Chapter 3 Momo's pitiful defeat
"Good choice. I havent played in a while so I may be a bit rusty, but I know that you know that Im gonna win anyway," I said while smirking.
While Momo and the team went outside Tezuka came with me to my room so I could get my racquet.
"Are you going to use your special move against him or not?" asked Tezuka.
"It depends on how he plays. Has he improved, or not? If not, then no. Im gonna save the move until I go against you again," I replied.
"Alright. But are you going to play fairly?"
"Hell no. He gets a handicap, whether he wants it or not."
Tezuka just smirked and shook his head.
We headed outside and saw Momo and the rest of the team waiting for me to arrive. And Momo looked like he was just about to make a run for it. "Hmm Normally he looks more scared than this," I mumbled.
"I'm sure that he believes that his new smash is gonna get a point from you," Tezuka whispered back.
"A new smash, huh? Well, aint that interesting."
"I'll be ref," said Fuji as he took the position.
I got into position and Tezuka moved over by the rest of the team to watch. "Its your serve as always," Momoshiro.
"Inui-sempai, why does Saeki call Momo-chan-sempai by his full name?" asked Ryoma.
"Because she likes to intimidate her opponent before the match has even started. To her, its particularly enjoyable to see Momo-chan in this state," Inui responded.
*3rd person POV*
And so the match started. Momo started off with his bullet serve, which Saeki returned easily, smirking as she did so.
"Sugoi!" Shouted Eiji.
Unfortunately for Momo, a rally never started between them, it was just Saeki getting point after point, after point. Finally, when it was match point, Saeki did a soft underhand serve which Momo returned, forcing Saeki to hit it as a lob. "Chance!" shouted the team (excluding Tezuka).
*Saeki POV*
'Here it comes' I thought bitterly as Momo jumped up to do this smash of his. He never got a chance through the game to use it, and I really wanted to see it, so I hit it like that on purpose. And then Momo hit it. It went by me so fast that I would only be able to see it if I had been using my special technique.
I smirked and closed my eyes. "OUT!" I called over the teams cheers.
"Nani!!!~" Screamed Eiji. "That wasnt out!!! Was it Fujiko?"
"I'm afraid that Saeki is correct, Eiji. The ball landed just outside of the line. Game and Match: Saeki. 6 games to love!" Fuji called out.
Just then my phone started ringing. "Moshi, Moshi?" I answered.
"Saeki!!! OMG! Ive been trying to call you at your house but no one was answering!!!" said my best friend and vice captain, Midori.
"Taku calm down. I was just embarrassing Momo in front of the whole boys regular team. No need to freak out."
"No need to freak out??? You told me that you would call me the next time you played him, so I could watch!!! You You You liar!!!" she said fake crying into the phone.
"If you want to come over, feel free. Besides, Im sure you dont want to leave me in a house surrounded by 9 guys, do you?"
"Wait. You have all nine guys at your house sleeping over at your house that means ALL NINE, right? OMG I am SO THERE. Is there a certain time I should get to your house?"
"Dont worry. Just get here as fast as you can. Were about to order food," I said. In the back round I heard Momo and Eiji start to drool at the sound of food.
"HELLZ YEAH!!! Food food food! AND GUYS! YAY!" Midori yelled. "So Ill pick up some?"
"All vegetarian tonight so..." I started but was interrupted.
"VEGETARIAN?!?" Momo yelled at the top of his lungs.
"Hold on a sec Midori. Momo. Haha-oue and Chichi-oue said that Im in charge. They gave me the money, and told you to listen to me. When I say vegetarian, I mean no meat. In fact, I already locked up the meat in a secret place, where you will never find it, so deal with it for a bit longer."
"You know Momo, eating no meat actually helped my stamina," said Eiji.
"Not helping!" Momo, almost, yelled.
"Momo. Shut up! Because it looks to me like youre the only person who has a problem with this!" I yelled.
"Momoshiro, if you dont eat what Saeki gives you tonight, then I will have you be the taste-tester for my new Inui Juice," said Inui.
Momo nearly jumped out of his skin when Inui brought out his new yellow-orange colored, foaming juice.
"Midori, why dont you just get some Mexican, okae?" I said, once again talking into my phone.
"Okae!!!! Ill be at your house ASAP!!!!!!"
"Alright. Bye," I said hanging up my phone and started walking back towards the house. I noticed Tezuka, Fuji, Ryoma, and Taka-san following me, but Momo and Kaidoh were still fighting with Oishi trying to break them apart and Inui just watching and taking notes... Eiji? Where was he??? Oh, right... He ran up ahead, but thankfully not too far.
When we got home, a figure was standing on the porch. I squinted a bit. "Hey!" I called, waving my hand wildly. "I cant believe you got here before me!!!"
hmm... interesting... Wow... it wuz fun writing about how I wuz lecturing Momo... my fav part by far!!!
