Don't Look Down (Draco Malfoy) -Chap.42.-Daniel

Alexis spent the entire next week finding information about her upcoming surgery.
Luckily she found a human anatomy book in the library and was able to study the procedure from there. It didn't look that tricky to her.
All Hermione had to do was make a small incision approximately four inches wide, from across her ankle, scraping the edge of her talus bone.
Then after that Hermione had to figure out whether the orb was in her upper or lower talus. If it was in the upper talus she would just remove it and replace it.
But if it was her lower talus then that was a different story all together. Alexis slammed the book she was looking at and stretched out to place it back on the shelf.
She wobbled up, propping herself on her crutches. She'd learned not to bring anything with her when she went anywhere, because she'd never be able to carry it with her.
Alexis slowly began walking towards the Gryffindor common room. She passed Draco in the hallway and mustered the dirtiest look she could, which was hard because she still wasn't feeling well.
Draco just rolled his eyes and kept walking. Alexis blinked hard, feeling a crutch slip out from underneath her.
Shit, she thought.
But she never reached the groung, someone's arms grasped around her waist, holding her from the tile flooring and catching her in a dip.
When Alexis looked up she did a double take.
The guys hands formed around her waist, and his skin was surprisingly cool, contrasting hers.
He smiled at her, showing his white teeth broadly.
"Are you okay?" Alexis couldn't help but smile back, "Uh, yeah I'm fine. Thanks." He brought her back up from the dip and grabbed her crutches.
"Are you sure? I don't want you to fall again." Alexis flashed him a bright smile as she steaded herself. "Yeah I'm sure, thanks though."
He dropped his hands to his sides and they made a slapping sound against his slacks. That was the first time Alexis noticed his body.
Even through his white polo shirt she could see his tan skin and his well formed abs. He ran a hand through his shaggy browny blonde hair.
She saw his intense apple green eyes hit hers and for a moment she forgot everthing, getting lost in his eyes. He laughed lightly, "Is something wrong?" Alexis twitched, as if coming out of a trance. "Erm, no." She formed a nervous giggle letting it escape from her mouth almost too soon.
He looked at her, his hands shoved into his kaki pockets. Finally, he held out his hand, "I'm Daniel." Alexis steaded herself on her crutches and reached her hand out, touching his.
"Alexis." He grinned, moving their hands up and down for an unsually long time. It wasn't until he looked down did he realize how awkward it was, he pulled his hand away and Alexis looked down.
"Well, it was nice to meet you Daniel."
"Same to you, Alexis," He began to walk away from her slowly. "Be careful." Alexis rolled her eyes, laughing. "I will!" As soon as he dissapeared around the corner Oliver appeared.
"Hey!" Alexis called out, hobbiling over to him. "Oh, hey. What's up?" Oliver smiled slighty, unsure of what to say.
"I was just coming to see you."
Oliver bit his lip.
"Uhh, sorry. I'm on my way out, playing Quitditch with some of the guys." Alexis looked at him up and down. No broom, no pads. Nothing. Her eyes narrowed, "Oh, okay. Then I'll just follow you out there. I'd love to see you play." Oliver was hesitant, "Sorry, it's a closed game."
Closed game?
What the hell was that about?
Alexis' face tightened, "Alright, well have fun." She turned and started walking off the best she could. "I'm sorry." Oliver said after her.
"Don't worry about it, I understand." Alexis smiled. But she didn't see Oliver shaking his head at her as he walked off in the opposite direction of the pitch.
