"So are we going to that theme park or what?"
There's something magical about theme parks.
Maybe it's the roller coaster you insist on going on and then wind up screaming all the way.
Maybe it's the fact that whenever you go, you wind up getting kicked out of the park, for various hilarious reasons.
Ronnie stared at you impatiently.
"Uh--sure. Nothing better to do on a school day right?" you laughed, slamming the door of the passenger seat shut.
"Aren't the other guys coming?"
An amused look danced across his eyes. "Yeah, but they're taking the van there. There isn't enough room." He started the ignition.
He never knew just how much you wanted to waste your time with him, everyday.
Darling what is going on?
"I thought you brought the money!" you argued, ignoring the stares from the people nearby.
"You know I'm broke!" Ronnie grinned, taking your hand.
Okay, it was actually more like grabbing your arm to pull you towards the fence.
"You crash illegal areas without a thought and yet you don't want to sneak into a theme park?" Max laughed, already on the other side of the fence.
You looked at Ronnie's hopeful eyes.
Damn. He always won, and he knew it.
Honestly that never happened.
First, you went to all of the scariest rides, because when you're hanging out with five hyper teenage boys, it's hard not to get sucked into the excitement.
"That was the insanest ride ever!" Bryan yelled, stumbling out of the Dead Thrill Dragster.
You nodded and tried hard not to throw up.
"Did you hear Ronnie scream at the final drop?" you gasped for air, half from laughing and half from being dazed.
Ronnie scowled at you playfully.
"Actually, I think you drowned me out that time!"
Omar pushed ahead of you guys. "I liked the backwards drop better! You, Alice?"
I liked the part where we both screamed in unison and Ronnie held on to me like the world was ending.
"Uhh, yeah I liked the backwards thing too."
I know you love to resist.
You ducked lower into the the moving tram. Though they were supposed to be for two people, you were kind of squished.
Spiderwebs and outstretched skeleton fingers reached out toward you.
Ronnie had wanted to go into the "House Of Hell".
Between the fake-looking monsters and the ancient coffins, it wasn't scary at all.
You couldn't see him, but you knew he was there.
Boy, did you know that.
"Alice?" he whispered into the silence of the shifting ride gears.
"Yeah?"
"Nothing."
Ronnie Radke did not get shy.
"What's wrong?" you asked, your fingers subconsciously touching.
"I'm scared."
"Of this
"Ahaha," he said sarcastically. "No, I'm scared that what I'm about to say will ruin everything."
Your smile faded.
"...What are you talking about?"
He took a deep breath.
"Alice, do you like me?"
You stared as this moment was held for you.
Finally, you laughed nervously. "I looove you Ronnie."
"No, seriously. I need to know."
So don’t act surprised.
"'Cause I really really really like you."
You were so glad he couldn't see your expression in the dark.
"For real Ronnie?"
"For real, I promise."
You sighed dramatically and leaned your head on his shoulder.
"So, I guess you knew all along?"
You could almost see him smiling in the dark. "Oh definitely," he teased.
...And all it takes is a kiss.
Eerie music started playing in the background.
"Hahaha, great atmosphere," you said laughing, feeling his face against your yours; his lips brush against yours.
"I love you Alice."
You couldn't control your thudding heart and speeding pulse.
"I love you too."
He leaned in and your lips crashed into his, the moment you had been waiting for all your life.
