panting.
"You and your dog are both stuck now..." the person said while panting. "You may as well give up..." You smirked, accepting your defeat.
"Wow. Not many people can catch Fang and I single handed." you said while smirking.
You thought you heard the persong gasp. And then you realized something. The hand on your left shoulder felt hard, like metal. You grew wide-eyed, realizing who was pinning you down now.
"Kaitlyn...?" the boy asked in a shocked tone of voice.
'Hehe... I can't belive I didn't realize it sooner...' you thought to yourself. "Edward Elric, is that you?" you asked through a smirk.
