"Thank you Kiro. I could've payed for my part you know." I mumbled as we headed out of the restaurant.
He chuckled. "It's not right to make a lady pay when she's invited."
I laughed. "It's good being a female."
He raised an eyebrow, the soft afternoon breeze swaying his hair. "Believe me, it's better being a man if he gets to take a female like you out to lunch."
I blushed, slightly shoving him away.
He faked defeat, tumbling down to the ground. I rolled my eyes as he dramatically gasped for air, clutching his chest.
"Oh no! What a tragic death! An almighty ANBU black ops captain was defeated by a whimpy medic-nin. I shall now go to my room and cry my eyes out." I
stated, as if reading an imaginary script.
I left him laying down on the ground as I walked away.
"Hey!" I heard him shout behind me.
I turned around, arms high in the air as I mocked him. "Egad! He lives!"
He frowned, pushing himself up with an evil expression on his features.
I looked at him warily, taking slow steps away from him as he dashed towards me.
A shrill scream made it's way to my lips as I ran.
I looked back, seeing him through the crowd as he gain more speed. I laughed uncontrollably when I felt his arms around my waist.
"Put me down!" I giggled as I softly pounded on his back.
He laughed, completely ignoring my command.
"You, out of all the people in Konoha knows how I am when I'm angry..." I threatened.
My eyes widened when my derriere made contact with the hard ground.
I raised an eyebrow, as I rubbed my backside.
"You are such a gentleman." I mumbled, trying to sound sarcastic.
He grinned, holding his hand out to pull me up. "I know, it gets hard especially being with an extremely beautiful woman."
I rolled my eyes. "Flattery gets you no where Kiro."
"Oh, but it will." he stated, looking straight into my eyes. I shifted, feeling uncomfortable under the weight of his gaze.
"Well, I have to go. I have a mission tonight." he mumbled.
"Good luck." I stated.
I felt something soft on my cheek just before seeing a puff of smoke.
"That was adorable." a lazy voice drawled right beside my ear.
I jumped a little, realizing that someone was behind me.
I turned around and saw Kakashi.
"My lazy, perverted best friend!" I lunged forward, drowning him in my arms. He chuckled as he hugged me back.
"Where were you?" he asked, breaking the hug.
"I gave birth."
He stared.
I blinked.
"Okay..."
I laughed, poking his chest. "Tsunade-sama had me deliver a baby."
"Where?"
I rolled my eyes at his corny response. He laughed, guiding me as we walked.
"So, how was it?"
I grimaced, thoughts of the previous event still fresh in my mind. "I fainted right after the baby came out."
"That's good."
I smacked his shoulder. "Hey!"
His eye smiled.
"What are we doing here?" I asked, feeling queer. My eyes browsed the secluded section of the bookstore.
When I heard no reply, I turned to look at him. I raised an eyebrow at his serious expression.
"Could you please just keep quiet for a few seconds."
I rolled my eyes. "Can't you just buy this book?" I suggested, holding up a copy of: 'My girl.'
He turned around, staring at me.
I shrugged. "Hey, I thought you would like it. Seeing as it has pictures of half naked women on page 12." I flipped the pages, "and pages 16, 24, 37, 46..."
I drifted off, still counting the pages.
"Oh, and the story line isn't bad either." I commented as I read.
I heard him sigh.
"Marry me?"
I came to a halt.
"What?" I asked, feeling my heart beat unintentionally.
He took a step forward, my initial reaction was to back up against a shelf. His face came closer to mine as his eye smiled.
"Sorry, I had to find a way to make you shut up." he said, right beside my ear.
I frowned, raising an eyebrow. The constant beating finally returning to its normal pace.
He burried his hands in his pockets. "Well, the new Icha Icha still isn't out."
I rolled my eyes, following him out of the store.
We walked around the busy streets of Konoha, just talking.
"So, then I told her that..." I stopped, realizing that Kakashi's attention was somewhere else.
I followed his gaze to Kiro.
"I really dislike the way he looks at me." he said.
"And how does he look at you?"
"Like he wants to kill me."
I laughed at that. "Stop being paranoid Kashi."
He shrugged.
I smiled, rolling my eyes.
He chuckled as he placed an arm around my shoulders.

"You know, you need a girlfriend." I suggested.
He cocked his head to the side. "And why would I want a girlfriend?"
"I don't know. To keep you busy."
He raised an eyebrow. "Are you implying something?"
I blushed, realizing what I just said. I frantically waved my hands, "No, not that way! I mean, you'd spend time with her, and she would keep you occupied from reading."
He laughed. "I don't need a girlfriend, I have you to keep me annoyed."
I smiled shaking my head as we continued walking.
"Hey, wanna join us later? I'm treating the genins to the hot springs and to dinner tonight."
"You're actually treating them?" I asked, astonished.
He nodded.
I gaped. "Wow, you're not being cheap today. May I ask why?"
He chuckled, "They did a good job on the mission we had earlier today."
"Well, you better be treating me as well."
He walked on, ignoring me.
"You know what, I'm seriously thinking that you're secretly in love with me." I called out, catching up to him.
He side-glanced, chuckling. "And what makes you think that?"
"I can see the desire in your eyes." I spat, sarcastically as we approached my house.
