After School
Once the last bell rang, I ran to my locker, and got what I need. After that I ran out of the school and all the way home. I threw my bag on the table, ran upstairs, and went into the bathroom. Shadow opened my bag, jumped out, and followed me upstairs.
“Aya, why are you in such a rush?” she asked.
“Our neighbors are coming over and I’d like to be clean when they get here.” I said as I got in the shower. Once I got out, I put on a black skirt that went to my knees, a black shirt with sleeves that went a little past my elbows, black boots that went to the middle of my shins, and I tied a purple bow around the collar of my shirt.I brushed my hair, brushed my teeth, and walked downstairs, carrying Shadow, just as the door bell rang. I sat Shadow on the table and walked over to answer the door.
Ichigo’s point of view
After School
Aya just ran out of class once the last bell rang. Rukia and I went to our lockers and met outside the school.
“So Rukia, are you coming with my family and I to meet my new neighbors?” I asked.
“I guess so.” She said.
“We better hurry then because Yuzu and Karin are probably already at home.” I said as I started to run and Rukia followed. Once we reached my house, my dad burst through the door, kicked me in the head, and I fell to the ground.
“Are you ready to meet our neighbors, Ichigo?” Dad asked.
“Yeah I guess.” I said as I got up off of the ground.
“Do you mind if I come along?” Rukia asked my dad.
“Sure you can.” Dad said. We all walked inside the house and Rukia and I sat our bags on the table.
“Karin, Yuzu, come on let’s go.” Dad yelled. Karin and Yuzu came down the stairs. We all walked outside and went to the house on the left of ours; well only if you’re facing my house. My dad knocked on the door and when the door opened, we saw Aya. She was wearing a black skirt that went to her knees, a black shirt with sleeves that went a little past her elbows, black boots that went to the middle of her shins, and she had a purple bow tied around the collar of her shirt.
“Hello Aya, mind if we come in?” my dad asked.
“Sure.” She said as she walked away from the door.
Aya’s point of view
When I opened the door, I saw Ichigo, Karin, Yuzu, Rukia, and Ichigo’s dad.
“Hello Aya, mind if we come in?” Ichigo’s dad asked.
“Sure.” I said as I walked away from the door. They followed me into the kitchen. Ichigo was the last to walk inside and he closed the door.
“Aya, why didn’t you tell us that you were living here?” Ichigo’s dad asked.
“I forgot.” I said as I opened my fridge and grabbed a package of strawberries.
“So where’s your family?” Ichigo’s dad asked.
“They’re all dead.” I said as I opened my cabinet and grabbed a plate. I walked back over to the table and sat the plate down. I opened the package of strawberries and dumped them on the plate.
“You can some if you want. I’ll be right back.” I said as I walked up stairs. I walked over to my calendar and realized that tomorrow is my birthday, June 17th. The day my mother, father, and brother died trying to protect me. I sighed and walked back downstairs.
“Hey Ichigo, could you tell the teachers that I won’t be at school tomorrow?” I asked.
“Why?” he asked.
“Tomorrow is June 17th, my birthday.” I said as I sat down at the table.
“Well the thing is….” Ichigo said.
“Tomorrow is the anniversary of my wife’s death.” Ichigo’s dad said.
“Well tomorrow is not only my birthday, but the anniversary of my mother’s, father’s and brother’s deaths.” I said.
“Well then we shall go together.” Ichigo’s dad said.
“Umm…. Alright.” I said.
“Well, it’s getting late, let’s go home.” Ichigo’s dad said as he stood up and walked toward the door. Karin and Yuzu followed him.
“Rukia and I are going to talk with Aya a little more.” Ichigo said.
“Alright, bye then.” Ichigo’s dad said as he walked out the door with Yuzu and Karin.
“Hey Ichigo, I just got a great idea.” Rukia said.
“What is your idea, Rukia?” Ichigo asked.
“Since Aya lives alone and she lives right next door to you, how about I live here.” Rukia said.
“I don’t care, its Aya’s choice.” Ichigo said.
“So what do you say Aya, can I?” Rukia asked.
“Whatever.” I said.
“That’s her way of saying yes.” Shadow said.
“Well, I’m going home.” Ichigo said as he walked to the door.
“I’m going to go get my things.” Rukia said as she followed Ichigo out the door.
