Epilogue
♥ Join Me...

Two dark eyes peered down upon the momentous of creations, a mark of unequivocal beauty in the form of an elegant remembrance.

The man, once a boy of unimaginable skill, bends to place upon the structure a single white rose. The creature, a shining silver being, beside him places one of the same flowers with the man's.

"Yeah I know! Today will be a great day!" A loud voice booms in the background, a cheery one nonetheless.

"Settle down Katsu. We're in a place of respect," a calmer voice soothes, the very voice a melody all its own.

"Yeah, but you know good and well that they'd rather us be happy!"

As the two come into focus of the man in dark visage, they stop, staring at him. His now red eyes bore into them deeply, watching their every move and every breath with the skilled eyes of a dangerously powerful ninja.

The boy, whose eyes were dark and shadowy, sported spiky silver hair and normal clothing with a Konoha hitai-ate on his person. His very body screamed strength, though he had a completely not serious aura around him. He was tall, thin, and muscled, attractive and warm.

The girl, with beautiful eyes full of knowledge and mystery in their bright blue background, had long, flowing silver hair that swirled beautifully in the wind. She wore a Konoha hitai-ate and tight clothing, showing off her perfect figure and slightly muscled stomach. She had an aura of a calm, quiet nature with eyes that told of her intense intelligence. She was gorgeous in a way all her own and both were about the age of 18, having a good two years on the man in such dark attire.

The creature. aged not a day, sits in the silence swimming around the three humans. The cloak of the man with such dark hair and deadly eyes flaps and swirls swiftly, creating a black sea in the wind of the sun.

"You're back." Katsu, the boy, states the obvious to the world.

"Hai...." Today was a day of respect. Of course he would be back.

The white rose in each of the twins hands reflected the sunlight majestically, catching the attention of the man.

"As have you to pay respects to the dead." He places his hand upon the tombstone.

"Our mother and father deserve such." The girl smiles, stepping closer and causing the man to move out of the way as she placed yet another rose upon the grave.

She turns around and stares directly into the handsome face of the man, seeing the slashed hitai-ate of Konoha on his forehead.

His cloak, his headband, his ring; they all screamed the name of the most evil organization on this planet. Akatsuki.

Yet neither of the two showed a fear for this boy. A deep rivalry could be felt amongst the two boys, but a solemn kind of respect as well was in the air. The silence that ensues is prolonged, even as the boy identified as Katsu places his rose upon the tombstone.

"It's been a long time...." The two male figures stare one another down, face to face and mere feet apart.

"Katsutoshi." He doesn't move, his red eyes boring into the two.

"Every time I see you in that, you repulse me even more." Katsu spits upon the ground, staring in utter disgust at the outfit.

"And the same to you."

Katsu glares, though his opponents gaze is harsh while being emotionless. He growls, about to attack the man. "Why you...!"

As he goes to leap at him, a hand stops on his shoulder. Katsutoshi looks back at his sister.

"Saika, let me go!"

"You've been missed. How are you?" She smiles warmly, a kind of soft and lazy one.

The man turns his gaze upon her, nodding in answer. He always had been the quiet type, even as a child. His mysteries were his own and only the ones that knew him truly realized what kind of soul he possessed.

"Everyone comes to pay their respect on the same day, like usual." A new voice enters the scene. The three humans and single creature turn to look at him.

His hair was spiky and his eyes were dark. His hands held yet another white rose, the ceremonial flower for this day, and he wore the battle-scarred look of a wise middle-aged shinobi. His thin physique created the imagination of a younger soul, though.

"And today is just that: a day of respect and longing for those past." The man stares at the tombstone, his hand grazing across the top of it gently, with a kind of careful love, the only sign of affection he'd given off yet. "In love and death, joined forever in eternity." The wind softly whistles. The man's eyes narrow. "And that is my cue to leave. Farewell, until we meet again."

His cloak swishes as he disappears, taking both him and the creature of a shining silver, wearing a slashed hitai-ate as well, along his side. Nothing but a flicker of smoke and flame show his dismissal before his vanishing.

"He always was a complex boy." Sasuke stares at the spot a moment longer before placing his two roses on the grave.

"Even thus he's a complex man." Saika looks at Katsu. "Apparently complex enough to still rile up Katsu."

"That bastard!"

Sasuke chuckles. "You always did sound like Naruto." He wipes the blood from his hand, where a rose had plucked his finger's flesh. "Sakura feels terrible she couldn't make it. She's just to sick to get out of bed."

"That and she's about to birth a child." Saika smiles at Uchiha Sasuke, her proclaimed elder brother, and future father of a baby from his love.

They all stand quietly, staring about the area. The grave they were visiting sat nestled neatly beneath a huge tree. They were in the Uchiha Compound, a place now finally inhabited by the twins, Sasuke and his wife, and even their soon-to-be baby. It was a small group for the place, but just enough to at least bring life to the area. The Compound had never looked so beautiful.

