Hi!Im Kattieria Bells,or as some know me,Chatty Katty.Im just your normal twenty year old witch.Im the owner of that cute little shop across from the bakery.That's right,I own Kitties Trinx,Tinks,and Jinxes.
"Kat!KAT!" I heard someone calling me from the front of the shop.
"HOLD IT!"*BAM!* "SEE WHAT YOU MADE ME DO!" I storm out to see a nervous looking Jimmy.He's a usual.
"Im sorry,I just need another love spell!" he begs.
"Jimmy,it's not love if you make her love you!" I scream at him.
"But,please!I NEED HER!She's my everything!" he begins to cry.
"Oh,don't you start crying..." *sighs* "This is the last time Jimmy!If she doesn't fall for you,Im sorry.You wait right here,and DON'T-TOUCH-ANYTHING!You've already broken my South West Diamond Back Dragon Eggs.Do you know how hard it was getting those!Gee." I scold him as I walk back to the little room I do all my potions.You see,it's not a bright idea doing it in front of costumers,they try to do it at home,then they blow their house up..Not a pretty sight.I pick up a few ingredients and throw it in a tube.I stir for a few seconds and I see some pink smoke float in a clockwise motion upwards."Purrfect."I smile and prance out.
"JIMMY!"I bark as he's about to touch something.
"sorry sorry!" he bows.
"No problem." I smirk at him."That'll be 30." I giggle the fragile tube in my hand.
"But!That's expensive!Way more than last time!" he pouts.
"Last time was suppose to be the LAST time.If you don't want it..then.." I turn around and act like Im about to dispose of it.
"NO!I will pay!I WILL!" he waves his hands.
"I see." I turn around as he digs in his pockets and holds it out for me.I pick up my staff:
Waved it and watched as the money disappeared into the register.I smile and hand the potion to him.
"Please take care Jim-bo,tell me if it works." I watch as he runs out of the door and listen as the bell rings when the door shuts.Now back to fixing up my staff.
I go back to my secret room and clean up the mess I made before.The green jewel in the center has recently turned black,thanks to my lack of taking care of things.Granma Phincs(Finx) told me to be careful,and if it turns black something bad will happen.Gee,I know what the bad thing is!GETTING IT BACK TO NORMAL! I scream in my head as flip through my book of Spells.Since it turned black I can only do simple things,such as getting money.I can't see the future thanks to the broken center piece.Great,I get the darn staff and I bust it.Just great.
*BAM*
"UGH!" I sit cross legged as the smoke starts to clear.
"Is everything alright?"I hear a young,unfamiliar voice ask from in the shop.
I walk out."May I help you?" There stands a tall man with blond hair and blue eyes.
"Yes,can you jinx an item and hand it to a lady for me?" he smiles.
"I suppose."I raise an eyebrow."Nothing dangerous though.Hand over the item and 20." I say from behind the counter.
"Can you do this though?I did hear a loud bang noise from the back." he question.
"Im pretty sure I can manage.If your going to question my abilities,you can take it elsewhere." I cross my arms.
"N-No.Here!" he tosses everything to me and then disappears just as soon as I catch it.
"Strange..."I mutter to myself and look at the cute little purple gem in my hands."He wants me..to jinx this pretty sucker?" I set it on the table and pull some powder from my pocket. "Lo Vi`ra Ka`res`"(yes laugh all you want!*hmphs*)
*puff* a green smoke is seen and then disperses."I feel sorry for who ever puts this on." I whistle and set it on my desk.But which lady?"
"Chatty Katty!" my old best friend Zen comes through the door.
"Hiya Zen Master!" I smile as she shoots me a 'your-such-a-loser' glance."What may I do you for?"
"Nothing,but I must say..Im not digging your new makeup.Purple and Brown just doesn't suit you." she smirks as I furrow my eyebrows.
"Purple?Brown?Make-up?" I put my finger on my chin."Im not wearing anything that has those colors."
"Here."She pulls out a mirror and holds it in front of my face.
"OH GAH!" I spin my finger and a wet rag appears.I have got brown powder mixed with purple all over my face.Mostly my left cheek and nose."How embarrassing.And I even tried acting cool in front of that hot guy.Perfect."I mutter to myself.
"What?" she tilts her head.
"Oh,this real cutie came in,and I tried acting all cool and stuff."*sighs* "He probably thinks Im a total moron now.Oh well,theres plenty more fallen stars for me to catch." I give her a toothy grin.
"That's right,what fool wouldn't love you anyway?I mean..you do have to love spells." she smirks.
"You know I don't use those for me." I lean against the table.
"I know I know." she smiles.
*sighs* "Im getting so bored..." I sigh.
"Then you need to go on an adventure!" she chirps..
"Ha!Easier said than done..besides," I sigh again "If the King figures out where I am..I'll have to go to war."
"War?" she raises an eyebrow.
"Yeah,stupid nobles." I shake my head."I hate it." I look down.
"I know what would make you feel better!" she laughs pulling me to the back of the shop where I live.She grabs an instrument and starts playing a familiar tune.
"No.." I smile.
"C'mon!"
"Bu-"
"Just sing!It releases stress.Just a couple of verses!"

I start to tap my foot for the beat and then spin my fingers for the rest of the music.

"Hello?"I walk in with Zen following from behind.
"Sorry it's me again."I see the blonde standing there.
"Oooo..whose he?" my friend nudges my side and whispers in my ear.
