Age: Around 19, but looks more like a middle school student
Hair color: Blonde
Eye color: Generally blue
Height: Relatively short, 5'2"
Personality: Akari has a tendency to be a clumsy, stuttering and completely shy person who can never manage to muster up the courage to tell her crushes how she feels about them.
Tends to blush easily and have a very short attention span, as well as a remarkably small memory, which makes her one of the lowest rankings in her uni class.
Redeeming qualities include her lack of anger (except for occasional childish tantrums and pouts) and cooking talent (though she only makes sweet foods). Specialties include strawberry daifuku and western cakes.
Currently living with roommate Arato Kyon, who she's known since middle school, with uni classmates Kanzaki Risa and her cousin Kanzaki Hiromu as neighbors.
Family includes somewhat estranged mother and father who stayed back in Tokyo, and a little brother named Tonda Jiro.

Eye color: Gray
Height: 5'7"
Personality: Generally sick with allergies or other sicknesses, highly susceptible to colds and fevers, speech is often impeded by inability to breath through nose (when sick).
Often irritable and miserable because of weak immune system, but dutifully attends all university classes, unlike roommate Akari.
Takes notes and collects assignments for Akari when she skips classes, in return for baked goods (especially the strawberry daifuku, which happens to be one of his ultimate weaknesses).
Sees Akari as a dependent child who's good for nothing but a housewife (if even that), due to her lack of common sense and scholarly attitude, as well as childish outlooks and behavior. All in all, the polar opposite of Akari.

Personality: Fiery-tempered apartment complex neighbor and Akari's only female university friend.

Personality: Akari's secretly mischievous brother who acts sweet and innocent around everyone until he sees an opportunity to make trouble. Occasionally visits her from Tokyo without informing his parents, which gets Akari in more trouble.
