There are a lot of things that tick William off. The littlest of things too. And it was never like this- not in the beginning of the three years they've been together. These...'quirks' developed over time.
Some are understandable. Like when Brendon skips school or forgets to take care of the dog.
But the volume on the television can't be on an odd number. It can't- or William can't watch it. He freaks.
Or when the knives are where the forks are supposed go. That- oh, that makes William twitch. The knives go in the first slot, not the second. The forks go in the second slot.
The only thing that keeps William sane is the one who causes the insanity in the first place. It's weird, especially because Brendon is- well, Brendon. Nothing he's ever done could have possibly affected William's behavior, but that seems to be the excuse running in William's head.
Brendon is young, and he wants to do things his way, the way he knows. So what? Why can't he have any freedom. It's his home too. Not like he's paying for a dime, but still.
"The volume is on 15, Brendon." the taller man warns.
Brendon leans over to the coffee table and turns the volume down to 14.
"Sorry, I didn't know you were coming down, baby. Come cuddle with me."
The teen is smiling, which causes his lover to smile. Brendon's smile is worth millions to William.
The older man hurries to the couch, wraps his fiance in his arms and places a loving kiss to the side of his face.
It's amazing how William's long legs can fit crossed on the couch how they are. He's like...a big human pretzel or something.
"I got a b+ on my paper," Brendon says, his eyes lighting up.
"I'm so proud of you!" William rewards his lover with a sloppy kiss. "We should celebrate."
Brendon nods, running his hands down Williams chest. He starts to kiss his neck, slowly and softly. That is, until William tugs his head up.
"We should go to that cute little vegan restaurant on the other side of town. I see it every day when I come home from work. How does that sound?"
Brendon blinks a couple times, nodding his head again.
"Yeah...sure. Do I need to get dressed up?"
"No, you're completely beautiful the way you are. Get your shoes on and we'll go now."
William pats his pocket to check to see if his wallet is there.
"Oh babe," William stops Brendon as he's midway up the stairs. "Just grab my wallet on our dresser, I forgot I changed my pants." he laughs.
Brendon smiles but once he gets all the way up, he frowns. William always pays for everything for him. Food, the house, clothes on his back, CD's and such. He feels so spoiled and greedy.
"You commin' angel? I'm about to start the car!"