"Is there something else you need?" I raise my eyebrow.
"Yeah,I forgot to tell you what she looks like." he laughs
"Of course." I say seriously.
"She's this tall." he holds his hand up "rather large,wears purple and black,rude.Im pretty sure you'll know her when she comes in." you see him smirk.
"Ok." I smile."Thanks." ^^
"No problem,take care little kitten." he says.
"IM NOT A KITTEN!" I yell as he disappears.
"Nice going Chatty Katty." I see Zen walk to the door."Now watch out for Howl he eats your heart." she laughs.
"What heart?"I smirk.She waves and shes gone.
I shake my head."She's weird..well I might as well close up." I go over to the door and lock it.
"What a tacky little shop.." I hear an older voice say as a plump lady walks in.
"Ah,Im afraid but we are closed." I cross my arms.
"That is mine." she huffs and points at a purple gem,just so happens to be the one I hexed.
"Oh?Well,if you wasn't a pumpus lady,you wouldn't lose things!" I yell trying to infuriate the woman.
"How dare you!" she screams in my face.
"You dare me what ma'am?" I look at my nails as if there is something interesting there."If you want it,take it.I don't like purple anyway."
"Hmph." she picks it up and *poof*
"Oops." I put my hand in front of my mouth."I forgot to mention that." I snicker.
"Messing with The Witch Of The Waist,huh?" she smirks as she fixes her hair,or what she has left of hair now."Brave,but very stupid." she frowns.
"W-Wtich of the W-waist?" I stammer.OH KATTIERIA WHAT HAVE YOU DONE??? I begin to back up slowly as she begins to cackle.
She zooms(thats what I call it) through me.I cover my face.
"The best part of that spell,is you can't tell!" she cackles again and laughs.
I fall to the ground in pain.It feels like something is pushing through my lower back and my head.Also,I feel something growing out of my cheeks it feels like.
"AAHHH!" I scream in frustration.I take in a few deep breaths as the pain subsides."W-What?" I get up and walk over to the door and lock it.I wobble back to the place wear I live and sit on the couch,only to jump back up."YEOW!" I reach behind me and I feel something furry.WTF??? I scram to my big mirror and almost scream at what I see."T-Thats not m-me!"
My hair has..has been cut or something,its very short and a palish blonde color.That's not the problem though!What is,is the fact I have a pair of furry cat ears sitting on my head,whiskers,a lonnnggg cat tail,and red eyes with black cat like pupils.i look at my nails to see they look sharper than normal and the paint is gone and the are black.
"No.no.no.no.no.no.no.no.no!" I pace back and forth in the den."This can't happen..w-wait..I-I can reverse it,right!" I race to my secret room and start flipping through my book.Nothing.
"No!" I begin to cry."This..this is a nightmare!Yeah,thats what it is!" I slowly walk to my room and crawl into bed and lay down."When I wake up,everything will be back to normal and I will laugh with Zen about this.yeah."
"I can't stay here like this..."I say sadly getting up.I wrap a bandanna around my head covering my ears while pulling on a black dress with white designs here and there to cover up my tail.I put on a pair of white gloves to hide my fingers.I go to the front and put up a sign that read:"Closed Till Further Notice."
I walk to the kitchen and pack a bag with bread and cheese.I walk into my room and grab my staff."So..is that all for my misfortune Granma Phincs?"
I walk out the back way and leave the town.I know where Im going..The Waist Lands.
"Can I get a ride?"I ask a man.I refuse to let him see my eyes.
"Sure,lady,theres room in the back." he points to behind the stack of hay.I nod and walk back and hop on.Soon Im at a house with a man yelling at me.
"Its not safe if you go that way miss!Its only witches and wizards out there!" he scream.
"I'll keep that in mind." I wave back.
"What's going on honey?" his wife comes out.
"Its the lady,she's going to the Wait Lands,says she's looking for someone." he tells his wife.
"Oh."
"Gee this hill is steep." I pout.I sit at a rock and look over across the fields."Im never going to get there with these shorts legs." I tear me a piece of bread and some cheese.
"I think I was doomed when I named my shop kitties." I sigh."Lets see if this will work." I set everything down and hold up my hands "Kasica` Noevu Jisu na` Vu Voux." Nothing.I repeat it louder.Nothing."UGH!" I pout.I point my finger at some grass and blink,usually it sends some water from my hand this time.Nothing."WHAT!?THAT WENCH DID NOT TAKE-THAT STUPID WENCH!WHEN I GET MY HANDS AROUND HER NECK IM GOING TO CHOKE HER!..I could just claw her eyes out!" *sighs* Great..now Im making fun of myself. I look over and see a branch in a bush.I could always use that for some fire wood tonight.I sigh and get up.I go over and try to pull it out."This branch isn't going to get the best of me!" I grunt and it finally comes out.It stands straight up and I look up at it.
"A scarecrow?And you have a turn-up for a head..Some curse,huh buddy?" I sense it."Well..good luck fixing that turn-up head." I get up and dust off my bottom and gather my things and begin to walk up the hill.
Im not ready to leave,Im not ready to die.Kill my screams tonight.
While Im walking up the hill,I hear the tap-tapping of Turnip-head following me."Listen,Turnip-head,old buddy old pal old friend.Dang..I completely forgot what I was going to say." I stop and put my clawed fingers on my chin.Just then a gust of wind went hurling through me.sooo c-c-c-c-c-cold! My ears that were under my bandanna I could feel have clamped onto my head,the feel of FUR standing on my TAIL was a new feeling as well.
