The next day at the fair I was wearing a pair of jeans, and a Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon t-shirt, and a pair of green converse, and I had pulled my hair into a ponytail, but knowing the press was going to be there I did put on a little bit of natural makeup.
I went downstairs that morning to see Maria hanging up the pictures from the night before on the refrigerator.
"Oh god." I muttered. "Isn't it bad enough the whole world had to see that, now I have to see it every morning staring at me from over my orange juice."
"Yep." Maria said.
"Great." I rolled my eyes.
"Was it your first time kissing him?" she asked, and me and Max both choaked on our orange juice.
"Jesus Maria, love, the girl doesn't get a rest from the press, can't you at least give her a rest?" Max asked, looking in shock at his wife.
"What?" she asked. "I just want to know. I feel like he's come around, you've become more distant."
"Think it could have anything to do with the fact that I had no idea I was getting married until about a month ago?" I asked.
"Coommmmeeee onnnn." she whined, and I rolled my eyes.
"You don't have to anwser that. You know how she gets." he said.
"Alright, yeah, it was our first kiss."
"Awww." she cooed. "How was it?"
"Ahh!" I yelled in disgust. "Not something you discuss with parental figures, I don't ask what it's like kissing Max, do I?!"
"I certenaly hope not." Max muttered.
"You never asked." she said.
"LEAVING!" I shouted, grabbing my car keys.
I got into my car, and smiled feeling the fimaliraty of the seats, and just, being in my car.
"I'm sorry baby." I said to my car as I started it up. "I've gotten used to that damn limo."
I drove to a gas station, where I was nearly assulted by the woman behind the counter, begging me for my autograph.
I signed the magizine that bore mine, and William's face, and then bought one, and a Twix, before I drove to the White House, and I had my picture taken five million times before the gates opened, and I drove through quickly, leaving them behing.
"Morning Lamarr." I said, and he smiled at me.
"Morning Young Miss." he said.
"Where should I park?"
"Right down there is fine." he said, and I smiled, before I drove over to the spot, and parked, and grabbed the magazine, before I walked up to the door, and was let is.
"Hey!" Alice called to me from the kitchen, and I waled in to see her, and a bunch of her middle school friends.
"What's up girls?" I asked, as Alice held up a fork full of pancakes to me. "Pancakes." I smiled, and took the bite. "Thanks. These are really good."
"Your really dating her older brother?" one of the girls asked, and I nodded.
"My parrents say your a hippie." another girl said, and I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah, well, so's my brother." Alice said, and I grinned.
"Check it out Alice." I said, and showed her the article they wrote about us.
"Wow." she said slowly. "They don't even know the half of it."
"They wish they did." I said, and she laughed.
"Good morning Petra." a deep voice said, and I jumped, holding my heart.
"Jesus, Mark." I muttered, smaking his arm. "You scared the maharishi out of me."
"Sorry." he chuckled, and then lightly took the magazine from Alice, and looked at the cover, and then at me.
"Promise they didn't photoshop it." I said, and he smiled lightly. "Now, if you don't mind, I'm gonna go scare the ba-jeebus out of my 'boyfriend'." I said, before going upstairs.
I got to his room, and knocked lightly, before I opened the door, and shut it, before droping to the floor, and crawling over to his bed.
I slowly lifted my face up 'till I was level with his sleeping face.
Three.
Two.
One.
He opened his eyes with a slight frown, and jumped back with a girlish scream as soon as he focused in on my face.
I burst out laughing, as he picked himself up from the floor, shaking, and bright red with embarasment.
"What the hell is that?!" he demanded, as I took the mask off.
"It's a hockey mask!" I laughed. "I found it on your floor!"
"I can't believe you." he said.
"Believe me!" I said happily, before I skipped over to where he was standing in his boxers. "Morning." I gave him a quick peck on the lips, and then turned around, and skipped out of the room, not before I stopped, and looked at him "Oh, yeah, get dressed, we're going to the fair like you said."
"What's this?" he asked, picking up the magazine I had left on his floor.
"Read it!" I said, and then went downstiars, where I told the group of girls what had happened, and they all burst out laughing.
