Amethyst's POV:
"Ready for what?" I asked, confused, to say the least.
"Come. I will tell you Amethyst."
"OK then..." I saw Emmy leave with one of the Elders, while Ruby stayed in the conservatory with the last Elder.
"You have done well, Amethyst."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, ya said that already. Skip to the punch line, Elder." I sneered 'Elder' as though is was some kind of insult.
"Do you know of that little, problem, we're having in England?" He said 'problem' as though the title did not quite fit.
"No, actually, I don't. Enlighten me."
"In the UK, the witches and wizards use wands to do magic. One of these wizards has turned against the rest with his followers, called Death Eaters. His name is Lord Voldemort. He wants to kill those who are muggle-born, half-blood, or blood traitors so only the pure remain."
"That dude's got issues. But what's this got to do with me?"
"Only one person has survived a direct attempt at murder from Voldemort. His name is Harry Potter. At the moment he is 15, and there is a prophecy stating he is the one who will kill Lord Voldemort. He and his friends need to stay alive until then."
"Sooo..."
"Your getting your first charge."
"Yay! Who is it?"
"Harry Potter."
"WHAT!!! This guy seems real important, and you give him to me as my first charge."
"You also have powers to protect him with."
"OK, whatever."
"You're moving to England also."
"What!!!!"
"Harry needs around the clock protection."
"K, what's my cover."
"Your an American exchange student. Your movng in with Miss Figg, a squib."
"A what?"
"A squib. a person born from magical parents, but has no magic themselves."
"Ok..."
"I also want you to tell Harry who you are and why your really there."
"Ok, when do I leave?"