"O-o-oh gosh,y-y-y-youd think with a-a-all the fur I-Id b-be warm." I wrapped my arms around my frail frame as I shivered."H-Hey how a-about you d-do something useful and find me a place to stay,ai?" I look hopefully and see him jump down the path.GAWD!SO COLD! It felt as if it was about to snow any second it was so cold.What am I going to do if I freeze to death? I whimper and hug myself tighter just then I hear it.
The creaking of machinery,along with the sound of metal on ground,with steam shooting out at random places.*gasp* "WHEN I SAID FIND ME A PLACE I DIDN'T MEAN HOWL'S CASTLE!" I hiss to turnip-head. I move aside to let it pass,and also to not get squashed.
I jump on and turn back to Turnip-head."Thanks a mil!I hope..I hope your spell gets broken!" with that I open the door and enter."Hopefully I won't have my heart ate." I laugh inwardly.My tail swayed under my dress.Oh great! I go up to the fire place and get on my knees and hold my hands out to warm up.
"That's some curse you got." the fire place whistles.
"Hmm..Your telling m-me." I say calmly."Say.Your a demon..do you think..maybe you could break it for me??" I ask hopeful.
"Hm,I am Calcifer the GREAT Fire Demon!..If you can break the bond between me and Howl Im pretty sure I could." he boasts.
"Ok,Ok I get it..great..great..f-fire demon..and.." you slide to the ground and fall asleep.
"HEY!HEY!" Calcifer barks."How can you help when your asleep?" he questions and then confusion crosses his face as he peers over the hearth."Is she...purring?"
"mhmnn.." I stretched out yawning.
-Knock-Knock-Knock-
I lazily eyed the door from my,very uncomfortable, spot on the floor.I heard foot steps descending the hall,so of course I quickly closed my eyes and faked being a sleep.
"Whose she?And who let her in?" I heard a very young boy ask.
"Porthaven(I think that's it) Door!" Calcifer barked.
"Oh ok." the young boy ran down the steps.It was the military men asking for the presence of Pendragon.Who?Wh-whatever.
Not two seconds later was there another knock on the door..From a different location.This time asking for Jenkins.Mhm,wouldn't this be called fraud of identity theft? I mused as I stood up and stretched and yawned once again.
"So who are you?" the little boy eyed me suspiciously.
"Im K-Mew...What?Im Meow..This is not happening." I sat down and put my face in my hands.
"Hahaha!" the little boy roared with laughter."So..Mew...haha..What are you doing here?"
"None of your business,brat!" I hissed standing up.
"Well..time for some breakfast.." the kid walked over to the messy table and pulled out some bread.I walked over and lifted up a lid that had some bacon.
"Wouldn't you like a real breakfast?" I questioned raising my eyebrow.
"We can't.Howl's not here." the kid stated.
"So?I can cook." I took the basket of eggs and plate of bacon with me.
"But Calcifer only listens to Master Howl." the kid said.Calcifer immediately agreed.
"Now,Calcifer,you wouldn't want me to dump and nice cold bucket of water on you..Now would you?Or..Do you want me to tell Howl about our bargain?" I smirked with one of my canines showing.
"Why I..I shouldn't never let you in!" he barked as I placed the skillet on top of him.
"He's..listening.." the kid said.
"Hey,you got a kettle?Id like some tea." My smirk grew.
"Yeah!" he ran to get the kettle.
"HEY DON'T GET THE KETTLE!WHOSE SIDE YOU ON?" Calcifer grumbled.
"Why Calcifer,your being awfully obedient." I heard the voice which must belong to Howl say.
"Not because I want to." Calcifer whined.
"And who might you be?" he turned to me.
"Im..Kittie,the new cleaning girl." I smirked.As least I didn't say Mew.
"Hm?" he raised an eyebrow.
"Calcifer hired me,he's so tired of the mess." I replied.
"Oh.Here let me." Howl came over and grab the pan and spatula.
"You know,I had everything under control." I replied sending off a mini-glare.
"Give me two more pieces of bacon and 6 more eggs." he completely ignored my comment.I sighed and handed everything to him.
We all sat at the table.
"So,Kittie,why don't you move your hair from your face?" I could tell he was smirking.Yeah,I had it so I could see out,but they couldn't see in.
"B-because..." I tried to think up a quick lie.But before I could what felt like air went passed me and my hair was swept back.
"Whiskers?" Markle asked.
I felt tears about to spill forth.
"Yes..the whole package." I whispered.I could tell they were about to know anyhow,so I just let my bandanna slip from my head to reveal my ears.I heard Markl gasp.
I felt my lower lip tremble.I didn't dare look up,because I knew what I would see.A face full of disgust.Hate.Something along those lines.
"Bread?" Howl asked,kindly.I looked up shocked at.His sparkling blue eyes,and a small smile plagued his lips.
"Y-Yes t-thank you..." I was shocked,among other things."Y-Your not going to yell at me or..or.. scream..or or call me names?" I asked.
"Besides little Kitten no." Howl laughed.I crinkled my nose.
"Im not a little Kitten."
"Sure your not Kitty-Kitty."
"Oh great." I sighed but still smiled.
I shifted in the chair uncomfortably.Trying to be inconspicuous.
"Something wrong?" Howl raised an eyebrow.
