Zac Farro||You've Got A Lot Of Nerve||11

Tonight was the night that I was going to ask Riley out. It was a perfect night and everything just seemed to fall into place. I was amazed, really. Nothing could go wrong.
"Everything's ready, right?" I asked Shawn.
"Yep," he replied "all you need is Riley."
"Thank you so much for your help, man." I told him.
"You're welcome, Zac." Shawn said "She'll be so excited when you ask her out."
"You think so?" I asked.
Her nodded and said "Riley loves you Zac. All she does it talk about you. It's always Zac this and Zac that."
I let out a little laugh. "I just hope she doesn't think that I'm a dork for putting so much thought into this."
"She won't call you a dork." Shawn told me "She'll be impressed."
"Well, I've gotta go get Riley." I said "Stay here and make sure no one messes with this."
"Will do." Shawn said, saluting me.
I saluted him back before going off to find Riley. As I made my way to the bus, I felt my heart beat quicken and my stomach got butterflies in it. It was then that I began to doubt myself. What if she didn't really like me? What if she laughed at me when I asked her out? What if she said no? I tried my best to ignore all of those questions.
When I stepped onto the bus, all was quiet. That didn't worry me though. Riley was probably reading. She did that a lot. A few days ago she got the newest Harry Potter book and was putting in at least an hour a day reading it. I quietly made my way to the back of the bus.
As I got closer to Riley's bunk, I heard soft giggles and what was probably kissing. I wasn't one hundred percent sure that it was Riley. It could've been Hayley and Josh. Or Jeremy. As I approached the bunk, I saw that my worst fear was right in front of me.
Riley was making out with Alex Gaskarth.
"Oh shit." was what Riley said when she saw me standing there.
Why'd this have to happen to me?
