Forgetting can be painful (Fruits Basket) ~part one~ Just listen to me!~

Yes. It is time, time for your introduction. Bear with me. Your name is Yura Hamashite. Your hair goes about half-way down your back, and it is the color brown. Although, one day you went and put black on the tips of it. Your eye color is black, very dark. You hieght is normal, although you are on the skinny side which always has been a nuicence since you wish you were curvier. You're eighteen years old and are studying to become a doctor. Hatori is your teacher that you were sent in to assist and take notes from. Then one day, you accidently slipped and fell onto Hatori, which made him transform. Akito strangely decided to let you keep your memories so you could finish school with one acception: you'd have to be Akito's doctor and stay close by at all times. Easy, huh? Yeah right! You've already met almost all the Sohma's. You met Haru second, right after Hatori, when he was hanging around Hatori's office. Haru acts pretty friendly around you, but he never lets you get very close to him for some reason. Like he's hiding something. Yuki treats you like he treats everyone else. Same thing with Kyo, Shigure, and everyone else. Except Hatori. Hatori is a little kinder to you, and maybe even a little fatherly. This story is going to be focused on you and Haru, if you don't like that pairing, than Boo Hoo. Press the back butten and forget that this even exists if you want to. Now lets begin, shall we?

"What the hell, she's moving in?!" yelled Kyo when he answered the door and saw you and a bunch of boxes on the porch.
"Why yes, Kyo! I'm moving in," you smiled brightly at him. Then, your face became dark as you whispered in his ear, "And if you give me any crap about this, I'll kick your little kitty ass."
"Why you little-" Kyo lunged at you but was stopped when shigure flung himself over the orange-haired teen.
"Ah, Yura! How nice to see you. Looking beautiful as ever."
"Hello, Shigure," you said calmly ignoring the last statement, "thanks again for letting me stay."
"Not at all, not at all," he smirked to himself. 'While Yuki and Kyo fight over Tohru, I can have this one all to myself!' Shigure thought, 'How lucky! Yet another pretty girl who knows the family secret. She's not a highschool girl, but she'll have to do.'
"Get the hell off me!" screamed Kyo, shoving away shigure, "if you're really gonna live here than you'd better not get in my way!"
"I don't plan to," you shrugged at him, "so go away."
"Why I oughtta.." Kyo steamed.
"Yura-chan!" came an excited squeal from the oppisite end of the room.
"Tohru!" you smiled, "I told you to just call me Yura. Any formalities just make me nervous."
"Is it really true that you're moving in with us?" Tohru asked hopefully. It would be so much fun for her to finally have a female friend to confide in without having to worry about giving away the Sohma secret.
"Yep. That's right," you nodded at her, amused at how excited she was, "Although..." you continued thoughtfully, "I still am amzed that Akito said yes, just like that. He seems like a down-to-buisiness kind of guy. I wonder why he's letting me, of all people, stay."
"Well, let's not worry about that right now," said Yuki, who was just comming down the stairs and had overheard the conversation. He would rather steer clear of talking about Akito for the moment.
"Hey Yuki," you smiled up at him. You had always been nice to him because for some strange reason, you felt sorry for him.
"Well, let's get your things up stairs," chimed in Shigure.
"You mean her crap," scoffed Kyo, "look at this mess!"
"Shut up," you said, gritting your teeth.
Everyone helped move your things into your room, which, incidentily, was right in between Yuki's and Kyo's rooms. When you finished changing and unpacking it was already nighttime, so you decided to head downstairs for dinner. (There's a pic of your outfit is in the results ^^)
You smell the wonderful aroma of rice and edamome cooking when you reach the kitchen.
"That smells great, Tohru," you call out.
"Yeah, it does," someone says behind you and they startle you.
"Haru! Don't do that!" you yell at him, "that was freaky."
"Sorry," he says slowly. But somethings wrong, he won't look you in the eye.
"Okay...." you say uneasily, "freako..."
"I'm not a freak!" Haru suddenly snaps and yells at you.
'Oh no,' you thought, 'he must be in a bad mood or something. I caused him to go black!'
"Okay, Okay! I'm sorry I didn't mean it!" you try to calm him down.
"You don't get it," he says angrily, "I'm just trying to protect you."
"huh?" you say confusedly.
"Get out of here!" he yells at you. His words are angry, but his eyes...his eyes are filled with pain and sadness.
"Haru, what's wrong?" you ask uncertainly. Usually, if someone had been yelling at you like that, they would be hurt by now. But something was wrong here.
"Just go away!" he yells again.
By now, everyone in the house has come in the room to see what's going on.
"Haru," said shigure cautiously, "that's enough."
"Miss Hamashite," whispered Yuki, wishing he could help.
"No, damnit!" Haru exclaimed, pinning you roughly against the wall.
"Stop it, Hatsuharu!" you gain enough courage to yell at him.
But the look in his eyes grow fiercer.
"What do you want?" you ask him.
"H-haru-kun," said Tohru, "you n-need to calm down!"
"Why won't you just listen to me?" Haru whispered into your ear so that no one else could hear him. He held your chin in his gloved hand as he stared blankly into your eyes.
"Haru I-" but your voice was cut off be the sound of water splashing everywhere. Kyo stood behind Haru with an empty bucket in his hands which he had just used to pore water over haru's head with.
"That oughtta take care of that bastard," he said glaring at Haru's back.
Haru stepped away from you as he spoke calmly, "what happend? Why am I wet? Is it raining or something?"
"oh good," exclaimed Tohru, "Haru-kun is white again! I'll go get a towel and dinner will be ready in just one second."
"I...I went black?" Haru asked.
"Yes indeed!" sighed shigure, "and I don't know what would have happened if it hadn't been for jealous Kyo stepping in."
"Jealous?!" screamed Kyo, who was blushing madly, "he was pissing me off, that's all!"
"I'm sorry," Haru murmered to you shamefully.
"no..no," you said quietly, "we all have bad days, right?"
Haru nodded uncertainly and sauntered off to the kitchen slowly with his head down.
'What was that all about?' you thought to yourself.

