Cassie's POV
I stormed into our Lance's mansion, Taylor following supportingly behind.
"What's wrong Cassandra?" The most evil elderly woman ever spoke, faking curiosity.
"You should be happy, I'm leaving." I replied, in monotone.
"Oh, really? Tisk, Tisk, Tisk. What a shame" Clarice replied smirking, and heading into a long hallway.
"She scares me." Taylor stated.
I laughed slightly and decided to head upstairs to pack.
"Come and help me pack." I said, smiling softly. Taylor nodded and followed me up the stairs to my bedroom.
"Where are you going to go?" Taylor asked once we entered the room.
"I don't really know." I said, pulling out my suitcase. "I know for sure that I can't go back home." I felt as though, I could've broken down but I did enough of that in the limo.
"My parents seemed so proud of me..." I started before erupting into silent tears. Taylor quickly wrapped his arms around me in a warm, comforting embrace.
I rested my head in the crook of his neck, as he ran his hands in circular patterns across my back. I shuddered from the burst of feeling.
I couldn't understand why I was feeling so safe and at ease with Taylor. I felt guilty for dumping him, for an a.ss like Lance, even if we did only date for a week. But, I've known Taylor for about four years, since the beginning of high school and he'd always been fairly decent. He and Tate, the leaders of the "jock pack", kept other jocks from being jerks to Jewls and I, due to their now apparent feelings for us. Taylor, unlike Lance, I had known. While Lance, when I thought about it, was a stranger.
I still felt like a somewhat s.lut, stupid I know, but just yesterday I was making out with Lance and now here I was being comforted by Taylor.
That is so wrong.
So I pulled away,
"I'm sorry," I wiped my hands frantically across my cheeks. "about all of this. I hope you can forgive me."
"I already have." Taylor whispered, placing a soft kiss on my lips.
His kisses were the same: comforting. Lance's were passion-filled and made my toes curl and butterflies flutter in my stomach. Taylor's made me feel cared for, and secure.
He pulled away slowly, "How about you come back to Seattle for a bit and clear your head?"
I nodded, "With you?" I blushed.
"That would work but I was thinking something more of you staying in a hotel." Taylor said, smirking.
Ah, there it is. That cute smirk.
I blushed, again. "I don't have enough money." I countered.
"Who needs money?" He scoffed. I stared at him like he was crazy.
"You want me to break into the hotel?" I asked confused.
"No, no." He said, chuckling. "Who has to worry about money when your engaged to Lance Spektor?" He winked.
I smiled, realizing what he meant. "Thanks." I said, feeling happier.
"Anytime. If we are going to prove your *engaged* to Lance Spektor...we need evidence." Taylor said thoughtfully.
Luckily, I had a tabloid magazine article that just so happened to have Lance and I on a date, and I had my driver's license in my purse.

You left without a single word
Not even sorry
It might've hurt worse to hear you say
I'm leaving, goodbye
But your smile still makes my heart sing
Another sad song
I can't forget it
I won't regret it
Cause I'm still in love with you

What'd you think? I really love that song in the chapter. I'm about to post the poll, so look out for it!