"She always loved this tree." Sasuke remembered always catching the two lovers at this tree, sometimes arguing, or sometimes just enjoying the sunset together. They had also begun living in the compound not long after Sasuke's return.

"And he always loved her." Saika shakes her head.

"I'm going to go say hello to Sakura and see how she's doing." Katsu turns, always having loved his sister-in-marriage from the moment he met her. "Coming Saika?"

"Yes." She had sensed the longing in Sasuke to be alone. "Let's go."

As they two depart, leaving the Uchiha alone, he steps in front of the black marble tombstone.

The rich carvings of little shuriken and ivy vines lined the entire thing, which was actually a grand structure. A top the tombstone itself sat two ravens, as requested, holding two kunai that were formed into it. One was black, the other was silver.

It was funny, this real gravesite, yet cruel in a way. On the outside world, away from the compound, a fake tombstone sat within the Konoha graveyard, mainly a spectacle for others, but this was the real deal. This magnificently depressing piece of stone.

But he didn't worry with that. The names carved across the sinful marble were what truly drew his attention.

"It's funny. You always told me you'd at least live long enough to see Naruto become Hokage." He chuckles. "He was inducted just last year and so far has been the best this far along. You were right, as always. He is truly making a difference on the world."

He sits on the ground beside the tomb. "My child is going to be born soon. It's a boy, I know it." Though he wouldn't show it, his eyes were watering behind his now shadowed face, his hand clutching on a necklace. "You helped more than you know it. Not only did you show me the love I needed, you helped recreate the Uchiha name with a boy child. I love you, my sister, and both of you are never going to leave the Uchiha Compound. It's where your spirit belongs, here and yet never confined. Married in life, and married in death." He stands, letting a tear fall onto the ground.

His eyes skim the tombstone one last time, taking in the words.

Hatake Kakashi & Kobayashi Sayomi
A loving mother and father to two blood children and one adopted brother.
Their advancements in life will never be forgotten.
Their love, their strength, their beauty, their names...
They are both now engraved in books of legends.
Sayomi accomplished her dream. She found a home and became known.
Kakashi found his calling in life. He loved her like no other.
They not only lived as one, they died as one; defending all we stand for.
Their story will always be in our hearts.
And now across the world, their names are spoken.
Their love knows no end. Not even death could stop them.

"And how true it is." He shakes his head, turning to walk away. "You left behind your little brother, Sayomi. I'm ashamed. You left behind your son, your daughter, Hatake Katsutoshi and Hatake Saika. And your other son...."

A brush of wind tickles his face. His ear pick up a faint nose, but he shakes it off as madness.

"Couldn't be." With that, he heads back to the mother of his child and his self-proclaimed brother and sister.

~*~*~*~*~

The man that had met the twins and Sasuke in the Uchiha Compound now stood on a well remembered cliff, one only the ones closest to Kobayashi Sayomi had known. The pet he'd inherited stood with him.

The words on the stone were etched in his head, as they always were after he'd visited the site. It made his insides throb and burn at the thought of it, even caused tears to come to his eyes but he'd never show a physical emotion in this visage he wore.

The pet sits beside him, his body scarred from years of a ninja pets life. The man simply places his hand on the animal's head, his calloused hands showing nothing of the 20 years of life he held in him.

"And always, you are missed." He runs his free hand over the katana she'd given him so long ago. "At least you died happy. In love, you held the man close known as Hatake Kakashi. In death, you died by his side. Bittersweet...." He stares in disgust at his purple painted nails. "And in life, I still strive to make you proud. Even if risking my life for the safety of our village in a visage even I despise, I try to make you a proud woman." He shakes his head as a tear lightly trickles down his cheek miserably. He wipes it away before anyone would be able to see him. "Mother...."

The wind carries across his face, feeling like a very kiss were laid upon his cheek. A warm scent was smelt in the air, a soft one of a mix of vanilla and cherry blossoms, along with the strong smell of a male shinobi with it.

"I love you."

With that, his rare smile shines to the world.

"You always had to have the last word." He turns on his heel, and with that disappears with his faithful companion, his immortal little spirit fox.

It's rumored that a woman of great skill, great beauty, a lone wolf the world feared, had destroyed a mass of evil with the hand of her husband tied to her own. The man that held her hand helped her decimate the greatest threat to Konohagakure, both using no less then themselves as self-sacrifices to keep their village safe, even if it meant leaving behind a family that meant more to them than anything in this world.

Their love is rumored, legendary. Now, the gesture of giving a white rose to your loved one means more than anything. For it is rumored that a rose given to Kobayashi Sayomi by her lover and husband, Hatake Kakashi, when they were no more than flirtatious, though secretly in love, lived until the very moment they died.