"Well...mm..It's embarrassing." I looked my hands.
"Just come out and say it.." Howl leaned forward smiling.
"This..dress..is..irritating my tail." I whimpered.This earned me another life from Howl.
"Don't laugh!" I pouted.
"Hold on." he whipped a stray tear and disappeared into..well the upstairs so I really don't know where to.
"So..your a cat?" Markl asked.
"And you must be the brains of the place."I said sarcastically.
"I think it's..cool." he said shyly.My eyes sparkled.I haven't been this way for long but still.My right ear twitched.
"R-Really?" I asked.
"Yeah!" he smiled.I purred then looked at myself shocked.
"Here." Howl came back down with some clothes.
"Thanks." I smiled and took them in my arms.Its was a white shirt and some black pants,that might stop at my calfs..with a whole..for my tail.I blushed.
"You can change after breakfast." he said.
"Thank you." I took off my gloves and just laid them some place.
"So,what do you have hidden in your pocket?" Howl asked nonchalantly.
"My pocket?" I asked confused and felt around.Indeed there was a car.I got it out and inspected it.
"Hand it to me." Howl held out his hand.
"I think not." I snarled."I already know what it would do.Stupid Witch of the Waste." I huffed.
"You know her?" Howl asked.
"Lets say,if I could,Id probably ring her neck." I concentrated really hard.I just know..if I try my hardest..I can get it right.Soon the air became tense and my hair began to float.The card busted into black flames and then disappeared.
"A witch?"Markl gasped.
"Your more surprised that Im a witch than a half cat chick." I stated simply."It took a lot to do that..Darn that fat wench.AND I BLAME YOU!" I jumped up and pointed at Howl.He just smirked.
"Why me?"
"Because if you wouldn't have MGMGSKSGYMMGMNM!UGH!" I sat back down in my chair as he got up and emptied his plate and went to take a bath.
"I swear,if I find that Witch of the Waste,Im going to wring her fat neck!Finish your breakfast!" I hissed at Markl.I gulped.I hurriedly finished mine and gathered all the dishes and put them in the sink.I stood in the middle of the room and decided what I was going to start off doing.Might as well clear the tables.I picked up my staff and whirled it around only to have a little spark.I glared at nothing in particular."Scratch that...Im going to take the staff,and jab it through her gut." my words seethed with venom.I placed my staff near the hearth.
I started organizing papers and books.After I got them in one pile I started dusting,which I had to open the door and what windows I could open so we wouldn't die in here.Markl was running around trying to get some things out of my way.
"I came to see if my potion was ready." an elderly man walked up to Markl.
"Come back again tomorrow sir,theres a witch on a rampage in there." Markl looked in the door to see me yelling at some bugs.
"You better run before I chop off your heads!" After I was done sweeping,I began mopping.That was more fun.I guess thats just me.Then came the dishes,which didn't take long.
"Help..Kittie..Im dyeing here..Kittie..please.." Calcifer was pleading.I took some tongs and picked the little piece of wood that he was on and sat it in a cup.
"Crazy lady with tongs.Im gonna fall..please..Kittie."
"Oh hush,Im just sweeping out the ashes." I hissed at him.I took out the ashes.When I came in,Howl was out of the bath and had Calcifer in his hands.For a split second,I thought I saw something there.
"I would appreciate it,if you wouldn't torture my friend." Howl said to you.
"S-Sorry..."I simply replied.
"Im going out,Markl make sure the new cleaning kitty"I shot him a glare "Doesn't get to carried away." with that he left out of the door.
"What did you do?"Markl eyed me.I just shrugged.
I need some peace of mind and clarity.
I was laying on the couch just curled up as usual.I had fixed me a place to sleep.This was a pretty tiring day.I mean c'mon.I had to clean this place.Soooo big.I stretched and yawned.I finally fell to sleep.
"You don't look to good..." Calcifer said to Howl.
"Mhmm." Howl pulled up a chair to the Hearth and propped his feet up while leaning into the chair.
"You know..one day..You won't be able to turn back."Calcifer said sadly.
"I got attacked today,by one of my own."Howl said.
"You mean,by the Witch of the Waste?"Calcifer.
"No,wizards who transform them self for the king."
"They are going to regret that..They will never be able to turn back in to humans.." Calcifer said sadly.
"After the war,they won't remember that they were human..." Howl got up."Warm up the water.."
"Again?" Calcifer side.
*bang*
I shot up."Is Howl home?" I asked Calcifer.
"Yeah,he's using up all my hot water!" Calcifer complained.
"Oh stop your belly aching." I laid back down.
"Excuse me." Calcifer looked at me.
"mnmm.." with that I fell into sleep.
"Don't come near me you monster!" Zen backed up into a wall.
"No,Zen..it's me..Ka(lost in transmission)"
"No your not!" Zen yelled back and disappeared.
Everything went black and I balanced in between uncontentious and contentiousness.
"Who am I?" I asked to only have it returned back."Have I always been this way?Was that life just a dream?"
"So let's go to the market Markl!" I said excitedly tying my bandanna over my head.
"I don't see why,Howl barely eats." Markl pouted,apparently he doesn't want to go.
"Well how sad,now let's go." I smiled as I headed out.
We walked from store to store.We ended up at the potatoes place.(XD)
"Mhm.I don't like potatoes." he grumbled like an old man..
