One missed call from Dan??Your heart felt it skipped a beat. You hadn't talked to Dan in nearly 3 months. You suddenly thought of the night you had just had with Adam.You instantly regretted almost everything that had happened. You had gotten much to touchy feely with Adam. You did like Adam but you had Dan....for now...but wait what if thats why he was calling to tell you that it wasn't working. You immediatley started dialing you didn't even care that it was approximatley 4 AM in London. If it was important enough he would talk to you.
The phone rang three times before a sleepy voice answered.
"He..Hello?" said a sleepy sounding Dan.
Hearing his voice you closed your eyes and sighed. It just dawned on you how much you had actually missed him.
"Hello?" he said again.
Your eyes snapped open and you answered.
"Its me."
"Hi." he said softly.
"Hi."You responded.
"I called you."
" I know, I am returning the call...sorry it so late."
"Its alright, I'm glad you called."
"I miss you." you said in a whisper.
"I know,"he replied.
"I'm sorry I didn't respond to you."he continued.
"Its okay."
"I don't know where to begin."he said sighing.
"Its over."
You had meant that to sound like a question, but it had come out more as a statement.
"It is... but Ness, I just want you to hear my explanation first, I'm sorry I didn't call I..."
You cut him off-"Wait, you're not ending it?" you asked confused.
"I wasn't planning on it, but seeing as you just did..."he stopped.
"Oh no...I thought thats why you called me." you said.
"No not at all!"
At this point you closed your eyes and sighed so happy.
"Lets just not talk about it, its forgotten."you said.
"Are you sure?"he asked.
"Of course, but I need to tell you something."
"Whats that?" you could hear the relief in his voice.
"I hung out with this kid Adam...and I dunno we hugged and he had his arm around me and I dunno I figured I tell you." you said.
"And?" he asked.
"Thats it...you don't care?"
"Not really, I mean it was as friends rights?"
"Of course." you said.
"Then its not a big deal, I put my arm around Emma all the time." he said.
"Yeah I guess... I dunno I just figured that I'd tell you."
"Well thank you."he said laughing.
"Aww, I miss your laugh."you said sighing.
"I miss your everything,"Dan said.
"when can I see you again?"he asked.
"Hmm... I'm not sure, I have a three day weekend this weekend and then nothing until Christmas Break...maybe then."you said.
"I don't want to wait until Christmas."he whined.
"I know." you agreed.
Your phone conversation lasted a little longer, but not much as Dan had to get a few more hours of sleep because he had filming tomorrow.He promised he would try to call and text you more, but it was still difficult because of his mother.
You put the phone down on your nightstand, and made a mental note to call Rupert in the morning. You also decided that you were going to hang out with Juliette and Jess tomorrow. You really did miss them and hadn't really hung out with them because your newer friends, Caitlin, Chloe and Jenna were starting to dominate your free time. You realized that you needed to make more time for Juliette and Jess because they had been there for you in the beginning.
You laid in your bed and began thinking. These three months had been a real growing time for you. You had met and became friends with new people. You had thought you lost the boy you loved. You had never missed someone so much in your life besides your mom. That was a huge thing, you never thought you would ever feel the ache to see someone so badly that wasnt your mother. Your thoughts were interrupted when you heard the garage door opening signaling that your Aunt was home. You rolled over and drifted off to sleep.
You woke up to a beam of sun shining across your face from your open shades. You rolled over and looked at your digital clock which read 10:27 AM. You picked up your phone and saw that you had a new text message from Dan. It read:
"I loved talking to you last night, I'll call you later, I love you."
You then dialed Rupert's number remembering the mental note from the night before. It went right to voicemail, he must be shooting so you left him a voicemail telling him that you had called Dan and everything was okay even though he probably already knew because Dan had probably called him and told him. Once you were done you decided to call Juliette.
The phone rang once and she answered.
"Sheesh, I thought you forgot about me."
"Ahhh!! I know I am so sorry... I don't even know I am so sorry, but we are doing something today...cancel any plans you may have already made, you me and Jess are having some hardcore bonding time." you said.
"For sure, what time?"
You filled her in and called Jess and let him know what was going on.
You finished with that and got up and went to your closet and took out some jeans and long sleeved blue shirt. You put on some basic makeup and deoderant and perfume and walked downstairs to go eat some breakfast. You walked down stairs and saw your Aunt Kat still in her bathrobe eating cereal on the couch watching something on MTV. You walked into the kitchen and grabbed a bagel and spread creamcheese on it,grabbed a plate and went to go join your Aunt on the couch.
"Good Morning." you greeted her.
"Hey, any plans for today?"she asked.
"Um, yeah Jess and Jule are coming over, that alright?" you asked.
"Sure, I am working an event this afternoon into tonight but yeah call me if you need anything, I'll leave money and you guys can go out or order something...whatever." she said and got up and went upstairs to what you assumed was get ready. An hour later and your doorbell was ringing and you ran to answer it. You swung the door open to see your two best friends standing there beaming at you. You immediatley launched yourself at them embracing them.
"I'm such a bad friend." you said letting them inside.
"Pretty much but we forgive you for your lapse in judgement." Jess said smiling at you.
You hugged your friend again and walked further into the house with them, happy to see them again.
