"Well, sit wherever you like." I mumbled as I threw my keys aside.
"Why are we here?" I heard him ask as he plopped comfortably on the couch, feeling very at home.
I poked my head from the small flight of stairs, "I'm going to change."
He raised an eyebrow as he pulled his mask down, "You already look good!"
I stuck my tongue out as I entered my room, I took off my current clothing from when I delivered the baby and threw it in the basket. I rummaged through my drawers, my uniforms were intact. I looked around, trying to find simpler clothing. I groaned, realizing that I did some laundry this morning.
I looked around the living room, already being here multiple times. I memorized every corner of her house. I smiled, seeing a picture of the both of us beside the couch. I picked it up as I looked it over. I had the same picture at home, by my bed. We were sporting our ANBU uniforms and holding our masks. Maemi was smiling, as did my eye. I chuckled, reminiscing the day we became ANBU.
I traced the picture frame, looking at the grinning face of Maemi. Her hair was shorter, as was mine.
I returned it when the sound of footsteps came to my ears.
I looked up, seeing Maemi in her underwear.
"You do realize you're in your underwear, right?" I asked uncomfortably, shifting in my seat. I felt heat rising up to my cheeks as I felt a small drop of blood from my nose.
"And?" she stated, hands on her hips as she cocked her head to the side.
"I'm a man." I stated, "With manly desires."
I caught glimpse of her, rolling her eyes as she dashed to the wash room. I sighed, tilting my head upwards, preventing bloodflow. I still don't understand why I go over the edge when I see her like that. I've seen her before, yes, more times than one, but it was whenever she got injured and I had to tend to her. She doesn't seem to mind walking in front of her best friend like that, so why should I?
She came back, fully dressed as she combed her hair.
"So, what time are we going?" she asked as she sat beside me.
I looked at the clock in her living room. "Around 5."
She smiled, putting her comb away as she spread her arms wide. With a thud, she toppled over me.
I raised an eyebrow."What are you doing?"
She grinned. "Making your life miserable."
I rolled my eyes from under her. "Real mature."
She laughed as she sat up. "Since when have I been mature?"
"Why can't you be as focused and serious when you were an ANBU?" I asked, not really meaning it.
She winked, "Now where's the fun in that? Plus, I know you want me when I'm obnoxious."
"Oh yes Maemi, I really do." I sounded sarcastic, completely different to how I really felt.
I turned to look at her as her eyes caught mine.
She stared.
I sighed, "What are you doing?"
She ignored me, still staring.
"Are we having a staring contest?" I asked.
She nodded, using her thumb and index finger to keep her eyes open.
I lifted my forehead protector, and stared back.
I deliberately blinked, realizing that this was useless.
"HA! You blinked!" She screamed as she pointed an accusing finger at me.
I smiled.
"Kakashi?"
I met her eyes, "Yes?"
"I like it when you smile." she complimented as she kissed the tip of my nose.
I raised an eyebrow. "Why did you do that?"
She grinned. "I'm your best friend, I don't need to explain myself."
I looked up the clock, noticing that it was still 2:30pm. Maemi followed my gaze and sighed.
"Hey, how about we spar to pass the time?" I suggested.
She smirked, "You'll regret that."
I grinned as I stretched. Kakashi was already a few meters away from me, looking as lazy as he normally do.
"Are we starting or do I have to wait a few days?"
I narrowed my eyes as I positioned myself. "Hand to hand combat only."
"Are you afraid I'll beat you?"
I rolled my eyes, putting my hands on my hips. My eyes widened as I grunted, when Kakashi suddenly appeared behind me, his hands over mine. Damn it!
"Wrong move." I heard his voice right by my ear. I huffed, propping my legs up as I leaped, kicking his abdomen. I landed in front of him as he turned around catching my punch. I smiled, throwing another punch towards his chest. He blocked it and kicked me. I immediately lifted my hands over myself and caught his kick. With a thud, I fell on my back.
I groaned, kicking myself up, "I'm really losing my touch." I took a kunai from my back pouch and threw it towards Kakashi, he dodged.
I rolled my eyes, charging towards him.

"Get off me!"
I smiled, using my free hand to wipe the sweat from my forehead. I had Maemi underneath me as I held her hands over her head.
She sighed as she tried to knock me over. I laughed as she glared.
"You're one heavy man, you know?"
I nodded.
She rolled her eyes, "Has it ever occured to you that this looks so wrong?"
"I know you like it."
"Ew, no."
I laughed.
"So can you get off of me now?"
I shook my head as she let out a scream of frustration.
"That was a great work out. I almost lost." I stated.
She huffed, "Yeah, that's only because I haven't been training for a few months."
"Maybe. Or maybe I'm still better than you." I replied, finally getting off of her.
She laughed, looking up to sky. "Hey, it's getting dark."
I nodded, "They must be waiting for us."
She nodded as we walked, we were having a conversation when I suddenly felt something. I pushed Maemi out of the way, making the kunai hit a tree.
Maemi looked up, a shocked expression on her features as she shakily rose a finger towards the unfamiliar person.
"You? I-It's not possible."