"What a shame.Pay up." I smiled kindly.He grumbled but payed the man.Just to inform you,my magic is beginning to come back to me.I can feel it.This morning I was able to levitate a feather.^^ I felt proud of myself.I know what your thinking "I bet you blew it up." but no..So yeah anyway on ward.
"These fish came fresh this mor'n ma'am." the market man smirked.
"Thats great." I smiled picking up random fish.
"I don't like fish,hmph."Markl complained.
We heard a bunch of commotion behind us so I turn around to see a battle ship.Apparently it lost the battle.Lots of ships went out to help the fleeing soldiers.
I crinkled my nose and almost felt guilty for one thought..almost They deserve it.. But then again,I wasn't in a good mood when it came to wars.
I looked around as people casted their glance towards the ship.Then I saw it.A blob man.The witch of the wastes hench men! I turned towards the ship and hoped he didn't see me.
As soon as he left I grabbed Markl's hand and began to walk
"Kittie!Slow down!"Markl called out.
"We need to get back!" I yelled.
"But slow down!" I admit,I was going abnormally fast.Fast enough to figure out that my bandanna just now flew off of my head just as soon as I entered the door.
"Phew." I breathed." I need some water.." I sighed heaving up the steps.I was now tired.
"I'll get it."Markl volunteered as I sat in my chair.I deemed it mine..
My right ear twitched as I heard from something above.
"KIIIITTTTIIIEEEE!" Howl screeched.I jumped as he came hurdling down the stairs holding his head.
"H-Howl?"I whispered.
"YOU SABATOGED(sp?) ME!" he shrieked.His hair looked fine to me."I just see no point in living..if I can't be beautiful." he muttered slumping into the chair.
For some reason this hit me more than it should. 'If he can't be beautiful?...' "W-We can dye it back..Y-You should look at it now..it's a much better shade now.." I reached out my hand..I retracted it because he was slimy.
"I just see no point...." he muttered as it began to get dark and creepy.
"Howl..Stop it..Your scaring me Howl...Im..going to drown..Howl.." Calcifer said scared.
"He's calling the forces of the dark."I furrowed my eyebrows.
"I saw him do this once..when a girl dumped him.."Markl said to me.
"THAT'S IT!" I screamed stomping my foot."YOU THINK YOU HAVE IT BAD!?" I screamed at his slumped form."LOOK AT ME!IM A FREAK!YOU SEE NO POINT WHEN YOUR HAIR IS A LITTLE MESSED UP!TRY HAVING CAT EARS,TAIL,NAILS!YOu...You...YOU JERK!" I screamed and ran out.Insensitive,shallow,cute,nice,PRAT!
All I need is for it to rain.*rains* I began to cry at all my trouble.I mean..first..first Im turned into a monster now that shallow prick thinks he has it bad just because his hair went from blonde to black.Suddenly there was an umbrella above me.I looked up and there was Turnip-head.
"How did you become so kind Turnip-head?" I asked.
"Kittie!Kittie!"Markl screamed."Please come quick!Calcifer is going to drown!" I sighed.
"Lets go then.."I began to walk back.
Once we entered I shook my head.
"Is he going to die?" Markl asked.
"Unfortunately..no." I sighed once more."Calcifer..get the bath warm...Markl a little help here." we pushed his chair to the stairs through the sludge."Go turn on the water Markl." I wrapped my arms around Howl trying to lift him.His arm rested limply around my shoulder.
"C'mon Howl...I know you still no how to walk." I said on the third step.He was heavy..to me anyway.I concentrated my energy to my legs.
I had a 30 second chance to get him up there.He levitated just slightly as I ran,as fast as I could anyway.On the top step my legs almost gave out on me.Although half-way up it was hard to keep my concentration since his towel fell off.(fiivvvee dollar..foot long.XD sorry sorry.XD) *blush*
"Now you get him cleaned up.."I tiredly ordered Markl..I walked out of the bathroom and surveyed everything."And I just mopped.."I pouted.I cleaned up and then took Howl to his room and tucked him in.Big baby.. I yawned.
He is cute when he sleeps... I mindlessly brushed some stray hair that fell in his face.I rested my head on the side of the bed and before I knew it...I was out cold.
Howl woke up from his dream to see Kittie sound asleep.He smiled to himself and just looked down at her...Some freak...By far the cutest...If only I could love..
He stroked Kittie's cheek,which was surprisingly soft to him.He enjoyed the little sparks of electricity it sent to his finger tips.His hand moved some hair that was sitting in front of her eyes.
He smiled.Because...the whiskers were gone..the tail was gone..and so were the ears.Though,deep inside,he really wanted her to keep the ears.
"If only I had a heart.." he repeated."It could be a good excuse..." he yawned.He lifted up Kittie as if she were a feather and sat her beside him.He couldn't just let her lay there and freeze.
I woke up to fill hot breath on my neck.I wasn't fully awake,so I snuggled back.I felt a weight on my waist pulling me back as well.I smiled to myself.such warmth..
I turned around and snuggled my face in to what I thought was a pillow.*sniff* "mmm..this pillow smells like Howl.." I whisper perfectly contempt.
"Good.." *yawn* "Morning..little kitten."
I stopped breathing.My eyes shot open and I tilted my head upward to meet the sparkling blue orbs that belonged to the infamous Wizard..Howl.
The heat rushed to my cheeks and I hoped he couldn't see.
"Your blushing." he stated simply.
Crap.
