Recap: Akito was chasing you and then you turned a corner and crashed into somebody. You fell on your butt. You looked up and saw Hatori. Akito appeared behind you. (Akito): Hatori, erase her memories! You looked up at Hatori and he had a sad look in his eyes. (Akito): Do it now, Hatori! Hatori hung his head and reached his hand out quickly. (Kairi): *whisper* No.
~Story Start~
You closed your eyes. A thousand images flashed through your head. You would forget everything again. You would forget everyone you truly cared for. You would forget Kyo. A tear streamed down your face. And then...nothing happened. You heard a loud thump behind you and opened your eyes. You turned around and saw the unconscious body of Akito on the floor. You looked up to see Hatori to see Hatori's hand outstretched to where Akito's head was a few seconds again.
"What?," you said as you looked awestruck at Hatori. His hand fell to his side and he looked down at you and smiled.
You sat still staring at Hatori. He didn't erase your memories. He erased Akito's, someone who he feared and was loyal to.
He kneeled down to your level. "Are you ok?" he said noticing the blood stains on your clothes.
A smile spread across your face and you almost cried out of joy as you hugged Hatori. He had spared you the torture of losing everyone.
Suddenly a loud bang was heard behind Hatori. Rain and gusts of wind entered the compound. You arched your eyebrow at the hole that was created on the wall. Then entered a breathless Kyo, trying to regain his breath and determination in his eyes. He had a surprised look as he saw Hatori, a bloody you, and Akito unconscious on the floor behind you. "Kairi?" he asked.
You carefully got up and smiled weakly at Kyo. "Hey Kyo."
He embraced before you could even react. You were surprised at first and then returned the hug.
He pulled away and looked at your injuries. "Did he do this to you?" he said as he glared down at the unconscious body of Akito. You nodded.
His eyes grew menacing. "That bastard! Hasn't he done enough!" he said as he prepared to attack the unconscious Akito.
A hand held him back. Kyo looked back at Hatori. "I erased his memories before he decided to erase Kairi's memories so he shouldn't remember any of this. Let him be. Help me take him to his room so he won't know what happened," Hatori said as he slung one arm over his shoulder.
Kyo gritted his teeth in frustration but decided to help.
You idly walked behind them and waited for them outside the door.
They layed Akito on his bed. "So you did this?" Kyo asked Hatori. Hatori remained silent as he checked Akito's condition. Kyo took it as a yes.
Outside you heard footsteps and gritted your teeth. What if it was someone of the compound and they found out what they did? You prepared yourself to knock unconscious anyone who came close. From there came a breathless Haru and you gave a surprised look but it quickly went away.
"That damn cat," he muttered between gasps of breath. He looked up and saw you and smiled. "So he made it," Haru said as he walked up to you.
You smirked. "So you came along to save me as well?"
"Yeah," he said as he looked into Akito's room. "Hatori erased his memories," you said simply and a surprised look appeared on Haru's face. No one expected Hatori to do something like that to Akito.
You hugged Haru. "Well I'm glad my best friend came to help to or else you'd be demoted," you said with a smirk. He smirked as well. He was glad Kairi was back.
At that moment Kyo walked out and your eyes locked. An awkward moment occured.
"Well I'm going to tell the others what happened,' Haru said as an excuse to leave the awkwardness.
'That bastard,' you thought as he left you to fend for yourself. A part of was glad to be with Kyo but you didn't know what to do, and you didn't know if Kyo did either.
You turned around to face Kyo and blushed a little. He was smiling at you.
"What's so funny?" you said defiantly to try and hide your embarrasment.
"Nothing," he said with a smirk. "You cause way to much trouble!" he said irritated.
This suddent outburst made you forget about your embarrasement. "Hey it's not my fault! Especially with people sneaking up on you and knocking me unconscious like Shigure," you said a bit irritated yourself.
"Really? I'm just glad you're ok," he said as he looked away embarrased.
This sudden change of personality surprised you. You smiled.
You looked behind you to check the hallway. "I think we should leave or we'll get caught," you said as you turned around. You blushed at the closeness of Kyo. His face approached yours slowly and he gently kissed you on the lips and pulled away. Another sudden change of personality again and you became embarrased again and blushed.
He smirked while blushing. "Let's go home," he said as he headed towards the hole in the wall he made. You noticed it was still raining.
"Hey Kyo I thought you hated rain but you still came" you said confused as you noted he was drenched with water.
"So?" he said and you smile. "Kyo-kyo is so nice," you said with a snicker.
His cat ears popped out. "Don't call me that!!!!!!"
Behind you heard footsteeps and Hatori approached. "Here," he said as he reached for your arm and bandaged you up. You had forgotten Akito had actually cut you before. Hatori handed you an umbrella. "I'll be there in a while," he said with a soft smile. You returned the smile and were about to open the umbrella to start walking home when Kyo swiped it from your hand.
"Hey!" you yelled out. "What!? It's embarrasing when a girl carries an umbrella for a guy!" he said as he stepped out and you followed glaring at him.
"Fine. This way you have to hold the umbrella for me," you said with satisfaction. "Whatever," he said.
Hatori couldn't help but smirk. Although it seemed like they were arguing he knew they were fully enjoying it.

I know it took forever, I'm sorry T.T I'll try to update as soon as possible but seeing as I'm trying to finish summer homework and school is starting soon. It might take a while.