Soon, you were all seated around the table enjoying a home-cooked meal, compliments of Tohru. Kyo and Shigure were still arguing about Kyo's little 'rescue' from before. Yuki and Tohru were talking about some 'secret base'. And you were deep in thought about the fiasco earlier. What had Haru ment? He had sounded so desperate for you to talk to him. You noticed that he kept stealing glances at you throughout the meal as if he half expected something bad to happen to you at any moment. You had always liked Haru. He was cute and nice. Not to mention his eyes. His eyes could hold so much emotion at once. They were captivating to you. But lately, Haru was ignoring you. And now, every time you're around him, you got a sad, strange kind of empty feeling. Like something was missing. When dinner was over, you said goodnight to everyone and was about to go to bed when Haru said something that scared you.
"I want to sleep in Yura's room." he said casually.
"What?!" yelled Kyo angrily, "No way!"
"Stop being jealous!" smirked shigure.
"I'm NOT jealous!!" yelled Kyo, color rising to his cheaks, "it's just...he can't...that's just wrong!"
"I just want to talk to her." Haru said simply.
"RIIIIIIIIIIGHT." growled Kyo.
"I see no problem in that," smirked Shigure, "as long as it's okay with you, Yura?"
"uh-um.." you stuttered. You had never been put in a situation like this before. Your heart was beating so quickly.
"Or you could sleep in my room, if you want," said shigure hopefully.
"No!" you refused, "no, it's fine Haru. Sleep in my room, but just for tonight."
"Thanks," said haru boredly as he made his way to your bedroom door and went on in, closing the door behind himself.
"I'm watching you!" Kyo yelled after him, "my room's right next door!"
Shigure snickered and whispered to your ear as you passed by, "Try to get at least some sleep tonight. You do have work tomorrow."
'Oh man,' you thought worriedly to yourself as you made your way slowly upstairs, 'my first night living here, and I've got Haru sleeping in my room! What's gonna happen. It'll be okay, right?'
With all this in mind, you slowly turned the door knob of your bedroom door.