I bite my lip and looked at him."W..H..U..I?Huh?" I tried to form a simple sentence..Heck a simple word would be good!
"I believe you have your ABC's confused darling." he smirked.This caused me to blush further.
"Y-You!Me?Here?Bed?What?" I furrowed my eyebrows.I heard him chuckle.
"Don't worry,nothing happened..."
"I..Im..f-fixing b-breakfast...y-yeah."I tried to get out of bed but was pulled back by his arm.
"It's early in the morning,a little passed four.Go back to sleep." he whimpered.
"H-Here?" I stuttered.
"Where else." he smirked.
"W-Well no funny business mister." I finally regained myself.
"Of course not."He chuckled.I hesitantly laid back.Tense.But still I laid back.
"Relax.." he whispered in my ear.I melted.My eyes began to droop and soon I fell back to sleep.
"Want some milk?" I entered back into Howl's room.I saw him shake his head.
"Well,I'll sit it here then." I smiled and sat it on the table and sat down.I closed my eyes and just sat there just thinking.
I heard what sounded like a little bell.I looked up and saw that a little purple stone was glowing.
"The Witch of the Waste is looking for my hide out." Howl said in monotone.
"Hm?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Im such a coward." he said.I then furrowed my eyebrows."All this magic..is just to keep people away."
"Well.." I said.
"I have to report to the palace as both Pendragon and Jenkins." he whimpered a bit.
"How many aliases do you have?" I asked.
"Enough to keep my freedom."
"Well why don't you just not go." I suggested.
"You see that?" he pointed to a paper that was on his wall."That's the oath I took.It states whenever the king calls,I am to report immediately."
"Then you should go!Ask to speak to the king." I said.
"You don't understand..." he mumbled.
"Tell him to end this stupid war!Every king should want to hear from their citizens." I smirked.Even though I received the same notice..before I ended up like this.
"IVE GOT IT!" he jumped up and grabbed my shoulders."You can go in my place!Tell them that I am such a cowardly man that they don't need me!" he smiled at his genius.
I just sighed.
Is there a place for the end?
I was laying outside under the sun just looking at the clouds.In two days Id have to report to the king as...as..I can't believe I agreed to this..but as his wife.*sighs* I knew I should've declined but noooo..
Who in their right mind is going to believe that the heartless wizard Howl,fell in love..With someone like me...I sighed as the breeze was softly breathing.
I rolled my eyes as Howl used his magic to make my dress real pretty.Show off I fixed my hair so that my whiskers were invisible.It would be easier if I could use my magic.But it's slowly coming back...as my life of a long ago..seemed to slip away.Although no one knows,I have forgotten my real name.What was it?
I had a bonnet on to cover my ears and was walking down the steps.
"Thank you so much Kittie!" Howl said as I set my hand on the knob.
"Don't forget,you owe me one." I felt his presence behind me as he grabbed my right hand and put a ring on my finger.I looked at him quizzically.
"To ensure your safe return." he smiled."I will be following in disguise,so don't worry." he pushed me out the door and I just stared at it.
I began my walk and looked at various things."He couldn't be a crow..." I remarked as I passed a flock.
Not further down I saw some pigeons."Surely not a pigeon..He's too flamboyant for that."I sighed.What could he be then?? I watched as people passed me by with painted on smiles.Complaining about so-and-so who didn't show up or whatever.How simple they had it.
I walked further and saw a dog running in circles."..Howl?" I whispered and it came towards me and started yipping.I sighed."Couldn't you think of something a bit more useful?"
"Yip..Yip.." (just so you know,I have forgotten the name of the dog so I will call it..dog!)
I sighed in frustration.We continued to walk.I was now in front of the palace."Gee,I still have so far to go.." I whined."Complaining won't get me no where."
So I began walking again.I noticed a carriage being pulled by blob men.
"Oh look what the cat drug in.The tacky little Kitten from the tacky shop." I heard her say.
"Hmph."I chose to ignore her.
"So how is dear Howl treating you?" you could here the smirk.
"He's working me to death." I replied simply.
"Haha,I see.So why are you here?" she asks.
"To look for a new job.."
"Oh,I got a personal invitation.About time the stupid Suliman(sp?) realized my abilities."
"So can you take off this curse?" I asked as politely as I could.
"Im sorry,my specialty is in casting curses,not lifting them." with that she left.
"WHY YOU!!"I screamed and stomped forward."If it wasn't for you,Id scratch her eyes out!"
We were up there and I saw that she was on the third step,and obviously having difficulty going forward.
I shrugged and started going up.I was already ahead of her when I noticed the dog wasn't beside me anymore.I sighed and looked down.
"I swear."I walked back down and picked him up."Why are you so heavy??"I questioned.
I was having to take one step at a time to get up there.Half way up I turned and looked down at her.
"Why don't you just stop?Your killing yourself."I tried to reason.
"It took me 50(pretend) years to get called here,Im not going to turn back now."she huffed.
"Whatever.."I turned back around.
"Aren't you going to help?" she asked.
"What?You suddenly remembered how to break this curse?" I turned around.
"I told you..I can't." she heaved.
"Sorry,if I still had my magic,Id help you."I shrugged.
"Next time I'll make you forget everything.." she huffed.I reached the top and turned around.
"Why don't you help her?"I asked the man.
"We have orders not to." he answered monotone.
"Well..if you say so."I sighed."COME ON!YOU CAN DO IT!JUST A LITTLE FURTHER!"I screamed down at her.
