"And as a special treat for all of you, the first duel of the new term shall begin with Jesse Anderson and our best student -"
"ME! Finally some recognition for my duelling ability" Chazz stood up from his seat, smiling smugly at the crowd who had all turned to face him.
"Chazz, Princeton sit down" Chancellor Shepard shouted, "Anyway, as I was saying, Jesse will face our best student, Jaden Yuki"
"WHAT?!" Chazz snapped mortified as he feinted back, Jaden smiled happily as he pumped a fist in the air "Oh awesome, the first duel of the new school year and I get to be a part of it!"
You giggled as Chazz sat back in his chair crossing his arms and huffing, "Aww, better luck next time Chazzie" you said leaning over and ruffling his hair as he wacked your arm away from him.
The room began to empty with students filing out, full of chatter and excitement for the duel, which would be happening after lunch.
"Hey guys" the young boy, you now knew as Jesse walked up and greeted you all, you blushed lightly as his eyes scanned you again, and winked.
HE WINKED AT ME! Oh he so wants me....ew I didn't just think that did I? I'm becoming just as bad as our whole year, nearly worse than Jasmine and Mindy, ughh.
"Oh hey! Why didn't you tell me you were one of the new transfer students!?" Jaden asked, downtrodden, actually that was a lie, when was Jaden EVER downtrodden.
"I guess I just plum forgot to, and hey, you didn't even ask" Jesse grinned sheepishly, which made you squeal inside.
Okay, that’s it. I’ve officially lost it, and it’s all Jesse's fault.
"So is it okay if I hang out with you guys until our duel, since I don't really know anyone around here" Jesse asked, again directing his eyes to you, smiling at you.
"HEY YEAH THAT'D BE AWESOME!" Jaden said, excitedly, and grabbed Jesse's arm, pulling him towards the Slifer dining room, you, Hasselberry and Syrus following at a casual pace, grinning at their antics. Well Syrus looked slightly downtrodden that Jaden had just up and left him, so feeling pity you linked your arms playfully with his and continued your walk to the Slifer dorms.
Arriving at the dining room you saw Jaden and Jesse already sitting down at a table, both with full plates and bowls of food, great another guy with Jaden’s appetite, you sighed as you made your way over to Professor Banner to grab a sensible amount of food before sitting down at the table, coincidently opposite Jesse and began to eat.
“So, are you gonna tell me your name this time?” Jesse stopped eating to say to you, giving you yet another smile. You nearly felt yourself implode at the overwhelming feeling that welled up inside of you.
“You’ve met?” Jaden asked, surprised.
“Briefly, she was in a bit of a rush though, and didn’t look too happy” Jesse replied.
“Oh, that was because of Chazz, my name’s -” you began, but were cut off.
“Did I hear my name?” Chazz asked, smirking as he sat down with a plate, too close for comfort in your opinion.
“Unfortunately, what are you doing here anyway? I thought you were placed back in Obelisk?” you asked him, his rank used to mean more than anything to him.
“I was, but I figured I’d spent so much renovating my room here why would I leave it? Especially not to let any of you go in and ruin it” he replied smugly. That was the biggest lie you’d heard from him, you knew that his room in Slifer wasn’t even a percentage of the money he owned, and that it wouldn’t have even made a tiny dent in his pocket.
“Whatever Chazz, well as I was saying -”
“Who wants to hear you speak Daniels?” Chazz once again interrupted you rudely.
Ughh, I’ve had it up to here with him You thought darkly as you stood up, taking your plate off your lunch tray and slammed it over Chazz’s head, smirking at the pained look on his face, which quickly dissolved into a glare, then, placing your plate and tray on the cleaning table, you stormed out of the Slifer dining room, walking down the stairs and outside.
You still had a good 45minutes left of lunch as you began walking towards the beach, hoping to lie down and relax before afternoon classes and the duel between Jesse and Jaden.
