Call My Name [03]
I have a sudden interest in this story..."Ronnie! Get out of there!" Daley yelled, banging her fists on the bathroom door. "It's been fifteen minutes!"
A very flustered looking Ronnie stepped out, not holding back the impatient look in her eyes. "I guess I won't straighten my hair today!"
Daley stook out her tongue, and stalked into the bathroom. Picking up her regular brown eyeliner, she carefully did her makeup with a steady hand, trying not to make it seem too much. Cause then she might look like her younger sister.
She quickly brushed her teeth and ran a comb through her hair, then jolted down the stairs.
"Bye Mom! Love you!"
"Love you too! Have a good day!"
She walked down the driveway, then stopped dead in her tracks.
"Daley! Good morning!"
"Trey?" She asked, starting to get worried she was seeing things. But no, he was very much there. Tan skin, dark eyes and the whole Roman god act. "What the heck are you doing here?"
Trey flashed a blinding smile and gestured to the red sports car behind him. "You missed the bus. So you need a ride to school, right?"
Groaning internally, Daley covered up her stupidity with a laugh. "Well, yeah. Thanks, I guess."
He opened the door for her. "No problem, darling."
Blushing, but not letting him see her ruby cheeks, she slid into the leather seats. Trey put the keys into the ignitition, music blasting immediatley out of the hidden speakers.
Opening night for the same old show.
Well the lights go down and the curtains up.
Tell me is the spotlight bright enough?
Read the cards and recite those lines
"Oh my gosh! The Hoodies?" Daley exclaimed.
Trey smirked. "Great band, aren't they?"
"I love them! A Place on Solid Ground is all that ever plays on my iPod." She gushed, tapping her feet to the drum beat.
"Your the first I've met in this weird town to say that. You must bea good person."
"Well, I hope I am." She said stupidly.
Chuckling, he turned into the school parking lot. "Here we are!"
"Ahhhh. I hate school!" Daley kicked her bookbag forcefully, resulting inthrobbing toe. "Damn!"
"Lets skip."
"WHAT!??" She whirled around, eyes melting in his. "Seriously?"
"Yeah."
"But I never-"
"Until now."
Daley considered her options. Go to school, be bored and alone. Skip school with the hottest guy on earth. It was almost scary why she even considered school.
"Fine. Drive on, Trey."