When she reached the top she just sent me death glares."At least your up here now." I smiled.
"Oh ...shut...up.." she said in between breaths.
We entered a room and there was a single chair.
"A CHAIR!ITS MINE!" she screamed and wobbled towards it.I just shrugged.I saw the dog run off.
"Howl."I hissed following it.I got in the hallway and saw a little boy.
"This way miss." he gestured towards the spot beside him..
Soon I was in another room and saw Sulliman in a wheel chair like thing.
"Im glad you came.."she greeted.
"Yeah,Im sorry my lazy husband didn't come.I swear he is such a cowardly man." I chuckled.She gestured to the seat in front of her,which I obliged.
A few minutes and Lady Sulliman kept talking about Howl's potential and then..
"He needs to either come back or be punished.He is using his power,the wrong way and we can not allow that any longer." she says solemly.
"I think not!"I stood up."What your doing is wrong!Don't think I don't know,you are taking wizards and turning them into beasts.You may not believe,but neither did I until I met him,he's a kind and gentle man.Yes he doesn't have a heart,but that doesn't mean he is evil.You have a heart,and you are just plain cold."I said seriously.Then an old women on a cart was rolled in.
"The Witch of the Waste?"I squinted my eyes.
"This is what happens to wizards who do not use their power right.."
"THIS WAS JUST A TRAP!"I pointed an accusing finger.
Just then the King stepped in.
"Hello Madame Sulliman,how are you this fine day?And who is our guest?" he gestured to me.
"Your so formal today."Madame Sulliman replied.Just then..the King came in?
"I have a new strategy Sulliman!We are going to go in and pumble them!Oho,I do say,that is the best double you've made yet." he laughed then left.
"Haven't I taught you better than that..Howl?" Madame Sulliman smiled at the King double who turned into Howl.He came by my side and wrapped an arm around my waist.
"How are you?" he asked smirking.
Then we were engulfed in what looked like water,and then in the skys.
"Lets show her,what you really are Howl." she said.
You saw feathers growing out of him and tallons appearing.
"Its a trick!"I screamed and tried to cover his eyes.
Just as soon as her staff was coming towards us he moved.We got on one of those machines and took off.
"You really saved me back there Kittie.." he said kindly.He let go of the steering wheel and you took it and almost smashed in to a building.You heard him laugh."Now we have a good head start.Now just call Calcifer with all your heart and this ring will lead you to him.I can give you five minutes of invisibility." with that he parted off in the other way.
You steered in the right place.Why?Why?I ..don't under stand! I repeated for probably the hundredth time.It soon began to rain.I saw the castle getting close and then I realized.
"HOW DO I LAND THIS THING???!" I screeched.
Then we crashed into the side.I climbed out and was attacked by Markl.
"KITTIE!" he screamed.
"Markl!"I screamed his name hugging you.
"I missed you Kittie!" I smiled at him.
"Let's go to sleep.."
(FYEye!I don't want The Witch of the Waste to be in here anymore so pretend that you did a flip and she fell off,good,right?Right.^^)
The next morning I looked at the window."You don't think he'll notice do you?"I looked at Calcifer.
"Sureee..I mean come on..Its just a WHOLE IN THE WALL!" he screamed the last part.
"ok ok.." I sighed."Markl..go out side and we are going to tie some rope around this thing and tug it out."
I tried pushing and they pulled.Nothing worked.
"YOU STUPID HUNK OF JUNK GET OUT!" I screamed and kicked it.Its engine revved up and the wings started to flutter,it soon flew out.I smiled to myself."Now to clean.." I sighed once more.
I ran over to my staff.I noticed the center piece was slowly turning back to it's normal color so I went back over and held it up.
Soon everything was clean..but I couldn't fix the wall.So,I had a stroke of genius.
"So you made it home safely I see."Howl replied coming in.I just nodded.
"If you call safe crash landing in the living room."Calcifer ratted me out.
Howl laughed "I new she'd make a great pilot!"
He came over and patted my shoulder as my turned your head.
"What's wrong,Kittie?" He got in my face.
"Hmph,I was worried sick about you." I muttered.
"I see." he smirked.
"No you don't.."I pouted.
"Get ready,we are moving." he said suddenly.
He got everything set up and me and Markl set on the table.Howl scooped up Calcifer in a shovel like thing.I could feel the magic surge through the room.I smiled as the room widened,the wall was fixed and everythng.
"WOW!We even have a shop!" Markl ran out leaving just me and Howl.
"Come on,I have something to show you!" He smiled pulling your arm and walking up the stairs.Right across from his room was another door.You opened it and gasped.It looked so familiar.
"M-My room?"I questioned looking at Howl to see if I was right.
"Yes." he smirked."Now I have another surprise for you.." he led me down the stairs and I saw a new color on the dial.
"You see this dial?" he asked.I nodded.He opened the door and I saw a beautiful field.
"Oh Howl..."I said amazed stepping out.
"You like it?" He bent down to my level to watch my reactions.
"I love it!"I screamed and began running around with him behind me.
A few minutes later we stopped and I just smiled.Then frowned.He noticed this.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"Something feels wrong...Your leaving..aren't you?"I asked not looking at him,because I knew it would break my heart.
"Im just trying to set things up so that you and Markl can have a comfortable life." he explained..
"Am I...that much of a pain?" I looked down.He cupped my chin and tilted my head up to look in his eyes.
