I slowly sat up from my bed; my clock said it was 3:30am. I yawned and went got up. My throat was really dry so I went to go into the kitchen, as I walked through the living room the lights flicked on. Within seconds of that I was pushed up to the wall. My eyes locked with Violet like eyes.
Lestat
“Hello Mon amour, did you miss me.” He smirked
“Not really.” I managed to say
He laughed “No worries it won’t matter soon.” With speed he bites into my neck.
I jerked and fell to the floor. I opened my eyes and I was there on the floor wrapped in my bed sheets. My hand flew to my neck and searched for any mark. There was none. I sighed with relief and untangled myself from the sheets. I looked at the clock and it said 6:00am. The sun wasn’t up but it would be soon. I walked over to the window and opened it. I sat on the window seat and watched the sunrise, all the colours mixing together. Purple light shone down onto my face and it was so welcoming and warm. I closed my eyes and smiled. All thoughts of the psycho vampire seeking revenge left me head.
I woke up a few hours later and began to pack. I was bored and I decided I would head home. I grabbed everything I need and the keys to Lestat’s Bike, seen as how Becca had taken my car to get home.
I jumped on his bike and rode until the evening. I stopped at a diner and grabbed some food and ate it quickly. I checked that my bag was tied down tight still and for safty I tightened it. I mounted the bike again and rode the rest of the way out of the city and though the towns, it was going to take another couple of hours until I got back and I didn’t mind it was a lovely night.
Pulling up outside my house I clicked the button to open my garage and pushed the bike in. I walked back out and closed it up and went inside my lovely warm house. It was a gift off my parents, easy way to get rid of me.
I changed and fell into my bed happy to be home at last.
A few weeks later I had forgotten all about Lestat and was back working and going to my drama club. We were putting on our own performances and I actually got a song to sing. I wasn’t the main character that was Shanna. I played the next main girl.
My song was memory by Barbra Streisand. It was difficult seen as how I couldn’t sing like her. I had no training what so ever, just a passion for what I was doing. It was the opening night and only one scene away from my song. I was stood off in the wings listening to the words mining along to everything. The curtain closed and then it all went dark. I sighed and walk on slowly into my spot slightly off centre.
The curtains opened to reveal me in a long black prom like dress. It was tight at the top with a poofy skirt. I felt like a complete arse.
The curtains opened and a red light shone on me.
The music started up and I took a deep breath and began.
Midnight
Not a sound from the pavement
Has the moon lost her memory
She is smiling alone
In the lamplight
The withered leaves collect at my feet
And the wind begins to moan
I began to move around the set. I lent against a lamp post that was on the set. My character was a young girl whos fiancee had just been killed. She was now on her way home a year later from a party that was to celeabrate him.
Memory
All alone in the moonlight
I can dream of the old days
Life was beautiful then
I remember the time I knew what happiness was
Let the memory live again
Every street lamp seems to beat
A fatalistic warning
Someone mutters and the street lamp gutters
And soon it will be morning
Daylight
I must wait for the sunrise
I must think of a new life
And I mustnt give in
When the dawn comes
Tonight will be a memory too
And a new day will begin
Burnt out ends of smoky days
The still cold smell of morning
A street lamp dies ,another night is over
Another day is dawning
This was the worst bit I took a deep breath and sang as loud as I could with out shouting. I spun around the lamp post.
Touch me,
It is so easy to leave me
All alone with the memory
Of my days in the sun
If you touch me,
Youll understand what happiness is
Look, a new day has begun
I slowly sank to my knees as the lights changed from the red to an early morning yellow sort of colour, I sang out and held the last note and I finally finshed. My song finally finished the play with a shadow coming up behind me and the curtains closed.
For a supporting actress my character had more parts then the main character. She had more depth due to the loss of her fiancee. I loved it. Everyone was clapping I could hear them. I loved this part. The curtain went up and we all did our group bow. Then the major rolls bowed then I had my own bow seen as how I didn’t act very often with anyone and didn’t have a partener in the play. Roses were thrown and it was just magnificent.
I ran back to my dressing room laughing with Shanna and shuting the door behind us.
“Oh that was briiliant, you sung beautifully Shanna.” I gasped
“And you Mo, oh and if you didn’t notice there was this beautiful man in the audience blonde hair tied back and rigid blue eyes, he was watching you so closely.” She said as her mind wandered off.
Everything from the concert came flooding back. Had she seen Lestat? How had he found me? Was he finally going to get his revenge? I ran out of the room in my dress. I had ballet flats on and I ran to the main room where everyone was at the after party. I looked round trying to see if he was there. If he was he wouldn’t do anything in public, would he?
“He’ll do anything to get what he wants.”
I spun round to face a stranger, he had blonde hair and fridged blue eye, but he was not Lestat.
“No I am not Lestat, I am Marius de Romanus. It is a pleasure to meet you; your part was truly brilliant. You played it well.” He said
“Thanks,” I looked at him werilly, he read my mind obviously which meant he was a vampire, and he knew Lestat. “I must go.”
I tried to walk away but it didn’t go according to plan, he had a light hold on my arm and he wasn’t letting go anytime soon. He was a lot stronger then me even if he wasn’t a vampire I wasn’t all that strong.
I stood still and turned to him. I looked at him with the most polite face I could. And venomusly muttered.
“Let go of my arm you blood sucking freak, I don’t care for you to suck me dry thanks I have a few more showings for the play before then.”
I felt him loosen so I pulled myself free and walked off, only to have him apper infront of me. I glared at him and then he pulled me off into one of the side rooms and sat me down.
“Look I hate to be rough with you but Lestat is out for your blood and yours alone. It isn’t safe for you to be out in the open.” He explained
“I think I can handle his royal pain in the rear.”
“Really?” A voice came from behind me
