Aya’s point of view

Hi my name’s Ayami, but everyone calls me Aya. Everyone in my village fears me, except for two people. My grandfather, the leader of the shadow nation, and Kai, my best friend.

I recently snuck into my grandfather’s meeting room and over heard his plans to attack Ba Sing Se.

Flashback

“So what are your plans father?” I heard my dad ask my grandfather.

“We will remove all of the children’s souls and turn them into soul less soldiers, except for Kai and Aya.” Akito said.

“Why not Kai? I understand why you wouldn’t remove Aya’s soul.” Koharu said.

“Kai has a weakness. That weakness is your daughter.” Akito said.

“Very well, what are the rest of your plans?” Koharu asked.

“Then tonight, we will camp just outside the city. Then at dawn we will invade the city and attack.” Akito said. After that was said, I ran out of the meeting room and out of the village. After I ran out of the village, I continued to run toward the water tribe.

End Flashback

At the water tribe

I walked up to a water bender and asked, “Where might I find the Avatar?”

She turned to look at me and said, “Y- You’re a- a S- Shadow bender.” She ran off through the village yelling Shadow bender. Everyone turned and stared at me. Then they all ran inside their houses. I sighed and turned around to leave.

Before I walked out of the village, I heard a boy say, “Wait, why are you here? You have to have a reason for coming alone.” I turned around and saw the avatar, a boy, and a girl.

I walked up to the avatar, bent down on one knee, bowed my head, and said, “My name is Aya. I am a shadow bender and I live in the village just north of here. I overheard the leader’s plans to attack Ba Sing Se.”

“Please call me Aang and what are his plans?” Aang asked.

“Very well. He plans to remove all of the children’s souls, except for two, and turn them into soul less solders. Tonight, they are going to camp just outside the city and at dawn, tomorrow, he plans to invade the city and attack.” I said.

“Why are you telling us this? You’re a Shadow bender. For all we know you could be luring us into a trap.” The girl said.

“Katara….” Aang said.

I stood up and said, “Believe what you want. I have my reasons for warning you.”

“You should believe her Katara.” Said a girl as she walked up to me.

“Ana do you know her?” the boy asked.

“Yes I do Sokka. She’s a friend of mine. Long time no see Aya. It’s been a very long time hasn’t it?” Ana said.

“Yes and I’m sorry, but we can never be friends like we use to be.” I said and turned to the Aang. “Aang believe what you want, but I have my reasons for warning you about my leader’s plans. I must return now, goodbye.” I said and walked out of the village.

Aang’s point of view

“Ana how do you know here?” I asked.

“She’s a friend from when I was younger.” Ana said.

“Aang do you really believe her, about what she said the shadow nation plans to do?” Sokka asked.

“I’m not sure, but if what she says is true, then I can’t just sit around.” I said.

“Are you going to Ba Sing Se, then?” Katara asked.

“Yes I am.” I said.

“I’m going with you.” Ana said.

“I am too.” Sokka said.

“Well if everyone else is going I guess I will.” Katara said.

“Well then let’s pack our things and go.” I said.

Aya’s point of view

“I figured he would choose to go. Well I better get back before they suspect something.” I said and ran into the forest.
