.::Chemistry Within Two Shadows::.{Nara Shikamaru}.:Chapter 10:.

"Welcome back"

Tayuya grunted and asked why you had returned, you didn't really give a damn about her, and it was Orochimaru who you were concerned about. There were eyes about every corner of the room, the Sound Ninjas all around you in daylight; they all had located themselves in a rusted old hide out of some other clan that got burnt down.

"I want to get away from your list. Please Orochimaru-sama; I really want you to leave me alone. I want a life Orochimaru-sama!" You pleaded, all you wanted was to get away, and even Kay had tried to stop you.

That was why you left her with Shikamaru back at Konoha and traveled alone for more than a day. Who knows where you're supposed to be right now, or who - other than Shikamaru - would be looking for you. It wouldn't be much you thought.

Anyway, Orochimaru had only chuckled and clicked his fingers and soon all four of the remaining Sound Nins had leaped at you, it was a surprise attack, and you were trapped, you didn't bother to fight, that or even bother to do anything at all. You were expecting this, but to look like you weren't you made it look like you didn't know at all.

"I should've expected better, Megu" Tayuya grunted as she kicked you on the ribs, you released a slight groan and shook your head. "Cowards like you are so predictable. Should've expected better from you"

"Now, now, there is no need for more violence than that... Right Megu-Chan" Orochimaru spoke out, his words just hissed out of his mouth, just a disgusting way to speak. You shivered at every word slithering out of his mouth. "All we need to do now is await for them to rise"

"What?" You narrowed your eyes. "Don't let it come back!"

"Oh yes, yes" Orochimaru chuckled so loudly that it echoed throughout the room, as did some other followers.

"Shikamaru... Where is Megu-Chan? I haven't seen her for two days!" Nara Yoshino questioned, she and her husband had been away from the house for a while, and they had been speaking to Tsunade in plans on protecting both you and Konohagakure no Sato. It was all unexplainable till finally.

"She had to go somewhere"

"I asked you where specifically!"

"Now, now dear, I'll give him a man-to-man chat" Shikaku placed his hand on his son's shoulder as he forcefully pulled him out of the sight of his angered wife with a broom that tapped onto her open palm, he sighed though once they were both out and began to walk. "Shikamaru, I know you are up to that stage of falling in love"

"What?"

"I told you right that you will find a woman fit enough to be your bride"

"Bride!? Isn't that a bit too far?"

Shikaku chuckled and began to reminisce. "I remember before, when we first met Godaime, you told me right after that you despised women because of how bossy they are and stuff"

"But Me-"

"She will be... You just wait"

Shikamaru slapped his face, "Dad, I don't think this is the right moment to talk about that yet"

"You will see... Just wait" Shikaku chuckled, his hands placed on his sides as he leashed out a rather really pathetic laugh.

"You are very embarrassing, this is because you married a bossy woman, you're too beat up Dad"

"No I'm not"

"Yea you are"

Then the argument lasted the whole hour. "Get back inside!" Yoshino called from a far minutes after, well maybe not an hour, but you know what I mean.

"This is impossible, Orochimaru-sensei" Tayuya nagged, she had sat on you for quite some time and you never really bothered to do anything about it, instead you were actually asleep, Orochimaru had been doing something for him not to notice anything about you, and Tayuya had been the one who kept nagging and nagging on the fact you weren't paying any attention towards her.

"Why won't you bloody turn evil already?"

"Why should I?" You yawned, you stretched as you still remained sat on, Orochimaru seemed to have returned as you looked up, he held a blade near his wrist and sliced it, and blood dripped above you as you watched it drop one by one. You gulped and shook your head as your eyes slammed shut, you didn't want to see the blood, nor did you even want to look at anything else at the drowsiness you were soon feeling. You also felt the weight leave your back as you opened your eyes, they were all covered in black, you were crying and pretty soon every single shadow around you had crawled slowly towards your groaning figure, every single red gaze around you were exposed to be nothing more than bats that tricked you.

"There, see Tayuya, patience"

The wind slurred about you as shadows slowly eased up and looked as though they fought for your body, pretty soon you rose, this happened before, but last time it was Shikamaru who stopped you, but this time it seemed as though this was nothing out of the ordinary shadow demon you leashed out.

"Argh, what have you done Orochimaru-sama!" You yelled as you rolled onto your back, your shadow covered hands turned to claws as you pushed them into your head, and your spine arched from the pain and your mouth seemed to have opened wider than usual as your skin began to rip. It felt painful enough than it was before, your heart pounded heavier and heavier, the beats of it were clearly heard from the distance between you and the man who raised you. You hands grew to a claw, pretty soon you were not visible, you were underneath all the darkness and once you reopened your eyes, the darkness had eaten you alive.

God, it was as painful as being torn apart, you were bitten, your skin was ripped to shreds, your intestines and guts were torn out of your body.

What was left of you was only the torn out clothing, the remainder of the memory of what you used to have appeared to be were shattered.

What stood upon the people around you was a demon, one that was supposedly taken away and sealed by the people who were massacred at your creation; it was something that was thought to have all been a myth, one that was never proved to be true...

Till that very moment.

A 10 foot tall demon that was told to have fought the three tailed beast and the legendary Kyuubi, but it had been so many years ago that when it had been reincarnated.

Shishou Megu had been the body to have sealed it.

It was a death toll.

"Kay... Neko or not you have protected and known Megu more than me. Would you think she would like this?"

A box, the lid being lifted and revealed a beautiful gem that was carefully carved neatly into a rose shape as it rested upon a necklace, clearly measured and sparkled in its own silver colors.

"Beautiful..." Kay's voice faded, the thoughts consisted of her Master's return. 'But I don't think she'll ever see it...'

The cat glanced outwards towards the view of the town as she rested peacefully on the window sill of Shikamaru's room, as the young Shinobi closed the lid; he walked closer to the window and sighed. "Well, it'll be a late anniversary present-" He paused as he closed his eyes and weakly smiled. "-Of the very first time we met"
