Amanda helped Tom sit down on her bed before pulling his shirt up to reveal the already forming bruises on his stomach. He weakly grabbed her hands and pushed them away from him.

"Just leave me alone," he spat as he wiped blood from his mouth with the back of his hand.

"Stop acting like a dick and let me help you," she replied as she grabbed his shirt once more.

She managed to get his shirt up and over his head without him fighting her. Tom winced in pain when she began touching his ribs to see if any of them were broken or not. Amanda sighed in relief when she found that they all felt what she thought were normal.

"Good news. Your ribs aren't broken," Amanda said, trying to break the awkward silence between them.

Tom didn't reply. He just stared off into space as Amanda continued to clean him up using his already bloody shirt.

"Tom, why did you say those things to Laura?" Amanda softly asked.

"Just leave me alone," he spat.

"Not until you tell me why."

"Its none of your damn business, Amanda. Now get the fuck away from me," he yelled as he pushed her away, causing her to fall backwards.

Amanda got back on her feet and dusted herself off. "You can push me all you want, Tom, but I will not leave you alone about this. Now tell me, why did you do my friend that way?"

"Because she deserved it, thats why," he sneered.

She narrowed her eyebrows. "I know that you don't actually believe that."

"How do you know what I believe?"

"What is really bothering you, Tom? Hmm?" Amanda asked, sitting down next to him.

"Just leave me alone," he mumbled.

Amanda laid her hand on top of his. "You can tell me what is bothering you. I'll listen."

Tom looked up at her with hatred in his eyes. "You want to know whats bothering me? The fact that you three bitches kidnapped me and my brother, is what's bothering me."

"You know, I really don't think that is all that is bothering you. There is something else. I can tell," Amanda said.

"No, there isn't."

"Don't lie to me, Tom."

"I'm not lying, Amanda. Just leave me alone."

"I don't understand why you won't tell me," she said in a frusterated tone.

"You're so annoying."

"Fine then. Don't tell me," Amanda huffed as she curled up in bed.

After several silent moments passed between them, Tom finally spoke. "What are you doing?"

"I'm trying to take a nap," she spat.

"Sorry I asked," he mumbled.

Amanda sighed. "You know you can lay down if you want. I know that you must be sore and tired. Just keep your hands to yourself."

Tom didn't say anything as he slowly laid down next to her, trying his best to not cause anymore pain to his already sore body. Once he was situated, Amanda turned her back to him and pulled her blanket up around her body. The last thing she remembered before drifting off to sleep was the warmth and weight of Tom's arm wrapping snuggly around her waist.

Laura stalked off into her room and slammed her door shut behind her. She was officially pissed off at Chris for what he had done to Tom. Even Laura was mad at Tom also for what he had said, she still didn't enjoy seeing him get beat like that. It was uncalled for.

"Laura? Can I come in?" Chris called through the door.

She didn't reply as she picked Dunny Bear up off her pillow and sat down on the bed. Laura held her old companion tightly in her arms as she fought the urge to cry. She was mad and knowing that she wanted to cry over Chris made her even more angry but at herself. Right now, all she wanted was for him to go away and leave her in peace.

"I'm coming in," Chris said as he pushed the door open.

Laura looked up as he walked into her room. The blanket that had been covering his body was now replaced by a simple black t-shirt and a pair of jeans. Chris sat down next to her and looked down at his hands as he began fumbling with them.

"We should talk," he began.

"About how you beat the shit out of Tom when it really wasn't necessary? Sure, let's talk about it, Chris. Tell me, which part got you off the most? The part where you almost ripped his hair out of his head or the part where you punched him in the face repeatedly?" she snapped.

"I deserved that. I know that I shouldn't have done that to him and I apologize. When you told me that he said those things to you, I just couldn't take it and I snapped."

Laura snorted, "Snapped is an understatement. Seeing you like that was scary. No, it was beyond scary. I was terrified."

Chris stood up off the bed.

"Where are you going?" she asked.

Laura gave him a confussed expression when he kneeled down in front of her. He cautiously took her hands into his own and looked up at her.

"Please, don't be mad at me, Laura. I can't stand the fact that you are," he said with pleading eyes.

"Chris, get off your knees. You're acting ridiculous," Laura mumbled.

"No, Laura. I'm not getting up from this position until you're not mad at me anymore."

Laura snorted. "Why do you even care? You're suppose to hate me because I kidnapped you."

"Call me crazy but even though you are holding me against my will here, I just can't hate you. I've been trying not to like you but I just can't help myself. I like you, Laura," he said, giving her hands a squeeze.

"You're lying," Laura replied, her mouth agape.

"If I was lying, would I do this?" Chris asked before pressing his lips against her's unexpectedly.

Laura sat there in shock as Chris moved his lips softly on her's, his tongue darting out of his mouth to lick her lips before he moved away.

"Wow," she breathed.

"Did you enjoy that?" Chris asked, smiling.

"Yes, I did," Laura giggled.

"Good. So, are you still mad at me?"

"Are you going to apologize to Tom?"

"Do I have to?" Chris groaned.

Laura smacked his arm. "Of course you do."

He sighed. "Fine. I'll go talk to him now," Chris said as he stood up.

After Chris left the room, Laura plopped backwards onto her bed and squeezed her teddy tight to her. She bit her bottom lip as a smile spread across her face.