"What?Kittie..Never once were you a burden.." he said..
"But..Im so..freakish..and you are..you are.."I couldn't finish because tears were appearing in my eyes.
"Kittie..Your beautiful.." My eyes widened.And I smiled.
Just then we both looked east.An enemy war ship?I furrowed my eyebrows.
"What are they doing here?"I asked.
"Spreading death.." Howl said.He held up his arm.He did something to the ship because some ugly creatures came out and was coming after us.Howl grabbed my wrists and we were airborne.We were running as fast as we could to the entrance.
The door opened and he threw me in.The dial changed and Markl came in.
"Kittie!Are you ok??" Markl asked.
"That doof!"I screamed and stomped up the steps and sat in front of Calcifer.
Soon the day had passed and Howl still did not return.I was getting worried.
I noticed..a beating..from Calcifer then it hit me like a brick.
' Howl eats the hearts of young ladies..Heartless wizard....Bond by a contract..'
"Thats it..." I said quietly.
"What's it?" Calcifer asked.
"N-Nothing..Ive got it!I..IVE GOT IT!"I jumped up.Now all Id have to do is wait for Howl to return.
--*sirens*--
"Its a bomb raid..."I said.*gulp*
I paced back and forth listening to the screams.I pulled Markl into the living room and sat him down.I turned the dial and looked over the town.Bombs were falling every where...And then I saw it..Howl was getting attacked..Trying to defend the house.."Oh no.."I ran back in.
"Calcifer!We have to warn Howl!..W-We need to break the contact with the shop!"I yelled.
"Only Howl can do that."Calcifer said
"What if I take you out of the house?"I asked.
"That's impossible!The whole place would cave in." he shouted at me.I made up my mind.
"MARKL!Get out side now!" I shouted.Once he was out I got the shovel and scooped up Calcifer.
"CRAZY LADY WITH A SHOVEL!" Calcifer screamed."Whatever you do..Make sure Im the last one out.."he gave in,seeing as I wasn't going to let my Howl die!
Just as he predicted the place caved in."Its raining.."He complained.
"Oh hush.."I sighed."Markl find a way in.."I said.
"Yes!" Markl ran around and showed me the way in.I sat down and looked at Calcifer..
"Is there any way we can get to Howl?" I asked.
"I can do anything if you give your your eyes or heart."Calcifer said.
"Mmm.." I looked around me then I saw my tail swaying.I grabbed it and showed it to him."Will this work?"I asked.
"Sure.." with that he reached out and took my tail.It surprised me that it didn't hurt.He ate it and got fired up.(no pun intended)
A little piece of the castle began to move and we were off.Soon I saw Howl hurdling to the ground I began to panic."STAY HERE AND KEEP MARKL SAFE!"I yelled and grabbed my staff.I swung it around and said a small incantation.
Soon I was gliding through the air at abnormal speeds.I searched the ground for where he had fallen.There.. I made a bee line down ward zooming past,and blasting the beasts that hurt Howl.
I was soon standing in front of him.He was still in his beast form."Oh Howl..Im so sorry.."I walked up to him but he jerked back.I reached up and rubbed his cheek,or what I thought was his cheek.
I took in a deep breath,"Recuta` Transimpotium." I held out my staff.A white circle formed around me and Howl.My hair was floating.Two seconds later we were in the remains of the castle.
Howl had turned back into his human safe,and didn't look to good."Is he going to die?"Markl asked.
"Not if I have anything to do with it."I said determination filling my voice.
"Calcifer,you know what Im about to do?"I asked the withering flame.
"Yes.." he answered.
"Do you trust me?"I asked "You will survive,right?"
"I believe if you do it..." he trailed off.I picked him up in my hands.
"Its a fluttery feeling.."I said amazed.
"Its still the heart of a child.."Calcifer said weakly.I knelled down beside Howl and placed his heart back in his chest.He coughed and grabbed the place where his heart is.
"It feels as if theres a weight on my chest." Howl said.
"The hearts a heavy burden,Howl."I smiled at him
"Im aliveee!"Calcifer danced about.I smiled.
"We'll miss you."I smiled and held him in my hands."Take care." with that I gave him a peck on the cheek.He zoomed off happily.
"Hey what about me?"Howl asked playfully.
"This is for you." I leand up and planted a kiss on his lips.He wrapped his arms around my waist to deepen the kiss.
Howl and I had built a new castle.This time it sores through the clouds.My whiskers and nails have disappeared,but..I don't know why..but these darned ears persist to stay!
Howl loves them though.Calcifer came back saying he was bored,but I knew the real reason.He missed us!The war had ended days ago,Turnip-head was the prince.Can you believe that?
I was leaning up against the fence watching the clouds when I felt two pairs of arms wrap around me.
"It's beautiful isn't it Howl?"I asked leaning my head into his chest.
"Not as beautiful as you,my little kitten." he nuzzled my neck making me giggle.I turned around and looked up at his eyes.
"I love you."I smiled.
"And I,love you,Kattieria." He leaned down and kissed me passionately on the lips.
Will you be the end to my story?
I didn't want to make this into a series of stories where people would be like "Can't wait for the next chapter/When is the next chapter?/Stop being lazy and hurrry up!!!!" I just made this so that it's ONE BIG WHOLE STORY!XD I hope you liked it.Think of it as a movie?XD Sorry.If it's short,sorry.Or any grammatical stuff,sorry.^^ Polls in results!
