The Firebending Warrior(A Prince Zuko Love Story)Chapter 1: The Avatar Returns

You, Sokka and the rest of the people watched as Katara walked up to all of you with a 12 year old boy you never seen before. A group of children ran up to him to see him. “I knew it you signaled the fire navy with that flair. Your leading them straight to us aren’t you.” Sokka said “_____ this is Aang.” Katara said to you. You smiled. When Sokka started talking about how he should leave and Katara wanted to go with him and Aang was just left when Sokka ran back to his tent and put on some face paint and got ready for the fire nation ship to arrive.

He ran and waited. Everyone else got supplies ready as the ground began to shake. Everyone around you ran but you stayed where you were. Out of the mists came a fire nation ship. The ship split a part of the ground in half as it got closer and finally stopped. “Sokka! Get out of the way!” Katara yelled. He was pushed back. With a noise of metal on metal the bowsprit of the ship opens and folds out and down onto the village's floor. As the steam clears from the top of the bowsprit, Zuko and a host of Fire Nation soldiers are revealed. They walk down. He walks over to Katara and her grandmother. “Where are you hiding him?” Zuko said to the villagers. He looks around the crowd as there is no response. He grabs Katara’s grandmother and shows her to the villagers “He'd be about this age? Master of all elements?” Zuko said. He throws Katara’s grandmother and he launches gout of flame over the villager's heads. They cower in fear. “I know you're hiding him!” Zuko yelled again.

He notices you. Looking at your outfit “Well looks like we’ve got another one from the Fire Nation with us.” You looked at him with a glare and said “Yes you do Prince Zuko.” He moves away a little bit when Aang flies on a penguin right under Zuko, sweeping his legs out from under him. Zuko lands butt up. The helmet lands on his rear. The children in the group cheer as Aang reaches the villagers. “Hey Katara. Hey Sokka. Hey______” He said to the three of you “Hi Aang. Thanks for comin'.” You looked at Zuko surprised as he got to his feet and got into his firebending stance. Zuko and his men begin to close in on Aang but he blows the men on either side of him backwards with blasts of air. He blasts Zuko as well, but he holds his ground, shielding his face from the wind.

“Looking for me?” Aang asked. “You’re the airbender? You're the Avatar?” Zuko said surprised. “Aang?” Katara asked “No way.” Sokka said You just watched the whole thing. Zuko and Aang maneuvering for position against each other in the middle of the village. “I've spent years preparing for this encounter. Training. Meditating. You're just a child!” Zuko said to Aang “Well, you're just a teenager.” Aang said. Zuko fires blast after blast. Aang cries out. He is hard pressed. Aang dissipates each blast as it strikes by twirling his staff in front of him like a helicopter blade. It doesn't block the fire from reaching the villagers, though, and they cry out.

Aang stops twirling his staff looks at Zuko and said “If I go with you will you promise to leave everyone alone?” Zuko nodded to Aang and said to his men “Bring the girl too.” They knew Zuko meant you. You shook their hands off and walked onto the ship with them. Katara had tried to get both of you to stay but you both kept walking “Set a course for the Fire Nation. I’m going home.” Zuko said again

You, Zuko, Iroh, Aang and some of Zuko’s men were out on the main deck of Zuko’s ship “This staff will make an excellent gift for my father. I suppose you wouldn't know of fathers, being raised by monks. Take the Avatar to the prison hold. And take this to my quarters.” Zuko said giving the staff to his uncle. Zuko went inside. You were standing outside his quarters he asked you if you would help him with capturing the Avatar. You accepted. You both hid behind the door in his quarters waiting for Aang. You both heard someone running when you heard Aang’s voice “My Staff!” he ran in and Zuko closed the door. “Looks like I underestimated you.” there was a slight pause until you and Zuko started blasting him.

Aang got up into a corner and started breathing heavily. You and Zuko continued to blast at him as he dodged every move. Aang rolls underneath Zuko to get behind him. By staying behind him, Zuko is unable to blast him with fire. Aang moved away from Zuko as you shot another blast at Aang that knocked him down. He immediately got back up. Aang creates an air scooter and rides around the walls and ceiling of the room, all the time getting licked by the gouts of flame Zuko unleashes at him. Aang grabs a tapestry off the wall. He wraps Zuko up in it as he passes. While Zuko struggles against the tapestry, Aang is able to grab his staff. You shot another fireball at Aang and it knocks him down again which let Zuko free himself from the tapestry. Aang gave a worried look. Aang airbends a mattress up off the floor and slams it into Zuko. The mattress propels Zuko into the opposite wall. He is smashed into it and he falls to the ground, onto the mattress.Zuko looks up in anger to find Aang gone. You waited for Zuko. You both ran to catch up with Aang you both jumped off the bridges observation tower. Zuko grabbed Aang’s foot and fell as you landed on the ground easily. Zuko got up and you got into your firebending stances. You and Zuko see some giant flying objects heading your way fast “What is that ?” you and Zuko said at the same time.

“Appa!” Aang yelled happily as you and Zuko continued blasting him. Aang twirled his staff again which almost causes him to fall off. Once he had his balance you and Zuko continued blasting him he continued twirling his staff. Zuko shot more blasts at him. He almost fell off. Zuko continued and Aang was caught off guard and fell into the water. Aang's eyes and tattoo's glow white, an expression of determination forming on his face. He turns around in the water and begins to rise towards the surface. Around him, a whirlpool of water begins to form. Aang, at the center of a now monstrous, inverted tornado of water is pushed toward the surface at amazing speed. He breaks the surface in front of the ship, towering high over the bridge atop his swirling maelstrom of water. Aang lands on the deck, his eyes still aglow, and bends the water from the column around him in circle. He releases it and it expands outward in a shockwave that blasts Zuko and his men overboard. You looked around Katara, Sokka and Aang were leaving just as Iroh just woke up. He helped Zuko up back onto the ship. “Shoot them down!” Zuko called out. You, Zuko and Iroh made a massive fireball and shot it to Aang, Katara and Sokka.

Aang used his staff like a baseball bat, airbends a gale that sends the fireball at a right angle away from Appa and into the ice cliff nearby. The fireball explodes, releasing a huge amount of ice from the cliff wall which falls into the narrow channel that Zuko's ship is navigating. “Good news for the Fire Lord. The nation's greatest threat is just a little kid.” Iroh said to his nephew. “That kid, Uncle, just did this. I won't underestimate him again.” Zuko said to him “Dig this ship out and follow them!” He saw his men thawing out the men that were frozen “As soon as you’re done with that.” You came up to him and put your hand on his shoulder and slightly smiled.
