It's about time: A Renji one shot

You sat with your Lt. doing paperwork. Naturally. Ever since Tousen left, Hisagi's been a stick in the mud. Well, he's at least been very distracted. You looked up from your seat at him.
"What is it Ai?" He asked, you smiled.
"Wow, your good." You said smiling. You had been moved from 11th squad 4th seat to 9th squad 3rd seat, right after Aizens betrayal. You had known Hisagi since the Acadamy since you had been friends with Renji there, and they became close. He laughed and looked up from his paperwork.
"You've been looking up at me then down at your work for the last 30 minutes. Anyone would have noticed that." His laugh was great, you really liked Shuhei. He was what you would call, a really good guy. Slightly perverted, but a good guy none the less.
"I'm bored, and you've been doing paperwork for three days now. Can't we put this on hold and go hang out with our friends?" You asked pouting, and walking over to his desk. He looked at you smiling, as you gave him your big puppy dog eyes.
"Now come on there's no need to flash those big blue eyes at me like that. We have to get this done. You know..... Okay just stop looking at me like that." You jumped up.
"YAY!" Your outfit was just like Soi Fongs. Since you used to fight alot, you didn't want really long robes getting in your way, you had long pink hair, that was usually held back in a clip. Today no expetion.
"You just want to go see Renji anyways." He said, causing you to stop doing your happy dance, a slight blush on your face. "HA, see your blushing." Hisagi said. You turned to him, pointing in his face.
"Shut up. Just because I want to see him is not a big deal, we've been good friends for a long time."
"Who's him?" Asked an all to fimilaur voice from the door. You turned and saw the HOT red head standing there. His expensive glasses on his head. Hisagi pushed you forward.
"She wants to see...."
"Kenny!" You screamed over your Lt. Who looked at you funny. "I haven't seen Kenny in like forever. I think I'll go see him." You said walking toward the door. Your hands behind you. As you watched Renji's face contort into a confused look. "I'll see you guys in a bit. Remember Shuhei you promised to go hang out, so when I come back I don't want to find you doing paperwork." You ran down the front of the building rounding the corner quickly and heading toward the 11th squad.It wasn't that it was much of a lie, you hadn't seen your former Captian in a few weeks, so you did miss him. But the truth of the matter was that you really wanted to see Renji. It was hard to explain what had happened over the years that you had known him. You started out as friends, and then became best friends, then there was this feeling you had when you were with him. When it was just the two of you. Your heart had started slamming against the walls around it. And then there was this calm. Like nothing bad could happen when you were with him. Even after Rukia returned, he kept you close and even said, "Ai, look things are going to get difficult around here, but if anything happens to you or you need help, don't hesitate to ask me. I'll come running if you need me." Just thinking about it you started smiling. Shuhei knew you liked him, no matter how much you tried to deny it. He would always get you to blush.
"Ai your heading in the wrong direction if your heading to 11th squad." You smiled and blushed turning around and looking at your surroundings.
"Wow, 2nd division." You said, happily. Looking at Renji as he watched you with the same confused look on his face.
"Yeah 11th squad is the other way." He said pointing down. You slapped you hand to your forhead.
"Duh, I must have been spending soooo much time doing paperwork inside with Shuhei that I just wondered in the wrong direction." Renji layed his hand on your head.
"Ai are you sure your okay? You were a bit wierd back in the office and now your wondering around in the wrong direction, heading for asquad you have been in since we graduated from the acadamy." You smiled at him, and grabbed his hand off your head, he was slightly taller than you and by slightly you ment about 8 inches taller. "Don't worry Renji the truth is that I had something I was thinking about and I just kinda wondered off in the wrong direction. Sorry if it worried you." You said, still holding his right hand. He smirked at you.
"Is it some guy?" You blushed.
"Well yeah." You looked up into his eyes. There was a mixture of emotions that ran through his eyes.
"Is it Shuhei?" He asked looking away from you. "He said you guys had been spending alot of time together."
"No. I mean I like Shuhei he's a great guy. But well." You looked up at him. "Okay look, I'm just going to say it outloud." You closed your eyes and started. "Look the guy that I've been thinking about is you. I knw we've been friends for a long time and everything, and I don't care if you don't feel the same way about me, but I need to tell you and..." you felt his lips land on yours, you opened your eyes, and grabbed his face, bringing him closer to you. He smirked and pulled away from you.
"Well its about time. Shuhei told me a few weeks ago." You squinted at the Lt. before you.
"Well why didn't you say anything?!" You screamed. He laughed.
"Because it was fun messing with you." He said leaning down and kissing your lips. He pulled away from you smiling and this time so were you. "Why are you smiling at me like that?" He asked suspiously.
"Oh I'm just happy that you feel the same way. Now I'm going to go find my Lt, and kick his ass. Excuse me." You said walking away. Renji reached up, rubbing his head, realizing that something was missing.
"Ai GIVE ME BACK MY GLASSES!" He screamed chasing after you. You looked back at him running off ahead of him, slipping his glasses on your head.
"Nope you said you like screwing with me, now I'm going to screw with you. And I'm going to really hurt Shuhei." You skidded to a stop as his arms wrapped around you."Curse you flash step." You said, looking up at him. He smirked down at you, leaning down and kissing you so completely.
"Lt. Abarai sir." You heard from next to you. He looked over at his 6th seat.
"Yeah what is it. I'm busy." He said, still holding on to you.
"Captian Kuchiki wants to see you." He let out a long sigh, and let go of you.
"Alright lets go." He said walking away toward his division.
"Hey Renji!" You screamed he looked over at you.
"Yeah?" You pointed at your forehead.
"What about your glasses?" He smiled at you.
"Don't worry about it, I'll get them from you later. Just don't break them." He said.
"Are you sure?" You asked.
"Yep, hell Ai, chasing you is half the fun." You smiled as he rounded the corner.
"Yay. Now to kill my Lt." You said running toward your squad room. Maybe you wouldn't kill him, after all he was the one that started this, maybe you would thank him.
"Yep I'm definatly going to thankhim." You said running your fingers along the glasses on your forehead. "My glasses now." You said laughing.