“Hey wait up!” you heard a voice from behind, as you stopped and turned to face Jesse.
“Hey,” you muttered, turning around and beginning to walk as he caught up with you, “So, noooow do I get to know your name?” he asked, falling into step beside you.
“My name’s Alyssa, but everyone call’s me Ali”
“Alyssa, I like that”
“Thanks,” you blushed slightly, hiding your face with your vibrant hair.
“Who was that guy back there? Not an ex-boyfriend I hope” Jesse asked intrigued, chuckling lightly.
“Boyfriend? Ew no, he’s just some guy that drives me mad, we’ve never really seen eye to eye,” you thought of you and Chazz and glared ahead of you.
“Oh right, that’s good, So where are we off to?”
“We?” you questioned.
“Yeah, me and you. You and I if you want to be grammatically correct” he grinned at you as you giggled.
GIGGLED? I NEVER GIGGLE.
“I was just going to the beach” you said as you continued in that direction.
“Great” Jesse replied as he continued to ask you polite questions as you both trekked to the beach, you asking him similar questions in turn.
When you got to the beach you saw a group of girls squealing at a young boy on a surfboard riding across various large waves, you sighed at their stupidity, what were they doing, it was just a guy.
“Woah, that guy certainly has a fanclub” Jesse noted as you both took a seat on the sand.
“Yeah, he does” you laughed as the guy in question made it back to the sand as the group of girls squealed and cheered louder, smirking at them he walked straight past them, making a beeline for you.
“Hey Ali” he grinned, sweeping you into a hug
“He- ugh you’re all wet, thanks a lot Atty” you playfully glared at the brown haired boy who took a seat beside you.
“Haha sorry, who’s this?” he asked, looking to Jesse. You rolled your eyes, leave it to Atticus to miss the opening assembly.
“This is Jesse Anderson, Jesse, this is Atticus Rhodes”
They clasped hands before both leaning back again, and engaging in polite conversation while you listened.
After a few minutes Atticus stood up, grabbing his surfboard that he had stuck into the sand while he was sitting with you, “Well I’m gonna go dry off and change, I’ll see you guys later” he smirked before turning and walking away, surrounded by the same group of girls who seem to have been waiting for him to leave your conversation just to crowd him.
“So was that your boyfriend?” Jesse questioned
“What is it with you, you think every guy is my boyfriend,” you asked, genuinely wanting to know why he thought so.
“It’s cause you’re real pretty, I thought you would have been swept up a long time ago” he grinned at you,
“Thanks,”

“But he’s not, Atty’s like a brother to me, nothing more” you made that clear.
“Oh that’s good” he grinned; he looked relieved, as he continued to stare at your face, making you turn even redder.
“Good?” you questioned
“Yeah, very good”
“Why’s tha -” you were cut off yet again but this time from the bell going off to signal the end of lunch,
WHAT IS IT WITH ME GETTING CONSTANTLY CUT OFF TODAY?! You growled inside your head.
Jesse chuckled lightly, “Well, I guess I’ll see you later, Alyssa, I know you’ll be rooting for Jaden in our duel, but hopefully you’ll still wish me luck” he winked at you again, was he…flirting with me?
“Sure I will, good luck, Jesse” you said to the boy, who stood up, brushed the sand off the back of his trousers and grinned before turning around and walking towards the school building.
“Bye Alyssa” he said, you loved the way he said your name, it sounded better than anything you’d ever heard before.
“Why do you call me Alyssa? Everyone calls me Ali” you shouted at his retreating figure.
“Because I’m not everyone,” he said smirking as he turned back to glance at your face, and continued to walk towards the school.
This is going to be a good year.
Sorry, it's not as good as the first, but I haven't watched Yu-Gi-Oh GX for a while now [I know, shame on me >_< ]
Anyway I'll try and update more often now anyway, or do more one-shots or whatever you want, cause it's the summer now so I'm free for 5 weeks.
