Sasuke found himself staring at her. Again.
Small sigh ecsaped from his lips as he forced his gaze away.
„Hey, Sasuke“
He jerked his head up and his eyes met so familiar blue orbs.
“Hn?”
The girl in front of him snorted her eyes held a glint of annoyance.
“Will you get out of my way?”
Sasuke’s emotionless gaze traveled around her. They were standing on a really narrow bridge. It was so narrow that two people couldn’t stand next to each other on it. So he was blocking her way.
Sasuke sighed again and walked off of the small bridge. Kasumi didn’t say a world as she eyed him with hatred before walking away. Sasuke watched her back and her hair twirling in the wind.
When she was out of Sasuke’s sight he turned around and walked in the opposite direction she walked off. Hokage wanted to see him. Again. Everyday it was like this. Tsunade wanted to make sure he was still in the village. After he came back (or truly was forced to come back) to Konohagakure everyone was acting like he could betray Konoha every second.
As he walked down the Konoha’s streets people were giving him suspicious and fearful looks. He ignored every one of them and kept his pace steady even though this made his heart slow down a little bit.
One little boy looked him straight in the eyes. Sasuke’s expression didn’t change as the boy pointed at him with his finger and yelled “It’s that traitor!”.
Sasuke walked past him as the boy’s mother scolded that little kid. Sasuke caught a glimpse of her fearful look he was receiving from her. Like she was scared of what he might do.
Sasuke kept his gaze focused straight ahead and he didn’t even notice as his fist clenched in silent anger.
What the hell were they all thinking? That he wanted to be there? Hell no, he didn’t. He wanted to destroy Konoha but that damn Naruto (like always) had to stop him. Sasuke wasn’t sure himself why he gave up. Now he didn’t even want to demolish the village anymore.
If Naruto hadn’t brought him back by force he surely would have killed himself. He’d gotten his revenge. There was nothing left for him to do.
He’d always dreamed about the family he could have after he kills Itachi.
Family with Kasumi.
But she hated him. She despised him so much that it was clear to Sasuke she would never love him. So his only reason of living had no future.
Not wanting to see those fearful and hateful glares anymore, Sasuke closed his eyes. His body moved on his own as he let his thoughts wonder freely.
Every short second of living was painful for him. He felt sad, angry and guilty at the same time.
Angry because Tsunade was forcing him to stay.
Guilty… well, he did kill his brother.
Sad…every thought about Kasumi made him sad.
Why couldn’t have Naruto let him end his life..?
Several ANBU’s eyes were watching him secretly. He knew it even through he wasn’t suppose to. They watched him to make sure he wouldn’t do something stupid…like kill himself for example.
Maybe he should have killed Tsunade and then run away?
The though looked possible and pretty nice to Sasuke but one thing just didn’t let him do that. He didn’t want to make unnecessarily sacrifices anymore.
Suddenly a loud crash was heard somewhere pretty far away in the forest. Sasuke stopped for a second as he heard surprised gasps and hurry steps leaving him. The ANBU’s who were keeping an eye on him now were gone. Probably they went to find out what happened in the forest and where that crash came from. Must have been something important if they left him alone.
But he was left all alone. That was his chance.
With the same emotionless face on Sasuke started walking again. His pace was steady and calm as he took a turn which led to the forest. His hand tightly clenched the stem of his katana hanging on his belt. Now he just had to find a dark and remote place to end everything, to do something he wanted to do since long ago, since the day he realized that he’ll never have Kasumi.

Kasumi felt on her knees. Trees around her were half burned due to the jutsu she just used. That jutsu had caused a really loud crash too. She could hear Konoha’s shinobis getting near. She knew they wouldn’t like the mess she did.
Ignoring the fact that she was exhausted and her chakra was at dangerously low level she jumped up in the tree and ran away from that burned clearing. After few minutes she stopped and jumped on the ground. Kasumi was panting heavily. She was going to take a rest but then she heard something. Someone else was in the forest.
Surprised she stood up. A sigh escaped from her lips as she decided to check on whatever or whoever that was. It was almost night time, who could be in the dark forest?
She got the answer as she reached a small clearing where a person was standing at least twenty feets away from her. Uchiha Sasuke? He didn’t notice her or her hidden chakra.
Her eyes widened as the cold metal of his katana held high up in the air flashed in the moon light.
A silent scream lodged in her throat and her body froze in horror as Sasuke stuck the sword through his own body.
She saw how he felt on his knees while clenching his stomach with his hands. A choked coughing reached her ears. She might have been imagining things but she still could have sworn she saw blood shooting from his mouth.
Like in slow motion she watched Sasuke’s body collapsing on the ground.
No
It dawned on her; she realized what had just happened. In few seconds she was kneeling beside him.
He was still breathing even through the katana was piercing his stomach.
With trembling hands and heart she carefully pulled the sword out of his body. She didn’t perceive what she was doing or how real that was. She couldn’t even feel tears that now were streaming down her face and falling on the ground where they mixed with dark red and warm liquid.
Somehow she managed to do the hand signs for a healing jutsu. Green chackra glowed around her hands as she slightly pressed her palms to Sasuke’s wound.
But it was no use. The wound was too big. And she realized it. Her breathing became rapid if it wasn’t already.
All of sudden Sasuke opened his eyes slightly, using all the strength he had left. His eyes were empty and blurry already.
“K-k-ka…s-s-u…m-m-i…I,….I-i…l-l-o-v-v-e…y-y-ou…”
And his eyes closed for the last time.
Kasumi felt like screaming. She forced the remains of her chakra to Sasuke’s body desperately trying to bring life back to his body. She could feel the energy leaving her with her chakra but she couldn’t…she wouldn’t stop. She’d lost the desire for living when last breath left Sasuke’s lips.
Her vision got blurry and she felt weak. She knew she had passed her limit. It was all over for her. Her hands stopped gloving as her body collapsed on her one and only love’s dead body.
Her heart stopped. Forever.
It started raining. Heavy drops felt on two young ninja’s dead bodies. Rain mixed with blood washing away all their sins and regrets away.
The heaven was crying…
Crying for two young lives that had ended…
Crying for two young hearts that never had a chance to be together…
Crying for one more sad ending.
Just crying…
